Really great tool to support building my bookish profile and providing ideas to use. Particularly liked the hints and tips of using apps like Canva to support with posting reviews and images
This is a fantastic and accessible guide for reviewing books on NetGalley. I'm appreciative to have read this and learned some new techniques for future reviews.
The Book Advocate Toolkit is very helpful! I"m grateful to have access to this resource and all of its handy tips for writing more helpful reviews.
So helpful for a netgalley newbie like myself! I keep going back to it as a resource whenever I have a question about this site, and so far I've found what I needed. Very useful!
Helpful advice and excellent guide, not just for those new to book reviewing and / or NetGalley.
This short book shows you how to make best use of NetGalley itself, how to write your reviews, and how to think about and decide on the right social media for you as a book reviewer. I loved that they included a "Canva 101" section, as Canva is a great free tool that I use often.
I've been reviewing books for quite a while now but I learned a few things from this guide
Great advice on how to polish my profile. I struggle with what to add when updating it on my Reviewing journey.
An accessible and plain language toolkit to optimize your use of NetGalley and other social platforms. Definitely useful for new users, and I will continue to reference some of the tips here for my Bookstagram page! My only critique is that this should have been advertised more readily for new users - perhaps I just missed it, but I would have found it helpful sooner if I had known it existed!
Helpful! Good for new users to figure out the process. Recommended if you're new to netgalley. Teaches you the best way to request and review books.
Great tool to help us get started!
Helped me get a good bio for netgalley, and gave me some great pointers in regards of how to write my reviews!
What an excellent resource! I learned so much from this toolkit! I have been reviewing books for years and I can see now how I can ramp up the game on my reviews, accessibility, broaden my reader reach, and also tips to accurately reflect a great review, staying within parameters of the publishing companies, as well as NetGalley. Thank you for this invaluable resource, that I will be referring to often. My next step is to research more on how to develop my Bookstagram page, as I have so far only been sharing on Facebook, Goodreads, and Amazon, as well as smaller bookstores. Thank you for the NetGalley for this incredible resource, sending it to me for review consideration. All opinions are my own.
A quickstart guide to all things NetGalley! I found this to be very straightforward and easy to understand when starting out with Netgalley. I particularly enjoyed the visuals which helped to explain the various tools provided on the website.
A very useful guide to navigate NetGalley as well as social media platforms. It's a must-read when starting an account. I made a few mistakes at first with my profile and requests, but once I applied the tips I started to get a few books approved. The Dos and Don'ts are especially helpful, and I will refer to them until I get comfortable with NG.
The one part that I didn't find clear is regarding the distinction between feedback on NetGalley and reviews on social media, which are separate. Since some publishers ask you to hold off until closer to release dates, I thought at first that it applied everywhere. Just a bit confusing for me.
A super helpful guide to understanding the best ways to use NetGalley and how one might improve their profile and reviews.
As a new reviewer on NetGalley, and re-learning how to navigate the review spaces online as well as building my first bookblr, this was a very helpful kit! I enjoyed that the content was broken down into smaller categories so it was easy to find the information that was relevant to me personally. And I was pleased that there were links included to further readings online where I could go to learn more about topics that piqued my interest.
I feel like the information in this kit will be helpful in building my online review portfolio, as well as manage to keep on top of the reading and reviewing that needs to happen on a somewhat consistent schedule. Thank you NetGalley for providing such a well thought-out and helpful kit to your users!
This book is so easy to read. It is full of wonderful information on how to be a great book advocate.
A very useful guide for the new reviewer or revision tool for the old hand. I'm sure I will return to it again and again as I continue in my reviewing journey.
An invaluable resource. NetGalley’s Book Advocacy Toolkit offers insider tips about all stages of eGalley request and review process. Beyond that, the Toolkit provides a comprehensive review platform overview and suggestions for growing your platform, encompassing review writing, branding, and even aesthetic tips. I found this booklet informative and useful and am certain to refer back to it as an occasional refresher in the future.
Loved this brilliant resource - it’s definitely made me reconsider my approach for reviewing ARCs in the future and I’ve started to refine my social media accounts as a result - thank you!
