As a newbie book reviewer, the NetGalley’s Book Advocate Toolkit is very helpful. This book is filled with tips and do’s-and-don’ts for new book reviewers, while for longtime reviewers, this may serve as a refresher. Plus, the visuals make it a lot easier to understand and more enjoyable to read. This book is for all the book reviewers across different platforms. If you just joined NetGalley, I recommend to check this book out before requesting books or adding books in your shelves to review.

This was a quick, easy, uncomplicated introduction to help make the most of my NetGalley account. Best of all, it showed me how to make the most of my social media, blogs, and even some tools I already have and use, like Canva and Trello. I highly recommend taking the time to read this title before jumping into the reviewing pool with both feet.

An essential for those wanting to get started with NetGalley. Those who have been using it for a while may also find some good tips!
It covers far more than the process of choosing and reviewing books. The toolkit also has plenty of tips for how to build your online presence, by platform, with specific guidance on hash tags, length of posts and so on, YouTube and TikTok plus starting a blog from scratch are all included, as well as the "usual" platforms.
I've been using NetGalley for three months now and learnt a couple of new things - how to see the publishers' approval criteria for one.
My own tip is that you can carry on sending feedback. As I post reviews monthly on a blog, I'm conscious that my feedback score lags because I'll have a big upload of 7-8 reviews to do. But knowing that I can create several tweets on Twitter, and post a Good Reads review as soon as I've read the books, and then upload additional links, makes it less stressful!
