This is an appealing novel about the early days of computer coding and the opportunites that computers presented to the few people who understood how to use them. It covers a lot of ground, with hints of fraud, suggestions of genius money making schemes, in and around the main theme of the plot, which suggests that the power of computer intelligence, for good or evil, consists in amplifying the personality of the user. The book will appeal to readers who dont know or are nostalgic about the 'days before the internet,' while whipping through a fast moving and entertaining tale of love and loss.
