a decent book of you're looking for something meaty. I found the initial premise of the heirs being spirited away in the dead of night from a doomed castle a bit overdone and sooooo drawn out. the whole book spends an excessive amount of time explaining anything and everything. the prose is decent and the characters are cool. I liked the magic system. a decent book but took forever to get through.
