An honest account of one mans career in the US Marines, from training to retirement.
The book is very honest and has none of the bravado of other books, which is a nice refreshing change.
I enjoyed the book but felt in areas it would have benefitted with more depth, more stories of sorties flown, any funny or sad stories etc.

This was kind of a slow-moving "Me and Joe" story, but still worth the time of someone who wants to know more about our participation in the Desert Storm.

I enjoy reading military memoir especially when they are written by the service member. This one is about Marine’s twenty five year service. Covering the author’s time in the Marines from Desert Storm through the war on terror. Very informative read.
