Me & My Bipolar was overall a useful book. The focus on Bipolar was shown through the other life events and circumstances of Brigid. This would be helpful in understanding how to respond to similar situations in one's life.

An open and honest account of mental health. Brigid writes about her life and demonstrates how she deals with the highs, the lows, the ups and the downs of both living with and in the controlling of her condition.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for approving me for this arc

I really enjoyed this, I thought it was insightful and helped me with my understanding of bipolar in relation to her and the situations in which people face in their life times.

I think a lot of people would have their eyes opened

From the title, I expected an in-depth look at bipolar - but the book was so ploddy and dull, it took forever before it even touched on the subject of bipolar.
It was about 60% of the way in before it started to focus on bipolar. It touched on mental health in small sections throughout, but the majority of this book is just like a diary entry where nothing much happens, and was uninteresting.
I heard a lot about Brigid Sheehan's friends at school, holidays, university but I just didn't care, and it didn't home in on 'bipolar' enough like it says in the title.

Not as advertised!
