Loved being back in Nightingale Square again! Feels such a familiar place now - although I have not read all of Heidi’s books in order, and you can dip in and out of the different books - you do get to enjoy going back to the villages the books are set in. It was well worth the trip to the Square for the main character too - I won’t spoil the story, but there’s such a feel good, settle down with a good book thing about a Heidi Swain novel - get a drink and snuggle up for the evening with this one!!

A brilliant read and one I really enjoyed. The characters are loveable and varied, the plot is one that is engaging and medium paced. I found myself completely drawn into the story and enjoyed the writing style.

How lovely to be back in Nightingale Square amongst some familiar faces and some brand new characters.

I adored getting to know Beth and all the wonderful characters of the residents of the care home she works at.

I also really enjoyed seeing what activities she was coming up with in her new role, and gotta say I think I would have enjoyed them myself.

And her new housemate Eli, ooh I loved him too!

Beth had banished music from her life despite at one point it being the most important thing to her, and now with Eli being someone who plays music the whole time and a new care home resident who used to be a performer, well music is back in her life regardless, but will she cope?

There are so many varied threads to enjoy in this book, and it was Beth's backstory that really got to me,, actually Eli's did too and the way certain elements interlinked was fabulous.

And the Summer Fair, well you'll just have to read Heidi Swains heartwarming words to find out more about the fair itself.

It's another truly wonderful book from this exceptionally talented storyteller.

Thank you to Simon & Schuster and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

One of our bestselling books this year, and we can see why! Uplifting, warm, funny, emotional.. Heidi packages so much into her books and we know that they truly come from the heart. This was no exception!

Heidi’s books are always pure comfort reads to me, I love that I know what I’ll be getting (roughly) and that I get to spend time with some familiar characters in a well known and loved location. Nightingale square is definitely the place to be in the summer and the fair that this is focused on sounds absolutely incredible, a proper country fair but even bigger and better!

Music was a massive focus for this book, showing the different holds that it can have on people - both positively and negatively, but I think we can all agree that it definitely provokes memories and brings feelings right to the surface. Music really can be a complete mood changer can’t it and both Beth and Eli see this throughout the book.

I have to add that I’m loving learning little snippets about Lisa’s life after her talent being first realised back in the first Nightingale Square book - I wonder if she’ll get her own book at some point maybe..?

One of my favourite parts about Heidi’s books are that you get to catch up with the other residents and characters and I do get that special feeling whenever Jemma or Lizzie are mentioned as they were the characters who kicked off this amazing journey.

Another amazing book that has you captured, it’s the perfect escapism read as you can just pour a big pot of tea, settle down with this for a couple of hours and I can guarantee you’ll feel a million times better! I’m now just gutted I’ve only got Christmas Celebration left until her next book is out!!!

Heidi takes you back to nightingale Square where you will find all your old friends and meet new ones. This book is as good as the first one in this series. You meet up with one of the newest residents from the previous book and a new resident who moves into the square. It is a story of friendship, love and been accepted and becoming part of a community.

It was so nice to be back in Nightingale Square and revisit the joyous town. Whilst I enjoyed reading this book and being back in the square, I haven given it three stars because of all the secrets kept between people - unnecessary secrets in my opinion and I l just wanted them to talk to each other! But that’s a sign of a good book isn’t it, invested in the characters!

In good Heidi fashion, all the characters were loveable and I love that everyone in the square helps each other out! I love that about Heidi‘s books people are so generous and kind and it makes you see good in people - three stars from me. Looking forward to reading the next one!

I'm a massive fan of Heidi Swain and this superb book is another great addition to my ever-growing Heidi shelf! It has all of the things you'd expect in a story written by Heidi: love, family, feel-good, emotion, and joy.

Fabulous to be back in Nightingale Square with characters old and new. Heart warming and engaging. Such a lovely story. Really enjoyable read! The new characters add such colour and I hope they appear in future tales about the square. I was sad to finish!!

I have enjoyed the Nightingale Square series from the start. This latest edition doesn’t disappoint.
It was lovely to revisit the old characters from previous books and I enjoyed the new characters. Beth and Eli are strong but broken characters who soon heal within the Nightingale Square community . I also enjoyed the new characters in the care home , they add another dimension to the book . The book is beautifully written and a great story .
A great read which I would highly recommend
Thank you to Netgalley, Simon and Schuster and Heidi for letting me read this book in exchange for an honest review

I was happy to be back to Nightingale Square and catch up with this great characters.
This is an excellent addition and I thoroughly enjoyed the plot and rooted for the characters.
It's a life affirming and poignant story, the author did a good job conveying the emotions.
There's also plenty of humour and I loved those parts.
Highly recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine

Beth ends up moving in with Eli in a house in Nightingale Square. She thinks it will be a great move, but he is a music lover and she gave up her love of music when she lost her mother. Will music bring them closer or keep them apart?

This was my first book in the Nightingale Square series: it can easily be read as a stand-alone, but it left me with the desire to go back to the previous instalments and know more about this delightful and eclectic comunity.
I loved Heidi Swain's writing style, it's easy to read and engaging, fun and heart-warming. The characters are fantastic especially the residents of the nursing home, soooo lovely!! I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who needs to unplug from everyday routine and relax.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this book. Beth is very identifiable, she has had her heart broken and doesn’t know how to fix it until Eli arrives in her life.
I have to say I really enjoyed the visits to the care home and Greta, all the residents really helped Beth discover herself again.
Seeing everyone in Nightingale square again was nice, they are a lovely community.

I was delighted to have been at the launch of Heidi Swain's first book, The Cherry Tree Cafe and have since read and loved every one of her books. The title and beautiful cover of the Summer Fair immediately conjures up thoughts of home baked cakes and a community coming together and that just sums up this book perfectly.

Beth is totally fed up with her flatmates who constantly leave the place in a mess and she's in a bit of a rut but her thoughtfulness in accompanying a resident in the old people's home she works in leads to a new opportunity for her and she soon finds herself sharing a place in Nightingale square with the gorgeous Eli. I've got to know Nightingale Square quite well from some of Heidi's previous books and feel as though I know the neighbours quite well now.

Beth and Eli reach a stumbling block in their relationship as both have been affected by loss for completely different reasons. A blast from the past provides another complication for Beth and Eli which they all need to work out together.

With more ups and downs than a raffle ticket in a tombola and an adorable and entertaining cast of residents from the care home this book deals with loss, forgiveness, friendship and love but most of all it deals with someone finding and believing in themselves again after being lost for a long time.

This is a welcome return to Nightingale Square and all the lovely characters, but it can also be read as a stand alone story.
After her mother's death, Beth's love of music and singing seemed to be lost forever, but after a fortuitous visit to Nightingale Square with one of her care home patients, she found more than just a friendly community.
I loved the characters and the setting. This is a community that cares and is a story which after reading , leaves a warm feeling and the hope that more books in the series will be written.
