The first book I have read by this author but will definitely be reading more books by Jo. It's a typical romance and is predictable but it's so well written I really enjoyed the story. I loved the characters and the warmth of the book, it was a lovely easy read.

Welcome to Seabreeze Farm by @jo_bartlett123, a NetGalley read. Ellie is stress with her life London, it’s not really her but she has her reasons. Until fate plays a hand in changing her future. The car she loves breaks down, she loses her job and her great aunt leaves her and her mum a ramshackle farm in her will to them. Where will the fates take them next! This is the first in the Seabreeze series and can’t wait for more! This book does what it says on the cover and more, your welcomed into this ramshackle farm, as a reader you instantly fall in love with the farm, the characters and the farm animals which all have a personality of their own! I find Jo Bartlett’s books so unassuming, yet pleasantly surprising, with a community of characters that pull you in to their store and their lives. I loved everything about this book, the setting and it’s beauty jumped of the pages, I love seeing Ellie’s belief in herself grow, her determination growing despite some things getting in the way. Most of all I love this idea of second chance, fate playing a hand and things that are obviously meant to be no matter how long it takes to get there. I’ve read the authors other series The Cornish Midwife and I can’t recommend them enough, if you enjoyed those you won’t be disappointed with this book and if you’ve never read anything by this author, don’t pass the unassuming series by, it’s a really good read and as always I can’t wait to see what the author comes up with next. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Such a lovely feel good story. Even though it's a fictional story I was rooting for our main character. She is a bit down on her luck with more troubles than she can shake a stick at.
Then she realizes she has inherited a farmhouse with such a picturesque view. Now never mind that it is dilapidated and ruled by quite the rascally and stubborn donkey. Despite all the negatives she keeps plugging away and we see she makes it work. The author writes with such enthusiasm . The story was fun and so heartwarming to read.

This book was amazing and just what I needed. This brilliant life changing story made me feel so happy and that if this character could change her life for the better so could it. It was truly inspirational. Yes she is a fictional character but every has aspects of there life they wish they could change for the better and it inspired me to stop putting them off and do something about them. This book was one of them boy meets girl and they fall in love. But it was more than that. It was so heartwarming and felt special to me . The author wrote it with such beauty that made me feel so many emotions. I adored every second of this book. I connected with the characters so easy to love and relate to. It was such a believable story. I would definitely recommend this book to all romance fans. Also for those like me who have been reading some very heavy books recently or for those suffering from genre burnout. It really made me so positive and excited to read more books all over again. It kicked started me, reminded me of my love of books. So if your stuck in rut pick up this book and enough the ride . I will definitely be reading more books from this amazing author again.

So much praise goes out to the author and publishers for creating this truly magical and inspirational story to put a smile on our faces, and return love to our hearts.

Ellie thinks she has her life in London till one day she realises she wants something completely different to London.

Ellie and her mum discover that she's inherited aunt Hillary's farm. A place of special memories where they continue to build new ones.

A real sense of family and community in the book.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC of this book. I have chosen to write this honest review voluntarily.
This is the second book by this author that I have read, and it falls into the same genre of a gentle, easy romantic read. Realism is not an important part of this type of story (no mention of getting environmental health approval for producing cakes for public consumption) and circumstances are contrived to fulfil requirements (Ben has seen Rupert's car but fails to recognise it later in the book, Ellie falls into the trap of not being open an honest time and again) but this does not mar the general 'feelgood' essence of the tale. The animals provide some comic moments, and basing the story around the sanctuary was unusual and interesting. Readers who enjoy a clean romance will undoubtedly like this novel.

How many of us have been a relationship like Ellie's? Her relationship with Rupert was not healthy or even loving. She felt stuck and so alone. She was emotionally abused.

Ellie was given an opportunity to make a major change in her life. With her mother's support, Ellie moved to Seabreeze Farm. She had no idea what she was doing and how she was going to do it. But this was her one chance to discover who she really was and what she want from life.

I loved the story and seeing Ellie bloom in her new life. She didn't allow the past to mess up her future. Well, she tried not to.

I received this book from Boldwood Books to review.

What do you do when your life takes a turn for the worst? Well, you pack up and move of course. Ellie Chapman does just that to the farmhouse she and her mother inherit. Upon arrival Seabreeze Farms appears that she may have jump from the frying pan into the fire. Slowly she and her mother bring Seabreeze back to its former self with the help or not from a very naughty donkey and all of the other inhabitants. With the redemption of the farm, Ellie may just find hers as well. I look forward to the next in the series. Thank you to Netgalley for an advanced copy. A review was not required.

I really enjoyed this lovely, lighthearted read. Sea breeze farm and it’s eccentric mix of characters- both human and animal! - were just perfection. The story had everything needed for the perfect romance, for me personally though something was missing between Ben and Ellie. I can’t even put my finger on what the missing aspect was, I just didn’t feel that much of a spark between them as characters that were supposed to have fallen madly in love. I did enjoy the book though and I will read the rest of the series to see what happens next.

A great new book written by the author of the thoroughly enjoyable Cornish Midwife series.
I usually like Jo Bartley’s style of writing, always relaxed & easy to get into. However, I did find that some of this story felt like it was on fast forward and the timeline seemed to be a bit confused at times: it felt like something was mentioned that was going to happen weeks in advance and then all of a sudden in the next chapter, or pages, it had happened & I felt like I had missed something. However, on the whole, this is a lovely book to read with believable, fully-formed characters and I enjoyed exploring the setting of Seabreeze Farm with them. I hope it will become a series to introduce us to more characters & stories in such a lovely setting.

This was such a lovely book to start a new series, the characters were great except for Rupert whom I disliked immensely. I loved the descriptions of the sanctuary and all the funny animals and those delicious cakes. I would love to read the next one is this series as I’m desperate to find out what happens next. My thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.
