An entertaining piece of women's fiction with authentic and relateable characters that had me hooked from start to finish.

Good. Full of family drama and romance. Shows the many aspects to how to make not just romantic relationships work but family relationships. Nice twist at the end which I didn't see coming.

Another enjoyable read from Tracy Bloom- I didn’t like it as much as the wife who got a life but I thought that one was exceptional. A nice easy read that moves along nicely- recommended.

It's Shelley's hen do in Spain with a mix of old and young hens and plenty of unexpected problems including the suspension her fiancé isn't telling the truth about his stag do
Fast forward 2o years and it's finally the wedding but will it happen and who is the groom ?
A fun read

A quick and easy read that I found myself picking up after a long day to unwind. The characters are beautifully written and I came to love them within the first few pages and was rooting for them all the way to the end. At times I wanted to stop reading because I just wanted the experience to go on for longer.

A book that showcases strong female characters. Family and friendships are strong themes in this book. A lot of humour and being able to relate to attending a never ending stream of weddings. An enjoyable read.

What a laugh, how not to spend a hens weekend. Laugh from start to the end. Well worth a good read and 5 stars.

A light-hearted read. I enjoyed it on the whole. There were some long winded sections during the hen weekend, which I skim read, but the story held my attention for the most part. I really liked Shelley and wanted to know what happened to her. Did she get married? Who did she marry? I liked the way all the female characters evolved. I kind of guessed the ending, but wanted to read to the end anyway to check. I also liked that there were older characters in this book, and it wasn't another 20 something love story. With thanks to NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Shelley goes on an ill-fated hen weekend to Spain. Joined my her miserable mother, uptight sister with teenage daughter, best friend and her outrageous Aunt.
Her intended is in the same resort and intends to join them for a meal one night.. A series of unintended things happen.
At the end of the weekend she must decide if the wedding will go ahead or not. What does she decide?

Thanks to netgalley for the chance to read this book.

Another great book from Tracy.

Shelley is finally getting married after taking 20 years to make her mind up after meeting her fiancé at someone else’s wedding at the age of 38.

The first park of the book is set 20 years ago in Majorca where she celebrated her hen do. The second part is set at her wedding that takes place in the present day.

A brilliant read of friendship, love and laughter.

A laugh out loud fun read that unexpectedly leaves you with a lump in the throat.
This was a very quick read for me but very enjoyable. I loved the group of ladies that make up the main characters - all on Shelley's hen do back in the 90's so a bit of nostalgia going on as well.
I did guess what was going to happen mid way through but that didn't spoil the enjoyment whatsoever for me.
I thought it was really well put together and the ending was spot on.
Great fun!

A funny light hearted read based around Shelley’s hen party from 20 years previously and her now imminent wedding!
Shelley hasn’t been the most fortunate in love to date, so seizes the opportunity to marry a good looking rich suitor before she gets left on the shelf!
The hen weekend comprises an eclectic mix of Shelley her best friend, mother, cousin and cousins teenage daughter!such a multigenerational gathering! A real mix of characters and personalities based at her Aunts villa in Spain ! The hen weekend doesn’t exactly follow traditional themes especially when there is suspicion that her fiancée may be cheating on her, so the hen party decide to take matters into their own hands and investigate, with varying success and many consequences!
Shelley has something difficult decisions to make re her fiancée but ably helped by her friends and family, all who have issues of their own especially Nancy who has been carrying a secret!
A good holiday read!
Thank you netgalley for this early read!

An unusual twist on a wedding story given the bride has been waiting more than 20 years, having been supposed to get married in 1999! What ensues is funny and entertaining and the book is ideal as a light summer read.

A lovely warm, light, funny read - just perfect for the beach. I like the dual timelines and the eccentric mix of characters that worked so well together. Lessons about choosing what makes you happy, being honest about your thoughts and feelings and ultimately about true and not having to compromise!

This was a great page turner which flowed beautifully and an easy read. I loved all the characters who were so different from each other in both character and ages. It was so much fun I really wished I could have joined in. Funny but also serious at times which made for a really good read.

It's a light summer read that started and ended good but the middle felt a bit "off". I didn't warm up to the main character and I expected to laugh more. I did guess the twist and liked the ending, so I'm glad I didn't give up.

This was an enjoyable read from Tracy Bloom, perfect summer beach fodder. It tells the tale of an Ill fated family hen party with plenty of mishaps, misunderstandings and mischief as the party members learn more about themselves and each other.

There were times when the central character annoyed me, there are definitely things I wouldn’t have let go that she seemed to accept! But overall it’s a light hearted fun read.

Wjat an absolute joy of a read...warm, funny with lovable relatable characters with all the usual ups and downs family can bring.

Shelley is about to get married, 20 years after she cancelled her wedding during her hen do weekend.

Most of this story focuses around the weekend. Shelley, her mother, best friend and cousins join her aunt in Spain for what is promised to be a fun weekend. However things take a different turn when Shelley has to question whether her fiancee is actually cheating on her. He is also on the island and the girls go undercover to try amd see what he is up to.

Alongside this fantastic storyline is the telling of how these 6 womens lives intertwine, and how they appear in life is often affected by misunderstandings and hiding of the truth.

A lovely warm ending....a real feel good boom. Highly recommend.
