It is sooo well written, completely gripping so make sure you set aside many hours so that you can greedily devour it in one swoop. With an eye for precise detail balanced by a sweeping imagination, this beautifully constructed book is built on deep foundations

This book! This book is wonderful. I completely found myself relating to this book at multiple points throughout this book. It is hilarious and cringy and so well written. Gosh I loved it.

Wittily Deft…
A hen weekend, a bride to be and her nearest and dearest. What could possibly go wrong? Well, when the bickering begins at the airport it’s soon clear that this weekend will be anything but plain sailing. Shelley can cope with that - but when a text threatens to derail everything she’s planned that’s another matter entirely. Relayed effectively through a dual timeline the reader learns of Shelley’s past and what exactly went wrong the first time around. A fun filled yet keenly observed romp with larger than life characters and written with a wittily deft pen.

I always enjoy this author’s books and this one didn’t disappoint.
A fun filled hen weekend is on the cards for Shelley. With family and friends along for the ride, she is about to have the time of her life. Now 20 years later, she is finally about to get married. So what happened all those years ago to derail her original plans?
A fun filled story with a great cast of characters which made for an easy and enjoyable read.

Had me hooked after the first few chapters, lots of ups and downs, lots of relatable characters some you would want to know some you wouldn't. Easy summer read that was enjoyable. Thank you netgalley for the advanced copy

Shelly's about to get married and is reminiscing on 20years earlier, from when she first met her husband to be. From present day, looking back to stages further on in their relationship to the hen weekend.....
Told mainly from Shelly's perspective, through the ups and downs of the hen weekend, underlying family tensions bubbling at the surface from present day, to years before. Filled with humour and life's challenges, great summer read. This is the second book from this author I have read and look forward to reading more.

Such a lovely book.
I loved how it was written in the past and present tense. It had me hooked upto the end such a great concept for a book. It was great to have such great female roles in the book. This book was ultimately about strength, family and female friendships.
Shelly is fed up of going to weddings. She attends and isn’t even given the luxury of bringing a plus one. She reluctantly attends the wedding of her teaching assistant.
She’s lumped on a table with Colin and they spar and hot it off. He’s the first man she is just herself and has no airs and graces around.
Her hen weekend is arranged in Spain and Colin and his family agree to meet her family and her to know each other.
Foam parties, spice girl karaoke and a mobility scooter ensure a riotous weekend is had.
This was a funny book.
Thankyou netgalley for this arc in exchange for an honest review.

I love the humour that this author injects throughout her books and that they cover real topics that affect real people and are done so with entertainment but also
Empathy for the characters. I was hooked into this from the very first page and loved how the book was split
Into two parts the hen weekend from 20 years ago and the wedding which is about to take place in the present.
This was a fun and entertaining read which also explored the importance of friendships and family and of trying to reconcile the past to move forwards into the future and how sometimes it helps to just talk things through with each other as you don’t always know what the other person is feeling or going through.

On Shelleys wedding day she spends time reminiscing on her hen weekend 20 years ago. She was hoping to spend the weekend in Spain with her closest friends instead she spent it with her mother, aunt, cousin, a rebellious teenager and a best friend whose close to a breakdown. When inevitable arguments ensue and an unwanted text is sent to her regarding her fiance she has big decisions to make. Will she make the right one?
This was very entertaining as are all of Tracy blooms books. Poor Shelley having to spend her hen weekend with the people she least wants to. But it makes it a very fun read. It also shows how each character changes and grows and becomes a better person. I'm so glad Shelley ended up marrying who she did. This kept me turning the pages and I didn't want it to end. I adore all of Tracy blooms work and I highly recommend.

Initially I wasn’t sure about this book, I was really excited to read it however, the first few chapters were a bit dull and jumped between two timelines. Once we reached the chapter when the girls were off to Spain, that’s when the book turned a corner and I was hooked! A really funny laugh out loud book about your not so average hen weekend. Well worth a read!

It’s a Tracy Bloom novel… sweet, easy to read, not mind bendingly difficult to fathom out the plot, full of characters you can relate to (some you are grateful to not know!) and always a happy ending.
A great holiday read, I felt I should be on a sunbed somewhere hot instead of chilly England! Summertime Chic-lit at its best.
Thank you Netgalley the publishers and the author for an ARC in exchange for an honest review

I adore all of Tracy's books they bring so much fun and joy.
This follows Shelly the bride to be.
Full of laugh out loud moments we can all relate to.
I really enjoyed reading this and making me smile and laugh.

Another great read from Bella. As always I’m frustrated at there only being part one and I’m going to have to wait for the next instalment. I chuckled at the bridesmaids dresses as well as the future brides to be in the shop. I do hope it won’t be too long before the next instalment is on Netgalley. My thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.
