Loved the bookmarks and the signposting of potential triggers as well as where to access help if needed. Will definitely be using this in my book club discussions!
Will definitely use more of these kits in the future!
I can't wait to get into all the questions. I also adore the bookmarks and recipe. These book kits are a great way formyfriends and I to get together for a fun read and in depth discussion.
It is really nice to get to know the author and reading her answers to the questions about the book.
Thank you for the questions for the discussions, I'm gonna use them on my book club when we read this!
My favourite part about this book club kits are the recomendations and I'm super excited about the books by indigenous authors!
This is a REVIEW ONLY of The BOOK CLUB KIT for “Firekeeper’s Daughter,” a young adult murder mystery thriller fiction by Angeline Boulley about a teenage American Indian girl with a sick mother, a crush on a new boy and the FBI swarming about investing illicit drugs and suspicious deaths. This fabulously created colorful 15-page e-book Kit—with a dramatically beautiful cover of two faces created in the firey wings of a giant butterfly—is loaded with everything to make your Book Club meeting memorable. Featuring lots of discussion questions to stimulate insightful two-way conversations among reading groups, it’s also full of visual appeal because of the bright art and bold, eye-catching graphics. The Q & As are excellent and will be useful for Book Club Leaders, Librarians, as well as readers themselves who want extra insight into the background of the book and author. 💕 As all compelling Book Kits do by adding additional graphics and fun elements, this one truly rocks! It offers
content warnings; bookmarks to print and cut out; an author interview; discussion guide; additional suggested readings, and so much more. This is a truly exciting Book Kit worthy of it’s designation. 💕
TheBookMaven graciously thanks NetGalley, Author Angeline Boulley, and Publisher We Are Bookish for this Advanced Reader’s Copy (ARC) for review.
I downloaded the book club kit out of curiosity. I was pleasantly surprised. I feel this kit is not only good for a book club, but for an individual reader as well, It causes one to think about the book and gives the reader some things to think about. Reviewing the kit has prompted me to add this book to my TBR list.
This Author's writing is truly beautiful, You can feel through her writing how proud she is of her culture which I feel really brings this story to life.

[NetGalley URL] This is a perfect guide to accompany a book club while reading this book.
Thank you to Net Galley and the publisher for an ARC of this kit.
This is an absolutely amazing kit. Our school is situated on the land of the Anishinaabe. This kit will help with discussions about this book in class and as a small group. I loved the addition of the bookmarks and the author's note written in a combination of English and her native language. It is important to learn about our history and the stories that come from the indigenous people that have lived on the land before us. I will absolutely be using this and sharing it with some of my co-workers.
Looks like a good kit to get starter for this wonderful read.
I liked that the kit gave great examples and ideas on how to use the book.
I look forward to use it for my next book club meeting!
This is a great book club kit for this book. It was full of useful information and even though I've never belonged to a book club, it is definitely something I would find very helpful to keep it exciting and interesting. This is also a book by a local author so I was very glad to see her getting recognition for her work.
Thank you NetGalley and We Are Bookish!
We Are Bookish creates the best book club kits -- from the letters from the authors, author interviews, questions and topics, and bookmarks! What I love the most is the personal touch of what to read next, Indigenous resources, and resources for Indigenous communities. Overall, a must for those who loved Firekeeper's Daughter!
This is a great resource for book clubs. I can't wait to use this with my book club next month. As a Michigander its important to hear stories that take place here. It's going to be great to learn about the Ojibwe community and how they are represented on Sugar Island.
Again another cute little kit, absolutely love how these are lay out and the fact that they open up a good discussion. I love the firekeepers daughter. It is really nice to get more insight from the author. Thank you Netgalley
This kit would be perfect for any bookclub.
It has an introduction to the book including trigger warnings, a letter from the author, and questions to the author. There are of course questions for the bookclub to discuss, but it includes recommendations for future bookclub reads as well.
Additionally there are additional resources as well as resources to support indigenous communities.
Live how this kit is set out. The book marks are really pretty.
Overall a good kit to be used for book club
We love the Firekeeper's Daughter, so this review kit is perfect!! Everything included is perfect. The colors are bright and vivid and such a perfect match for the book!
The suggested titles are very much appreciated, as are the resources, trigger warnings and hotlines.
Thank you for this resource!
This book kit is a great resource for librarians/teachers looking to host a book club or book tasting. This book carries such a powerful message and the author interview helps deepen the understanding of the importance of this book that can be found in the pages. The discussion questions are thought provoking, the books to read next list is perfect to provide to students to keep them engaged in their reading journey, and the list of support for Indigenous communities is a great tool for students who want to be involved.
This is a very good book club resource. The information and questions will greatly help me lead a discussion with it for next year with my book club.
I will be using this book club kit for my book club later this year. It is so nice that I already have the discussion questions ready to go and I don't have to go looking for them later on. Thank you! I recommend this kit!
This book club kit has everything I could want to present to my patrons. It goes far beyond discussion questions. I am so excited to share this guide with them and wish I had one of these kits for every book club pick.
