I can already see from this small excerpt why this was. a runaway hit and it's bumped straight up my to buy list now!! Can't wait to read and find out more!!!

This preview gripped me enough to add it to my ever-growing tbr pile - but not one to get to immediately. If I feel the need for some smooth-brain action thriller read, I'll reach for this. I was gripped in the first couple of chapters and looking forward to reading more.

I have this thriller on my TBR for a long time now and when I saw ‘Read Now’ I immediately downloaded it without noticing that it was only the first chapter. So that was a bummer but it’s also definitely on me. Anyway, I’ve rarely read a first chapter so action packed. I liked it and I want to know more. And that’s the purpose of a preview, isn’t it? To leave readers longing for more.

An opening taster chapter or two of Falling left me feeling it was a little too wham-bam for my liking.
I’d bet my next in-flight drink that TJ Newman (author) is a man, and thus it would appeal to the high-octane, slightly-unbelievable action thriller type of reader. But not for me. Too much, too fast, too bloody, and I lost interest quite quickly. I preferred the pace and style of The Hostage by Claire Mackintosh which follows the same theme of the “save your family or crash the plane” dilemma. Still thrilling but not “trying too hard”.
Sorry, but not my thing….
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the chance to read the opening part.

Great taster into this thriller. I could tell from what I read that this book is a must buy on my list of books to read in 2022.

An exciting and gripping debut thriller. Captain Bill Hoffman is flying a plane with 143 passengers aboard from L.A. to New York. But his family are being held hostage by a gunman who will kill them unless he crashes the plane. Full of suspenseful twists and turbulence that will send you into a tailspin.

Judging by some of the reviews on here, I think they were clearly reading a different book than I was!
Admittedly, for the first 100 or so pages, as much as I enjoyed it, it wasn't amazing for me but then all of a sudden *BOOM* I literally could not put it down.
It made me feel so many different emotions during this book - I even had tears at one point, and more than once I had goosebumps which I don't ever remember a book making me have them before.
This built and built to the point where my hubby has ended up having 4 solid hours on the ps4 because I literally needed to finish the book tonight!
Without a doubt I would recommend this book - it's been a very long time since I have read a book, where the world was shut off and all that mattered was my book ❤️

Probably the best prologue to a book I've ever read, even though I now never want to get on a plane again (and I work in the travel industry!)
Now absolutely desperate to read the rest of the book!

Okay, I challenge anyone no to read the first line of “Falling” and not be immediately hooked by the book. It’s so good, I read that first line twice.
I loved the writing style which captured the sense of tension and menace perfectly.
I finished the excerpt you gave us and was left with only one thought - how soon can I read the rest of this book?!?

Wow. What a brilliant opening chapter and definitely my kind of novel. Can't wait for the full book now!
