SUPER CUTE! I can't wait to read this to my future daughter or son. I love the different art styles and multiculturalism of this little gem. This was written in a way that is very accessible for children, but leaves room for talking about these people with your little ones. I would definitely recommend this to parents of young children and I hope this turns into a series for older kids too.
We have the original version this book is based on. This book would have been perfect for babies where it is short and colourful to stimulate their audiovisual senses. The information provided by publisher stated that it is going to be a board book, which is perfect for those little hands and teething tendency of the babies. Perfect book for parents to read to their newborn, for babies to hold, turn the pages, for toddler to look at on their own and perhaps to read to their younger siblings too.
Many thanks to Rebel Girls and NetGalley for this advance review copy. I already know who I will be getting this for when it is published.
Cute board book of some of the famous and not so famous women that have appeared in Rebel Girls books. We get women who are well known, such as Amelia Earhart, and well as less known such as Sylvia Earle, who studied ocean ecology. We get Joan Jett, and Maria Sibylla Merian who discovered the caterpillars became butterflies.
It is a great starting point for kids, and the illustrations are bright and colorful.
Thanks to Netgalley for making this book available for an honest review.
An attractive book featuring snapshots of trailblazing women in all fields across history -- from Cleopatra to Simone Biles. The colourful illustrations and descriptions are just the right length for young female minds to be exposed to an array of female pioneers and be inspired by them!
I was thrilled to see a board book adaptation of one of our favorites in our household. This was the perfect read for Women’s History Month! The artwork is beautiful and interesting, perfect for engaging a little one. I really appreciated the range of women represented, all with diverse and varied careers and accomplishments. This will easily become a go to gift for any family with readers under 3.
I wish the Rebel Girls series was around when I was growing up - but I'm glad it exists today. Not only are the pages filled with beautiful and bright images, but the stories are so impactful and diverse making them amazing stories to read at any age.
I think this book is a great and short intro into the Rebel Girls series. I love that there's so many women incorporated but the book is still short. I think it would be really neat to have QR codes or something else throughout the pages so people could read more about each person in the book - because truthfully one sentence just doesn't do them justice. Especially considering it will most likely be a parent reading these to a child, there are a lot of women in the book that I wasn't familiar with and would love to be able to read more about.
A great board book for little girls (and boys!) that gives digestible bits of information about great women like RBG, Malala, Jane Austen, and Rosa Parks, among many others. I would definitely buy it for my own daughter.
Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for the eARC in exchange for my review.
Thank you Rebel Girls for a pre-approved copy of Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls: Baby's First Book of Extraordinary Women. As a fan of the rebel girls series, I won't miss the opportunity to read this book.
This is a perfect book for parents to introduce to their babies about fantastic women in history. The illustration caught my eye. Full of colours and beautiful come together with a short description that is suitable for young readers. But be prepared that you might need to answer questions from your child.
And remember, whether you sail or sing, plant seeds or pass laws, always be uniquely you such a strong sentence to ending the book.

Baby might be pushing it, but a fab collection of strong women who all have helped change our world. A real diverse group of women from all fields and epochs - Jane Austen rubs shoulders with Simone Biles and Helen Keller. An excellent book for 3+ year olds.
Thank you to NetGalley and Rebel Girls for the opportunity to read and review an e-ARC of this book. This has been my favorite Rebel Girls compilation so far, from the variety of women featured to the short and yet thrilling autobiographical lines of each figure featured. It's no easy feat showcasing the marvel of these inspiring women in just a few lines, but this one does it incredibly well - of course, it's a primer for hopefully a lifetime of little ones inquiring about the extraordinary women throughout history and today. My impression is that the short board book captures the thrill of each person profiled and will inspire further curiosity.
I love the illustrations Inthis book. The colours are eye catching and vibrant drawing the eye in - it'll be perfect for younger children to keep them interested. I can this being a form favourite with the beautiful illustrations and the short snappy text. I like how the statements sum up the people well giving vital information.
I know this will be loved by even my older children (age 5+) and will encourage them to find out more about those people who they find most interesting and resonate with.
This is a beautifully bright and colourful book, making it ideal for little ones.
Each page showcases a different amazing woman and briefly explains what she is best known for in just a couple of sentences. The pictures are such vivid colours and there is just enough information to keep childrens' interest with the chance for them to find out more should they wish to.
This is a lovely, empowering book for young children and I can see it being given as a gift to new babies. A great introduction to bedtime stories.
My thanks to NetGalley and the Publishers for sending me an ARC in return for an honest review.

Thank you Netgalley and Rebel Girls for an advanced copy of this book in exchange of my honest opinion.
When I saw this one pop up as another installment in this series of books, I thought it was a great idea for even younger readers. The snippets about each individual is short, easy to understand in most cases and digestible for a much younger reader. The colors and artwork are vibrant and will easily draw the attention of their intended audience. I think for even younger readers this is a great introduction to the entire Rebel Girls series and may pique their interest to check out other installments as they get older, or learn specifically about some of the individuals in the book.
