A quickly-read book that seems unusual, almost to the point of being a really out-there, peculiar choice. There's little narrative, instead the text is just sparse, separated rhyming couplets, all about "Designer Pip" (an eager little dog) taking all the fabrics he can steal from elsewhere and what item of clothing he can make himself out of them. Great quality in the artwork kind of makes the thieving blinder appealing enough to get away with it, but it is an oddball thing to make a book out of.

This book was just for fun. Loved the colourful illustrations and the rhymes. This made me laugh also because the dog was stealing anything he thought was interesting to make clothes.

This book is us following pip’s fashion journey daily. While every part of his life inspires creativity and design! It’s a cute book but I did wish the background had more color.

This is a short picture book about a dog. The pages include rhymes and interesting images of the dog doing unusual things such as dancing. The story is easy to follow and would likely be quite easy for children to follow. I think this book would fit well in a K-2 classroom or for families of children in this age range. I appreciate the opportunity from Netgalley and the publisher to read and review an advance copy of this book!

This is the first book in the Pip series. Though I found it very clever as to where Pip found items to make clothes for himself I missed something on the ending. As usual the illustrations by Gabhor Utomo are very good, detailed and relate to the story. Tabatha Taylor is very good at rhyming throughout. The Pip series is well done with Pip the dog and his friend Mango the parrot and their adventures. These books are for 4-7 year olds.

This title will be enjoyed by children and by adults who enjoy children’s picture books.

The Pip series is just so cute~I previously reviewed Dancer Pip. Now Pip is trying something else and is a designer. What a talented pup!

Once again the illustrations are just wonderful, very bright, whimsical and engaging. Watch as Pip takes things that he sees and transforms them. He is quite talented!

Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher. All opinions are my own.

This book is so cute!! I love this dog!! Especially when he sees something he likes and takes it just to make some kind of clothing from it. He designed clothes from everything. From straw to plastic bags. How can he wear a jacket made from a plastic bag without ripping it?? So cute!!

I received a free copy of the book and is voluntarily writing a review

Obviously, Pip is a dog. He has a friend, a parrot named Mango. Pip seems to find items here and there which he brings home to design and fashion into articles of clothing. These appear to be mostly for his own use but he does make something for Mango too.

There does not seem to be much plot for this children's book. Not sure if one is to just take it at face value but when I scratched my head a bit I could eek out that this could be teaching reuse and recycle sort of things. I found it strange that Pip would go to church and take a book which was obviously not a littered item; seems more like the book became a stolen item. Additionally, I was very puzzled as to why a dog would go to a mosque. This would generally be considered offensive to those of that faith. This is just my perspective from what I know; therefore, a word of caution to those who would not care to have their children come across this type of scenario.

These delightful and gloriously colourful illustrations are what marks out this children’s book as a pure joy to share with your young ones (6-11 years).

The story is about a loveable Jack Russell, Pip and his friend a parrot called Mango.

Perhaps an unusual name but fortuitous as it rhymes with tango. Not that the poetic lines which drive the story demand phonic rhyming couplets, but I liked this aspect of the story telling. A great talking point and learning tool for youngsters.

Designer Pip is a resourceful dog who has an eye for colour and fashion. He is able to take the simple and everyday and turn them into bespoke items.

Full of colour and packed with fun, I can see why these stories are considered children’s classics.
