When Betty meets Guy they have an instant connection, however, Guy is getting married and Betty is leaving for the trip of a lifetime.
It seems like fate has other plans that day, something awful happens to Betty and she finds herself on her back at her family home in Wales.
She thought she would never see Guy again but a few months later she finds something that she needs to return to him, so writing him a letter she posts it off and here a friendship develops.
Guy has also faced devastation and Betty‘s letter feels like the first piece of happiness in his life quite some time.
This was lovely heartfelt story.

If you love a bit of mush like me you will love this book!
I totally fell in love with Guy and Betty!
I kind of predicted the ending, however that made me want to read more! I hope this is part of a sequel!

An accident for Betty and a disappointing start to Guy's marriage means they start to correspond and connect. A sweet romance. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for letting me review this book.
The characters here I couldn't help but love.
First off, Thank you so much for letting me review this wonderful book! I absolutely adored this book! I enjoyed the characters and the story! The story flowed great and had me reading and finishing the book in no time!
I received an ARC of, Love Betty, by Laura Kemp. This was an ok book. I found guy to be a little depressing, I did not like Charlie, and Betty was nice.
‘Love, Betty’ is a gorgeous story about love, forgiveness and healing. Laura Kemp’s signature warmth shines through to create a book that is like a big, warm cwtch. If you enjoy emotional romance stories that tug at your heartstrings and feature characters you’d love to have as best friends, then grab your copy of ‘Love, Betty’ and start reading! 5 stars!
4* A fun easy read
Thank you Orion Publishers and NetGalley for the ARC, this review is my personal, unbiased opinion.
Betty and Guy have the briefest of meetings, more or less, hello and goodbye. A few months later Betty returns an item belonging to Guy and they begin to correspondence. Never expecting to actually meet, Guy lives in Tunbridge Wells and Betty has returned to Wales, they both portray themselves as what they want to be, not what they really are. The friendship develops until they finally meet and soon realise their lies will prevent any possibility of romance.
An entertaining read but I'm deducting one point because while Guy lied by omission, Betty's lies were massive whoppers.
I would like to thank the author, the publisher and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read an ARC of this book. I loved it, from the first page you are drawn to the characters and the wonderful story kept you reading, I will be recommending this to everyone I know.
This was a really uplifting book with many heartfelt and thoughtful moments as both main characters, Betty and Guy, have had their lives and expectations of their futures turned upside down. They only met briefly but months later Betty finds a handkerchief of Guy’s that he’d lent her and decides to return it, their memories of who they were when they first met help both of them start the healing process as they keep in contact yet neither is able to be honest about their new realities. Both are great characters and have some strong characters around them too, the storyline is gentle yet powerful and paced really well. Overall this is a warm, cheerful read but with a lot of poignancy too.
I literally adored this book so much. It is heartwarming, sad, charmingz beautiful, romantic, funny, and adorable. I loved it.
