This is a nice set of math practice tests. Each set is 60 questions designed to be completed in 60 minutes. The end explains how they got the answers somewhat. On my kindle app the test was very hard to read. I don’t know if I’d recommend a digital version because of this. I was unable to really test the test because of this so I won’t be publicly reviewing it.
This is a great guide for both students and educators. I love all of the practice exams. I will definitely be adopting some of these into my curriculum. I got the e Version of this book on NetGalley in exchange for a review.
The college application process can just be so stressful. If seems unfair for kids’ fates and egos to be so caught up in this labyrinthine process.
Some teens are able to take the college admission tests without panic. Others need practice. Those who do will find this book of eight complete practice tests (and answers) to be a good resource. It is a book that has no frills but does just what it promises.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Vibrant Publishing for this title. All opinions are my own.
Detailed and clear - important to me is not just that the book explains which answer is correct but how and why it is correct. Practice tests are a useful tool in wider study, but I appreciated that the book included advice not just on the answers, but on actually taking the test too - with tips about time-management etc.
I am so grateful that I had decided I didn't want to go to college when my turn for the ACTs rolled around. I never would have passed the test if this book is any indication of what I would have faced. I tried several of the problems (and got them right), but if I were studying for real, I would have really appreciated the answer section in the back that not only gives you the answers, but explains them. I don't know for sure, but it's hard to believe that any university would find anything lacking in these practice tests. I'm just grateful I ended up in a university that didn't demand an ACT or an SAT.
