Oh my god! This was such a lovely book, I did shed a few tears at the end! A gorgeous story of social difference, isolation and yet hope, family ties and enduring love. Thank you so much for the reading copy, I adored it.

In A Thousand Different Ways was an emotional read. What I love most about Cecelia Ahern's books is that each storyline is so unique. They are thought provoking stories which stay with you for a long time after you have finished reading them. As usual I was drawn in straight away and remained captivated by Alice's story until the very end. In the past I have described Cecelia Ahern's books as quirky but I would now say her ideas are unparalleled. It is just great to pick up a book knowing you are about to read something a little bit different. My favourites would be The Gift and the young adult series Flawed and Perfect.

This beautiful book was so breathtakingly powerful to read. It has such a novel storyline and is unlike anything I've ever read before. It is a captivating and emotional read that will stay in your mind and your heart long after you've finished that last page.

This is an unusual story. It is very well written. The character development is excellent. I found the middle section of the book was a bit repetitive

A novel about a girl living her life and the auras she feels emitting off those around her.It was a nice read but not my favourite Cecelia read.

Not my usual read but I am open to reading novels about life and death and the paths we take. Alice is an 8 year old girl who realises she can see people as colours. In her younger years this causes her life to become turmoil at home and school. As Alice navigates life she learns how the colours can help her in work and relationships. And then she meets Andy who has no colours and the next chapter of her life begins. This novel will stay with me forever, it’s made me laugh and cry in parts but more importantly it’s taught me to look for the good in people and enjoy the life you’ve been given

I have loved every Cecelia Ahern book I’ve ever read starting with P.S I Love You. This for me was no different.
We first meet Alice as a child. On the the outside she seems the same as you and me. She lives with her mum and first realises at age 8 that she can see things in colour. Not things as much as feelings. Upon her return from school one day there is blue coming from Alice’s mums room. She thinks the worst and thinks she is dead. She then realises that all the feelings that people are feeling have colour. Blue for upset/depression and say red for anger.
Having to live with synesthesia her whole life Alice is drained. She seeks solace in a healer that can help her to block out her gift/curse. Told over the course of Alice’s life with some time jumps. I absolutely adored this book and how the author has derived this story. You won’t regret picking up a copy to try! A firm favourite for years to come.

well what a brilliant book to read and what a life alice had this illness gave sorrow and pleasure and alice had to lead a normal life as she was able there was anger sadness and happiness in this story along with a smile and tears along the way a joy to read

This was my first time reading a book from the author but I am delighted to say I thoroughly enjoyed the story and I look forward to reading more books from the writer in the future

I really enjoyed this foray into the neurodivergent world of Alice. It is humorous, but explores humanity and human nature well and was very easy to read.

A lovely, at times dark, read with fascinating characters. The idea of seeing the emotions of people in colours is fresh and made for a good, solid read. The title though felt not quite strong enough to grab one's attention, if not a fan of Cecilia Ahern's books, and give a good idea of the book. Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the ARC.

I love being given the opportunity to update our school library which is a unique space for both senior students and staff to access high quality literature. This is definitely a must-buy. It kept me absolutely gripped from cover to cover and is exactly the kind of read that just flies off the shelves. It has exactly the right combination of credible characters and a compelling plot thatI just could not put down. This is a great read that I couldn't stop thinking about and it made for a hugely satisfying read. I'm definitely going to order a copy and think it will immediately become a popular addition to our fiction shelves. 10/10 would absolutely recommend.

What an extraordinary novel #InAThousandDifferentWays is. A total page turner, utterly compelling, thoughtful, moving, fascinating, emotional and challenging. Absolutely loved it. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I couldn't get into this book, not a fan of stories which jump back and forth. Sorry, not for me but could feel Alice's differences and also empathise a little.
Many thanx to NetGalley, the author and publishers for allowing me to read and review this book.

Really enjoyed this - will definitely be recommending and looking forward to the next one by this author!

This book got lost on my list & I had forgotten all about it. I'm really glad I finally got around to reading it. Alice does not have a very happy childhood. Her father up & left them, her mother is deeply depressed which seems to affect Ollie the youngest of the family. Her older brother Hugh cares deeply for her but manages to rise above the atmosphere at home. When Alice is eight she suddenly starts to see colours around people- in a panic she calls an ambulance for her mother. With the colours come the headaches & Alice cuts herself off from everyone she can.
The story tells of how synaesthesia makes Alice the woman she is , with flashbacks to her youth we follow her life. This was an unusual book but it completely drew me in. I felt the ending was a bit rushed but all in all it is a book I won't forget in a hurry!
Thanks to Netgalley & the publisher for letting me read & review this thought provoking book.

This book was beautifully written even if it wasn't always happy. I find books with synesthesia really interesting and seeing this story following from childhood to adulthood was great.
I loved the exploration of the characters and how they changed over the course of the story. I always love Cecelia Ahern's writing and this was no different.

I really enjoyed this book, Cecelia Sheen is a fantastic author and I have enjoyed all her books. I felt this one more interesting than her others but seemed slightly more difficult to get into to begin with, but once you get past some of restart it has you completely hooked. I recommend this for any loved of her books, and even a newcomer this is definitely a book you will enjoy/

I have read Cecelia Aherns books before and have always enjoyed them, this is one of her bests! When Alice is 8 she begins to see everyone ls colours. can see everyone's colours the red, the greys, the blues and the blacks. A fantastic story, one that makes you think.

In a Thousand Different Ways by Celia Ahern is a fascinating story about Alice, who sees people's emotions as coloured auras. The story begins with her early life at home with her mother and brothers Ollie and Hugh and follows how she learns to live with her gift - which at times overwhelms her.
Its both a heartbreaking and heartwarming story - a really absorbing read.
With thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
