I love this authors books and after devouring the why mummy drinks series j was looking forward to this and just like those books this one gets to the heart of real peoples lives and real peoples problems in a humorous and insightful way with lots of giggles along the way I laughed so much at a lot of the antedates that the characters in this book came out with. There was also a few emotional moments in the book as well as the witty laugh out loud moments as it also dealt with a lot of sensitive issues such as death and how having good friends around you can help you through the difficult times.

I wanted to like this because hello this title and cover are amazing. the description is fun and engaging as well. For me this book may just be over my head becasue while i relate to them in age and life i dont actually have kids and chaos and i think if you did you would relate more. I dont usually get put off by that in books wierd. For me it was a bit over the top and the book had very long run on sentences which didnt help. This is one of those i have to pickup in the future and maybe i just wasnt in the right mindset.

Very similar in tone and characterisation as the Why Mummy Drinks series, whilst still managing not to feel tired. It’s funny, relatable and an easy, uplifting, and joyful read. Highly recommend. 4 stars.

Such a brilliant book.
This book not only highlighted but resonated with me
Deeply that it’s not just me. It’s so hard to be a woman and a parent. We can’t have it all nor do I want it all.
Thank you netgalley for this arc in exchange for an honest review.
Three cheers to the sisterhood!

Gill Sims just never gets it wrong. I adored the Why Mummy series and this was just as good. A laugh out loud funny easy read.

I've long since followed Gill Sims on social media, and read all her previous books so I had very high expectations for this one!

As you would expect there is a whole host of characters who are instantly recognisable to anyone who has done the school run, I did feel as if this book was very similar to her previous novels - many of the characters had echoes of those from the 'Why mummy...' series, but with different names! That said, I found it funny and relatable and it was a comfortable easy read and I'm sure will be a hit for those heading on holiday to read by the pool.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Gill Sims didn't disappoint with her new book, oh no, it was an easy, entertaining and laugh - out - loud novel with plenty of "oh yes! That's me!" moments - just what I so love from this author and what I, actually, learnt to expect from her.

The author had dealt with sooo many emotions in her book, there was betrayal, grief, disappointment, so some of them really heavy, but the overwhelming humour and wit and the way she can cynically laugh over almost everything made the reading experience almost perfect. I actually loved the whole book, but I am still not sure about the thing she has done with Emily. Really not sure. It somehow did spoil the book for me as I'm not sure if it was necessary, to be honest.

I immediately fell in love with the characters, all of them, even the husband, especially as Claire herself started to reminisce and to think things over and well, it turned out that he was not SO bad. Of course, this what he's done was a no - go, no way, and yes, he was altogether so annoying, with his attitude and the way he had no idea about the chuldren and homework, but nevertheless, he was somehow charming, don't you think? However the female characters were absolutely winners, a brilliant group of women and it'S a pity that, actually, the Sisterhood Club members have found themselves only in the middle of the story.

Altogether, there were plenty of laughs and also some tears shed, it was sharply observed and brutally honest about motherhood and reality of being a parent, with some heart - breaking and heart - warming moments (yes, Sally!) and I loved this brilliant about friendship, new beginnings and surviving on a camping trip. Relatable, down - to - earth and sarcastic, my favourite kind of read!

Like many other readers, I'm a fan of Gill Sims! The Saturday Night Sauvignon Sisterhood is just as good as the novels from the author's "Why Mummy..." series. I absolutely adore Gill Sims's down-to-earth, humorous writing style, and I'm already looking forward to what might come next. An easy read with plenty to enjoy, I highly recommend this book.

I received a complimentary copy of this novel, at my request, from HarperCollins UK via NetGalley. This review is my own unbiased opinion.

An enjoyable and easy read from the author of the Why Mummy series. Whilst the story is one I have read many times by other writers, ie playground politics and divorced middle class mums, I liked the characters especially Sadie the dog. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the arc c.

The Saturday Night Sauvignon Sisterhood by Gill Sims ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Claire is not living her best life! She’s ‘buried under ParentPay emails and invitations to trampoline parties’ with little to no help from her useless husband, and things are about to get a lot worse before they get better.

So the characters aren’t the most diverse and the format is tried and tested, but for me this was a highly relatable and enjoyable read with lots of funny moments and a hopeful message. If you’re a fan of her Why Mummy series I would definitely urge you to give this one a go

I can't believe that this is the first of Gill Sims books I have read!!!!
I haven't laughed so much in a while.
The book follows the story of a few women who are navigating single life. They support each other through the ups and downs with some hilarious antics on the way.
A great read.

I follow Gill Sims on Facebook and Instagram so I was really keen to read this book and wasn't disappointed.

I really enjoyed the friendship between Claire and the friends she makes after discovering her husband cheating. It was heartwarming without being cheesy and I felt the characters were all believable. The book was more a wry chuckle to me rather than laugh out loud funny, but it was still very enjoyable with a few plot twists that I didn't see coming.

This book was quintessential Gill Sims.
Having read all of the ‘why mummy’ books I went into this with high expectations. What we actually got was another book in the series, the only real change was the characters. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, it was funny and very much enjoyable. It just would have been nice to have something slightly different.

I absolutely loved this. About a group of women who help each other overcome relationship difficulties. I laughed and cried.

A humorous beautifully written and moving story. Clever, thought-provoking, evocative. A touching and beautiful novel. I don’t think I’ll be able to articulate quite how good this book actually is.
I loved it and I’m disappointed to have gotten to the end. I think I might go and read it all over again!

This is the first book I’ve read by Gill Sim, it was fantastic! It’s not my usual kind of book but I’m definitely a convert.
I don’t remember when I last read a book that made me really belly laugh. It was a refreshing change of genre.
Claire and her husband Andrew live with their 2 children and just plod along with day to day family life until one day Finding Andrew has left his phone behind changes Claire’s life forever.
When Claire makes new friends after joining a book group they become The Saturday Night Sauvignon Sisterhood. Together they pick each other up with their trying new things. Which usually ends in hysterics.
I laughed so much and still chuckle when I think about Neville and his whiff of Tom Cat! Although don’t want to give any spoilers but I thought my heart was going to break as I sobbed towards the end.
An altogether hilarious laugh out loud book.
Thank you NetGalley and Harper Collins UK for an ARC of this book.

I am a massive fan of Gill Sims, so I was over the moon when I was allowed to review 'The Saturday Night Sauvignon Sisterhood'. Admittingly, despite my enthusiasm, I was a little worried that this new book and many characters wouldn't be as entertaining as the 'Why Mummy' series...but oh my, was I wrong!

This story sees Claire deal with the hardest betrayal by discovering her best friend and husband's affair, leaving her entire world shaken. However, these events lead to the creation of the sisterhood. A group of unlikely friends who offer her companionship, laughter and a kick in the right direction. Many laugh-out-loud moments and some intensely emotional scenes were entirely unexpected, especially nearer the end.

The most entertaining part of this read is when each lady has to choose an activity they've always wanted to do but hasn't yet. Some of them have some very 'different' suggestions, all of which 'The Sisterhood' embraces and provides some fantastic comical, heard to forget moments.

The characters within this book are primarily relatable, and there is someone for everyone. (They did remember me of a few in my social circle - but they will remain anonymous to protect the guilty!)

If you are looking for a good night in with a glass or two of your favourite beverage and a book that will have you crying with laughter, you need this book in your life! This would make a fantastic book club read or share amongst your friends, even if it is to try and say the title at the end of the night!

I can not recommend this enough, and congratulations to Gill Sims on another fantastic read!

I felt as if this novel is trying too hard, is that even a thing? Also, I noticed the sentences where extended by a lot and I found it to be quite annoying. I really appreciate better grammar over an average plot. This novel just wasn’t for me personally.

The Saturday Night Sauvignon Sisterhood is another novel from the brilliant Gill Sims. I've enjoyed the other 'Why Mummy...' books and this one didn't disappoint. It's full of laughs and acute observations about parenthood - like the horrors of camping trips! It's great for making you feel that it's not just you!

Brilliant for curling up with if you ever get a minute to yourself, or listening to on the school run or way to work...although you may get some odd glances when you actually laugh out loud in places!
