I got about 20% in and decided to DNF. I’m not enjoying the writing style and I’m not connecting with the characters.
I could see this appealing to younger audiences who enjoy The Chosen One or Hidden Power tropes and magical school settings.
There is potential for some good morals in the global warming storyline as well as in the magical system.

Would recommend for MG readers.

This was a quick, easy and fun read that was different from other fantasy books I have read, and I really liked it for that. I liked the writing, the storyline and the characters. Definitely worth checking out.

Clash of the Totems is a fun and entertaining use of the fantasy genre. I enjoyed the creative take, as well as the magical elements.
