The start was pretty boring, the middle had most of my attention, and then the ending brought me back to my disinterested start. I really appreciate his feelings or themes likes BLM movement reference, the antiracist challenges.
I must admit I could not get into this in terms of its poetry maybe because it is very American - there was only really one poem that resonated with me. I am sure many will enjoy this collection but it was not for me.

I believe poetry is different to each reader. And this just simply didn't work for me. I believe maybe it was no order or flow. Not exactly sure. Maybe this specific book just wasn't for me

The poems are poignant and almost metaphysical in nature, exploring lives, the connection, mental conditions during the pandemic of COVID, the poems are very relatable.
A really great collection of poetry. I love the mix of themes throughout this book, some fun some more hard hitting. My favourite poem was Flat Earth. Fantastic
"Drop of Atom" is a defiant read against the political climate of a pandemic world. Poems range on topics from coronavirus, hospitals, love, and morality. Salomone has a grasp on the themes he wants to speak on but I find his lyricism and rhyming to be a bit juvenile. I went back and forth on if I liked this collection due to the different sections of the book. The start was pretty boring, the middle had most of my attention, and then the ending brought me back to my disinterested start.
Salomone writes on the millennial experience as someone who very obviously has a more Gen X mindset, which is strange in my opinion. This is especially obvious in the last section of the book and his opinions on social media. It's not bad, just something I noticed. The books sections don't flow well together but I did like them individually. I think if they were arranged differently then there would be a better cohesive message throughout.
I think this books fluctuates in a 2.5 to 3 star range for me.
My favorite poems are: "beauty blindness", "Lost Wins", and "stop being a plastic house plant."
I really appreciate his feelings or themes likes BLM movement reference, the antiracist challenges, and give a "other point of view" from the quarantine (ha,ha,ha nope. Still i don't can getting in a good mental health at this time, I guess can be okay at future) 😜
