As someone who has always felt most comfortable in the forest, with nature, I connected with the author from the beginning. It's a wonderful book to start putting down the foundations in your own craft. The book is well organized and the beautiful illustrations are perfect for those who are more of a visual learner.

I loved the breakdown of the elements and then following them up with how to connect to each season. I personally feel that the seasons are the baby steps to connecting and building your craft. Lindsay Squire also connects everything to the zodiac and it adds just that little extra of connection.

Did I mention there is an entire section on herbs, spices, and flowers? Perfect for those gardeners who are looking to add a selection of herbs to accompany their spell-work and apothecary. I love how the author introduces us to 4 herbs/flowers visually and then provides us information. She then continues with 4 more, and so on. It helps the reader to not feel overwhelmed.

Overall, I definitely recommend this book to add to your witch collection. It has a great foundation and touches on a little bit of everything from ethics and crystals to empath care and shadow work.
