Kay is separated from her husband Jonathan and is bringing up her 16 year old twins alone. She works in a predominantly male environment and is banking on a promotion to keep her afloat as a single parent.
On the way home from picking up the twins from school, something happens and her reaction to the incident brings changes and issues into her life which she just did not foresee.
This book had me drawn in from the very first page. It was full of action and suspense that kept me up late as I couldn't put it down.
I've read all of Gemma's books but I think this one was her best one yet and one of the best books I've read this year!

I stayed up far too late last night finishing The Feud. It’s a shocking thriller that grabs at your emotions on every page! Loved it.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of The Feud by Gemma Roger's
Gemma has done it again, I have loved all her books, this one might be my favorite. Done in 2 days, could not put this novel down.
Kay is the mother of twins, recently separated, working full time to support her family, best friend Claire whom she relies on to share wine and end a busy week. All is good until a driver cuts Kay off on her way home from work, she isn't going to let him off so easily, and in doing so opens a whirlwind of retribution, who is Simon and why is he now stalking her. There is more to him than meets the eye, and who else is involved?
I loved how this story evolved from what seemed like a normal family, Kay dealing with a small altercation turns into much more. I love that Kay, being a strong and independent woman, comes out on top. Gemma has a way of introducing her characters, there personalities develop in our mind so you can picture them, feeling like you are part of the story. Well done!
Gemma please keep writing, reading your novels over in Canada too!

I love all of Gemma Rogers’s books and The Feud captured my attention right away! I just finished it yesterday.

Kay is at her wit’s end. Nothing is going well for her and she’s had it! Her frustration is at an all-time high and what completely sets her off is when a man in a Jaguar cuts her off. We have all been there, right? She isn’t about to let him get away with it and she confronts him but of course, he belittles her and blows her off. HOW DARE HE? Later, she sneaks over to his house and keys his beloved car. That sets off a whole chain of events that leads Kay into a terrible feud with Simon Fox who is pure evil and will stop at nothing to destroy Kay.

It doesn’t help that Kay’s husband has left her, the men at her job treat her terribly and she has two moody teenagers at home.

As tensions mount all around her, Kay must figure out a way to beat Simon at his own games, but how? He’s rich and powerful and she’s not.

Synopsis:

The day my path crossed with Simon Fox I thought I’d already lost everything but then he ran me off the road with his flash car and belittling jibes.

The men in my life had undermined me for too long.

Enough was enough.

Fuelled by alcohol and the desire to get even, I decided a spot of petty vandalism would make me feel a whole lot better.

Wrong. Very wrong…

I hadn’t realised that Simon Fox was not a man to be messed with.

He showed me just how much I still had left to lose.

Soon I was battling for my home, family and life.

Gemma is a brilliant author and you can’t go wrong with any of her books. This one comes out on May 10.

Thank you to Netgalley and Boldwood Books for this ARC of The Feud by Gemma Rogers.

What starts as a feud between neighbors quickly escalates into dangerous territory. I was engrossed in this book although at times it did seem to drag out a little. However, I found myself rooting for the main character as her life seemed to spin quickly out of control and also empathizing with her everyday anxiety and stress of life. This book brought real life struggles into it as well as a feud with a neighbor that could turn deadly that doesn't reach far out of the realm of what we see on the news. This was a page turner with real life possibilities lying within.

A book about revenge gone wrong. A really well written book. Which was easy to read. Good interesting characters, and a well thought out throught provoking book.

Well where do I begin? This book has reinforced why Gemma is a favourite Boldwood books author. This is quite possibly the best yet. I have no idea how a written review will do this justice.

Gemma has created the ultimate narcissist and sociopath in this one. Simon Fox is definitely an unsavoury character that you certainly wouldn’t want to meet. Initially, I was thinking silly feud between neighbours but this got so much darker.

This is a book which moves at the perfect pace. I have devoured page after page of this and been determined not to sleep until I’d finished it. I’m not disappointed, I’m only devastated that I can’t experience this as a first time read all over again.

There is so much to unravel with this book. Every little twist pulls you deeper and makes it even harder to put this down. You find girdled completely caught up in what’s going on. This book has transported me, I feel as though I have been right there with the characters watching this play out.

I have read all of Gemma’s books and this is definitely high on the favourites list. On times, this has made my heart pound from the events taking place. This book isn’t even published yet and I’m already eagerly awaiting Gemma’s next book.

This is an outstanding read and definitely one I will be recommending. A huge thank you to Boldwood for the advanced copy of this gem.

A quick and easy read that was well written with well developed characters that all brought something to the story and a compelling storyline. Twisty and unpredictable, I couldn't put it down.

I absolutely love books like this. Two strong characters engaged in a battle of wills. I spent the entire book wondering what was going to happen and I wasn’t disappointed. Highly recommend!

Revenge Gone Wrong…
When starting something gives rise to a situation that you are completely unable to control in this suspenseful and engaging tale of revenge gone wrong. With well crafted, although mainly unlikeable, characters and a compelling premise this is an intriguing tale of just how far one can spiral when desperate for revenge and just how badly it can all come crashing down.

3.5 Stars

This is my first read by this author and it is a hard one to rate and review. I didn't like it at first as the main character was whiney and a man hater. There is also a lot going on in this book and one of the surprises wasn't a surprise at all. BUT the book got better as it went along and I ended up flipping pages to find out what was going to happen. I was floored by some reveals and the story was shocking in some places, that Simon guy was simply loathsome. I wish I had liked Kay more as it would have made my reading more enjoyable. She was a little pathetic and blamed all her problems on men instead of looking inside herself and her need for alcoholics antonymous and a class on anger management. I would have had some sympathy for her had she tried to help herself instead of blaming everyone else for her lot in life. It was also a little repetitive and for those reasons I can't bump it up to four stars.

I did enjoy this book. It was slow in places. I wasn't sure if I liked or disliked Kay. I liked Claire and the twins Rachel and Ryan. I know I didn't like Jonathan. The way he was. Sneaky. I didn't see that coming. 4*.
