I can’t formulate into words how much I loved this book and story. It’s so beautiful written and heartbreaking but also gives hope of eternal love and how one heals over a grieving process.
I highly recommend it
Very grateful to the publisher for my review copy
wow what a totally , heart wrenching, and breathtakingly beautiful. . I love a good love story but this took every emotion out of me in the best way .
the main character Tessa a young girl with a talent for art[ photography], adopted by Mel after her mother abandon her as a young child ., she meets Skylar at the movie theatre sounds perfect but the both very different people ,yet they end up being perfect together and well they fall in love and the rest is history , until Skylar dies in a car accident and Tessa is in a coma but comes round to find out the awful news , which totally shatters her world.
I don't want to give to much away if people haven't read this book or watched the film . I think the title gives it away a little so Tessa starts having wired things happen , she blames herself for Skylar dying.. she starts to find that Skylar trying to contact her from the in between and then we get taken on the most magical love story .
the story also takes you on a journey of self discovery which really makes the story for me its so wonderful written .The book had me crying and laughing and my heart being pulled out of my chest totally worth it, totally captivating. this is a story which wont leave my mind ever .
I really wanted to read this book before I watched it on Netflix. Because the book is always better for me. But sometimes the adaptations sometimes just bring another side to the character development. The book is ok. I liked the character development but it just felt a little bit flat for me.
This was an enjoyable read. The writing was good and the storyline was engaging but for me by far the best thing wax the character development. I found the characters really relatable and believeable and I hope that is carried over into the netflix show. The paranormal element was interesting and definitely added something to the storyline. I look forward to watching the show and reading more by the author.
This was a quick, fast-paced read, and I wanted to love it, but something just fell flat for me. I was intrigued by the premise and the fact that I’d seen it was being released as a movie, so I was excited to dive in straight away,
First, I loved the main characters, Tessa and Skylar, and ultimately that was what kept me reading until the end. But I just couldn’t get to grips with the dual timeline, and I don’t think the paranormal aspect worked that well.
Overall, despite my issues, it was still an emotional rollercoaster of a book. I just wish I could have gotten to grips with the plot a bit more. Thank you to Netgalley, the author and publisher, for a chance to read and review this book.
