Julie and Sam have their lives planned out. Together. But then Sam dies and everything changes. How can Julie move on in life without him? Desperate to speak to him, she calls him… and he answers.
A lovely novel about first love, loss and grief. It didn’t make me as emotional as I imagined but I still had a little cry at the end. It’s hard to think what you would do if you had one more chance to speak to someone you’ve lost.
The writing was a little repetitive the dialogue sometimes seemed a little stilted but was a great read.
Thank you to Net Galley and MacMillan for this arc in exchange for my honest review.
A story about grief that I thought had lots of potential and would resonate a lot woth me since I know grief too well... But unfortunately that wasn't the case. We all go through grief differently and the way Julia went through hers wasn't of my liking at all. I tried to cut her some slack but I just couldn't.
A beautifully written book. Really enjoyed reading this. Thanks to publishers and NetGalley for the opportunity to read. The hype is real
A sweet and gut-wrenching story about young love. Perfect for fans of Jandy Nelson and Kristen Dwyer
