Jamilla is the ultimate diplomat, hoping to guide Prince Dane through this very important trade negotiation. Dane, however, is only there under sufferance to please his half brother - the King of Zafar. This is the ultimate will they/ won’t they romance full of misunderstanding and stubbornness from both the main characters!
I’m afraid to say this wasn’t particularly memorable - I’ve already forgotten both the plot and the characters!
Banished Prince To Desert Boss is a sizzling and sexy read, that just oozes chemistry between the two protagonists. The will/they won't they love story has you wanting to scream out loud in frustration at times at their actions. But it's a very good read.

Really enjoyed this
I liked the behind the scenes - great detail
Ambitious and loyal, Jamilla hopes guiding the King of Zafar's half brother through a vital trade mission will further her career. Dane doesn't want to be in Zafar but would do anything for his older brother. Sizzling chemistry and misunderstandings define Jamilla and Dane's first meeting, and Jamilla needs all her diplomatic skills to deal with Dane.
I like the gradual emotional commitment and trust between Jamilla and Dane. The beautifully flawed characters, both with emotional damage from childhood, have a conflicted but deepening relationship.
Vivid settings and vibrant characters make this glamorous romance engaging to read.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley.
I loved it. Some great behind the scenes at royal events and in the household. Some great character development and two great leading personalities who learn to share themselves and their difficult pasts with each other. There are misunderstandings along the way but the HEA is never in real doubt.
I received an ARC from NetGalley and Mills and Boon in return for an honest review.
I always enjoy this author’s work. She is original and innovative, and always manages to create the most engaging and fascinating characters who are all different. No boring repetitive stories as so many other writers produce. Instead, each book is new and different.
The story of Dane (half brother to Karim, (King of a desert state) and Jamilla,( a senior aide to the King). Dane is asked to step in for his half brother on a trade mission and Jamilla is the one who’s to help him stay on track as he attempts to be ‘royal’. He left when he was a child and is not keen on royalty and all the protocols which accompany his brother’s role. Jamilla is ambitious and sees this job as her stepping stone to something even more important and isn’t happy when she realises how ‘un-royal’ Dane is.
I loved this story. The author’s treatment of the characters and the plot was really satisfying. The dialogue is skilful, evocative and sensitive. I loved the couple’s journey to a happy ever after. Another great read from Heidi Rice and a lovely opportunity to meet up with
