I adore Chloe Liese and she is the perfect sports romance author to me. Everything for You is the perfect blend of romcom and sports romance. It made me laugh more than it made me cry (which is not typical for me). I was so excited for Oliver’s story and I was not disappointed. As an ex-collegiate athlete I understood Gavin’s need for soccer and his loss of identity without it. I loved this book so much and I can’t wait to see where this series goes!

Thanks to Netgalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This is an MLM, soccer based romance with sunshine x grump, forced proximity, only one bed, anxiety rep, lactose intolerance rep & chronic pain rep, as well as Bisexual & Gay rep.
So like most of us I love the Bergman Brothers series but I was craving some more LGBTQIA+ rep.
(Out of a set of 7 siblings I figured there might be *some*)
We then got Axel who is demisexual, which was great, but I really wanted to see a same sex relationship in this series so when it hinted that Oliver was having a relationship with a man in book 4 I was Very excited.
At the beginning of the book Oliver has a really bad breakup with a guy on his college soccer team as well as a bit of an identity crisis. As the youngest brother of a group of 7 siblings he has a lot of feelings of inadequacy (not to bring up she-who-must-not-be-named but he gave me Major Ron Weasley vibes). He then decides to follow his dreams and take a job at the LA Galaxy Soccer team before finishing college, partly to get away from his ex but also for a fresh start.
We then have a 4 year time jump, which to be fair I think the series probably needed in order for the relationships to progress. However it does mean that we miss out on the 2 years of 'animosity' between Gavin & Oliver.
Gavin is a veteran player and has been one of Oliver's hero's since he was younger, however Gavin has a Lot of issues and is the Grumpiest grump to our Sunshine.
The two are made co-captains and told if they can't get on they'll both have their captaincies revoked. They are also neighbours so are forced to see each other a LOT.
The two start building their relationship whilst also being super horny for each other.
We see their feelings grow into something more real and see them take care of each other - whether it's Gavin's chronic pain or Oliver's anxiety or his lactose intolerance.
These two have a Lot of chemistry and there are so many scenes that were 🔥🔥🔥
Also, it's kinda subtle but there's definitely a slight d/s aspect to their relationship and Oliver has a Huge praise kink.
As we've had a time jump, we also get to see some mini Bergmans and Oliver's relationship with them which is super sweet. As well as some weddings!
I loved the romance in this book but some of my favourite parts were the chronic pain and anxiety rep. I have anxiety and have to take meds for it, I've also got many other medical issues and at the time of reading this book I'd very recently had an operation so the oppressive constance of Gavin's pain felt very real to me and had me just wishing he could get at least Some relief!
Another aspect I loved, which I believe is inspired by Ted Lasso series (but i haven't seen it), was all the talk about toxic masculinity and being able to be physical and share emotions in a group of men.
Also, I obviously loved all the musical references, especially Encanto.
The only reason I knocked it down a star was because it felt quite rushed. I think that's possibly because we missed the first 2 years of Oliver & Gavin's relationship due to the time jump but things just seemed to progress very quickly and the book was over before I knew it, I want more please! 😅
CW: homophobic slur (not stated), sexual content, panic attacks, anxiety, chronic pain

I love that not only does Chloe Liese write an engaging love story but she tackles deep things like chronic pain, anxiety, perfectionism, & parental abandonment. As someone with anxiety it was interesting to see how anxiety manifested differently with Oliver than it did with Aidan in Ever After Always. There was the wonderful love & humor from the extended Bergman clan & of course the A frame figured prominently in the love story. I just love how all the books in the series weave together seamlessly. This was loaded with so many great romance tropes like grumpy/sunshine, enemies-to-lovers & only one bed,

I don't know how Chloe does it. She digs so deeply into her characters that the reader feels like they know the characters' full, true selves. This book was written with such care and love. I adored Oliver and Gavin's love story as well as their own individual character arcs. Chloe is also my QUEEN of the sexiest slow burns on the planet!!! This book almost set me on fire. I can't believe there are only 2 Bergman books left - I guess I will just have to reread them all until the end of time.

I would do anything to be apart of the Bergman family, I love them so much and this book just showed me even more so why. I loved this story, I love Chloe's writing style and the characters she creates that all have so much depth to them. Chloe knows how to write the PERFECT grumpy/sunshine and this book delivered. Gavin is the perfect grump, and Oliver is the perfect person to even him out with his sunshine and humor. The character struggles in this felt so real and dear to my heart, I don't think I've read a Chloe Liese story without tearing up a few times within the pages of her books.
Thank you so much #Netgalley for an early read of #EverythingForYou in exchange for my honest review.

Thank you Netgalley for the eARC, these opinions are my own. I'm not a huge sports fan myself but I really do enjoying reading about characters who play sports, especially when it involves queer characters! I enjoyed reading about both Oliver and Gavin! Gavin's grumpyness was right up my alley! I enjoyed how Oliver evened him out with his humor and kindness! I loved the characters and how developed they were and I enjoyed how they were all so different but meshed together so well! I also enjoyed the inclusion of people with disabilities. I suffer from many myself so I love reading about characters who are especially when they are well written like these are! I enjoyed this book a lot and highly recommend it!

Oliver is such a fun character to read about - despite his heartbreak, he is so full of joy and really strives to be a shining light in every room he walks into. On the other hand, we've got Gavin, the gorgeous grump, who is really struggling with the direction of his future. Both men are dealing with internal conflicts, forcing them to ignore the natural attraction they have for one another. I think Chloe did a great job with the interactions between the two men and the things that brought them together. It was typical for a romance of this type, with the two living next door, but not too contrived or cliche. The characters were both loveable and I was really cheering for them to deal with their hang-ups to finally see them together. I loved the Mitch character who encouraged the relationship without being too pushy. I also felt like the coach did this in a good way. They both had such a supportive community that was key to their eventual happiness. And of course I loved how they brought the Bergmans into the story and included the A-frame. Though not my favorite from the Bergman series, Chloe did not disappoint.

This is the first book I have read in the series and now I want to go back and try the others. I also may have found my new favorite subgenre which is M/M soccer romance. A delightful grumpy and sunshine enemies to lovers romance. Some good slow burn.

I've said it before but I'll say it again, I want to be a member of the Bergman family! I will forever love this series, and all of the characters that are a part of it. In this newest book, we get to read Oliver's story, and I'm so glad we do. I have been looking forward to his story. There is also an age gap between the two main characters, and each of the characters is dealing with their own things. For example, Oliver suffers from anxiety; as someone who also suffers from anxiety, I was really glad to see this represented in the book. She also showed chronic pain. There is also a grumpy x sunshine trope, which so many people, including myself, love. Throw in being forced into the same hotel room with only one bed, and you have the makings of a perfect romance. One of the things that I love about Chloe's books is the witty banter between characters. There are also many profound quotes throughout the book. I had so many highlighted as I was reading. I also love how sweet the Bergman brothers are with each other. Chloe does a great job of showing just how much they love each other.
I liked that we got to catch up with all the different members of the Bergman family, and even meet some of the newer ones as well. And at the end, we get a little spoiler that another Bergman story is coming in 2023, and I am already so excited to read it. Thank you for giving me the chance to read an early copy of this book.

'Everything For You' is the 5th installment of one of my most favorite fictional families... The Bergmans! I essentially love everything Chloe Liese does, and was excited to see the youngest Bergman brother get his HEA, and to see how Chloe did her first M/M book.
I want to start by saying, I really did enjoy this book, but I did end up having a harder time connecting to this love story since there was a pretty significant time jump right at the beginning. When the story really gets going, we're 4 years ahead of the previous book, and Oliver Bergman is well established on his MLS team with soccer superstar, Gavin Hayes (2 years playing together). This book is serving Ted Lasso & Roy Kent vibes so if you're a fan of the show, I think you'll enjoy this.
As always, Chloe handles neurodivergence with SO MUCH care and grace. I once again love seeing anxiety rep on the page. And in Gavin, we see him living in constant chronic pain from years and years of brutal professional sports play.
I just had wished and hoped for more from their love story. With the time jump, we don't see much of the animosity between them and while it is addressed, sometimes it was hard for me to see why them falling in love was such a big struggle. I don't know if that makes complete sense or not but that's the best I'm able to do. Like, show me, don't tell me. Also, this was the author's first steps into a full queer romance and I love that she did it - but it seemed almost safe? Once again, not sure if that makes sense but at times it felt like you could have changed Gavin's name to a female name or swapped him for a female character.
I absolutely love Chloe and all the Bergmans - what I also really loved was getting to see Bergman babies and more weddings. She knows how much we adore this family and while it wasn't my favorite, I still had fun reading it and enjoyed the book because it still has that same dry humor and wit and laugh out loud moments I've come to love from Chloe.
Review thoughts are entirely my own. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to the author, and NetGalley for this eARc
Answer these questions: What makes this book different from all others? And why should anyone care?
Give enough info about the plot of a novel or the facts in a nonfiction book that they have a context for your opinions. Don’t give so much that your post turns into a book report instead of a review. And no spoilers! Be fair to your fellow readers.
Whenever possible, put the good things about a book or author up front.
Criticize the book, not the author, if you don’t like what you’ve read. Explain why.

I truly do love the Bergman Family. I have my favorites for sure. I was very excited for Oliver’s story. He deserves the big soul grabbing love.
Oliver lacks depth in this story. He comes off as shallow and fake and it was very much not my feelings for Oliver in the previous books. One of my biggest issues is that fact the Oliver is basically non communitive with his family. It very much paints Oliver as incredibly immature and frustrating.
Gavin is a character I am not sure what to do with. He is a grumpy character and I loved that typically. He stayed to true to his grumpiness even when he was happy. I do not thing we got enough of his backstory and who he is. I also struggled with Gavin and his aliments and his status with the team. Chronic pain from injuries was written here but I just don’t know how he still had placement on the team given the amount of pain he was in.
I struggled believing either of these guys are professional athletes what with the excessive amount of time off. The lack of team comradery really made the pro athlete part of the story hard to digest. I am not a sports or soccer expected but I just expected more.
Let’s talk Bergman’s. I really do love them but in this book they were a bit overwhelming. I love the family dynamic but at times I felt it over shadowed Gavin and Oliver. Because of how many there are and how much time they are given to the story you never get a true grasp on Gavin and Oliver’s relationship or their connection to the coaches and teammates.
There was great LGBTQ+ Rep in this book. Oliver was bi-sexual and Gavin is gay.
Something I have noticed that the author does a lot is make mention to tons of Pop Culture references in the books. This book it was Hamilton and previously it was Harry Potter in Book two. I am over it. I truly wish that authors would not use pop culture references. It truly ages the book also if those are things you do not like you are going almost immediately shut down. I also feel like instead of the author’s maturing and finding their rhythm as they write their voice ahs become more contrived and immature. This story seems to lack the flushed out characters and storylines of the previous books. I also feel like the authors is trying to write to a very narrow audience and that is just not me. I will recommend book 1-3 of this series always but I have concluded moving forward these stories are no longer for me.

Another Bergman book to fall in love with!
Everything For You by Chloe Liese is the fifth book in the Bergman series. I've been looking forward to this after reading the previous book. All the books in the series are considered stand-alone, but I highly recommend them all. There's a lot of familial loyalty in the books. All books have shown so many tender and relatable moments concerning romance and various sensitive topics such as mental health and medical conditions. This current book is no exception.
I love Oliver and Gavin. The dual point of view works for this book, which makes us understand the antagonism between the two characters, mainly on Gavin's part. You can't help but sympathize with Gavin's inner turmoil regarding Oliver, not to mention his upbringing. And I just want to hug sweet, sweet Oliver, who has shown reliable and trustworthy character through and through. The slow burn of their relationship works as well, and all the more sweeter as they gradually bond and give in to their feelings.
Chloe Liese's writing is so expressive to me. She manages to draw out into words the feelings and thoughts that are so common to anyone who has dealt with loss, pain, and heartbreak and yet so hard to express.
I'll definitely read this book (and cry) again! I’m looking forward to the next Bergman book!
Thank you, NetGalley and publisher, for the advance eARC.

I have received a free copy of this book from Netgalley in return for my honest review.
Let me start by saying, I have read the 4 previous Bergman Brothers books and absolutely loved them (In fact book 4 is on my Books you have to pry from my cold dead fingers list. So yes, to say I like the series is an understatement)
In book 4 you get hints about Oliver and his story, at least enough of a hint to determine that he will be a Queer Bergman, which I was super stoked about.. While the book itself was way different than what I expected, it was still very enjoyable and near the top of the list of my favorites in the series.
The main premise of the Enemies to Lovers trope is very well executed in my opinion. Two men on the same Soccer team, forced to work together. It's just the great stuff Romance novels are made of.
Which is what Chloe Liese does very well, in these Bergman books, each book has a very kind of clear Trope it is following, as well as focusing on Characters with various disabilities (both physical and mental). A seven book series like that seems like it could quickly get boring and overdone, but Liese does fabulous at ensuring each book feels fresh and fun, and not just a checklist of "I am covering this trope now with these issues for the characters"
Oliver and Gavin are both really interesting characters. Their motivation and barriers to the romance make sense and are true to the characters that are established. Oliver hesitant because he almost wrecked his life over romance before (the issue that was happening in Book 4) and Gavin because he is reaching the end of his career and unsure if he can handle watching someone have what he is desperate to not give up. The conflict between them is relatable and not frustrating in the way some Romances can be, when all you want to do is scream at the two leads to just Talk. To. Each Other.
The side characters in this book, excluding the other Bergmans (who appear in every book) are my favorite of the series so far. I love the little Senior Citizen Poker club (yes that will make sense very early in the book) In romances, some authors tend to forget that the supporting characters of the leads are just as important as the two main characters themselves. The support characters help flesh the characters out to help you understand them during the necessary conflict and such, but also the Support characters are 9 times out of 10 the driving force getting the characters together, and if they are themselves dull and boring, even the most brilliant of Main Characters are just a struggle. I think Romances where the Author really focuses things as a bit more like an ensemble tend to work much better, and this book (and series) really do that.
Overall, I absolutely adored this book and was so happy to get the chance to read it. I will say, if you read the other books, this one is def one of the better ones (which is hard to say because I have enjoyed all of them so much). If you haven't read the others (the previous 4 are het romances, which may not be what some readers are into) it might not be as enjoyable, as a lot of the family dynamics and details, at least on Oliver's side, are really informed by the previous four books, so a lot of Oliver's character can get a bit lost without the knowledge of books 1-4.

Oliver’s turn! The youngest Bergman brother gets his book with this one. Oliver is a star player for the LA Galaxy. He shares the captaincy with Gavin, an experienced star player nearing the end of his career. Gavin reminds me a lot of Roy Kent - grumpy, gorgeous, and broken. Oliver is all sunshine on the outside, but deals with crippling anxiety on the inside. Will these two be able to overcome their differences and their sizzling attraction?
I loved this one just as much as I’ve loved the other Bergman novels! Chloe Liese is such an underrated talent - every book she puts out is fire!

I’m so blown away by Chloe Liese’s ability to write about such diverse topics with grace and authenticity.
This book tackles such important topics like chronic pain, anxiety, and even has female autism representation. It tackles all of this while still being a laugh out loud, tender love story.
I really enjoyed the balance between the raw and emotional subject matter with the laugh out loud moments.
This is book 5 of the Bergman Brothers series, but it can be read as a stand alone. Of course, you’ll get more context with Oliver’s family specifically if you read the others first, but you won’t be lost if you start here.
Grumpy sunshine isn’t my favorite trope, but Gavin is one of my favorite grumpy MC’s. Oliver was a delight and of course so was his entire family. How Oliver handled Gavin's chronic pain (specifically the shower scene) was so heartwarming and I couldn't get enough of it.
Gavin and Linnea's interactions were SO cute!
I really love when a traditional M/F romance author switches it up and does a queer romance. This one is done incredibly well.
“Sunrise of my heart” & “my heart’s love” 🥺🥺🥺

Everything for you is a queer soccer romance that is fun, steamy, and emotional. Chloe Liese knows how to pull your heart strings and make you smile with Oliver and Gavin’s story!
Everything For You is everything and more! Oliver Bergman’s book is something you do not want to miss. A soccer romance with a sunshine and grumpy trope that it will give you all the warm fuzzy feels reading Gavin, the British grumpy football legend fall for the sunshine golden boy with loud clothes and a bright personality to match despite his begrudging. This book gave me all the feels! It had me smiling like a dork reading page after page, laughing at their bickering and bantering and also sniffling and crying at the heartfelt and emotional scenes. Seeing the Bergman family again was so great. I love seeing old characters back and seeing how much they’ve grown, where they are and like Chloe Liese said, uncle Oliver is the best!!! His relationship with them is the sweetest and seeing Oliver’s dynamics with each of his siblings. Viggo is just the most hilarious person and I can’t wait to read his book but back to Oliver and Gavin! I love them so much! I love the dynamic of banter, fun flirty nature of them. How Gavin always acts grumpy and Oliver is just a ray of sunshine that Gavin can’t help to be caught under. The way they lean on each other and help each other, their sweet moments together when no one is watch them. How protective and caring they are towards each other.
Gavin and Oliver are complete opposites, forced to work together for the sake of the team. It has forced proximity, found family, age gap, former teen crush, grumpy and sunshine, one bed trope, hurt/comfort and all the tension filled steam! It also has anxiety rep, chronic pain rep, gay and bisexual main characters. One of the most comforting things about Chloe’s books is that she writes characters that feel so close to you. They feel like your own friends and family and always has rep for everyone. She is an author that I have always felt connected with from the start of her series, you will always find a trait in her characters that you connect with in my experience and this book is no different, it’s amazing, uplifting, emotional but centred around love and the amazing family the Bergman’s have created for themselves and their significant others so if you haven’t read this series yet, please do and if you’re waiting to read this book, You will not be disappointed! This book is amazing!

I love a Chloe Liese grumpy/sunshine romance! It’s become her hallmark, opposites who attract in the most delicious way. This was a beautiful m/m romance between two players on the same soccer team, with plenty of humor and heart mixed in with the steam and swoon.
Oliver Bergman is pure sunshine, at least on the outside, going through life with a kill-them-with-kindness attitude. He has mostly avoided his grumpy teammate, Gavin, the misanthropic superstar veteran player, until the two are named co-captains. Forced to play nice for the sake of the team, the two opposites find it hard to fight the attraction they’ve been ignoring.
The author always writes about people experiencing life outside of the standard picture of health, which is alway so great to see this inclusion. While Oliver was the poster boy for a rising star athlete, he also struggles greatly with anxiety and feelings of inadequacy. Gavin is living with chronic pain, a life spent sacrificing his body for his sport has left him miserable and afraid to face the reality of life after soccer.
I really enjoyed their swoony slow burn romance, growing from people who barely spoke to becoming the most important people in each other's lives. There’s a great cast of supporting characters, from Gavin’s elderly poker friends to the always interfering Bergman clan.
I loved how we really got to know Ollie and his feelings, his anxiety, his relationship to his family. I wish we could have gotten to know Gavin better, we do find out some things about his background but not really until after the 90% mark. I would have loved to get to know him throughout the course of the book instead of just at the end, where it felt a little like it was a little rushed through!
Overall though a beautiful romance!

thank you netgalley for an arc of this book! :D
chloe liese has quite literally never missed, and oliver bergman is without a fail my new favorite bergman sibling. something about the way he's written was genuinely so personal to me, and i resonated with his fears and insecurities SO MUCH.
the romance was so well done & so, so adorable. i never go into a liese book expecting a slow burn, and this one once again fit that weird middle category of not quite fast burn not quite slow burn–i think the pacing could have been a little better but its genuinely so cute i can't even complain?? watching gavin turn off his mean filter and open up to oliver and reading the gradual realization into love was just SO GOOD god i love them.
i think my only BIG issue with this book is while i do like gavin, i hated his personality. there's no big explanation to why he's a dick except for his fear & envy of oliver, and while that's understandable i also just didn't love it. and it gets resolved so close to the end and i didn't like that personally. gavin was such a fun character & had more potential to be explored but he was barely brushed on compared to the depth we get of oliver, which is disappointing considering its a dual pov romance.
all in all, i think everyone should read this book & the rest of the bergman brothers series <3 chloe liese has always delivered

Passionate, Hot, and Fun Sports Romance is Very Rewarding

“I have no notion of loving people by halves, it is not my nature.” - Jane Austen, Northanger Abbey
It’s always a pleasure to read Chloe Liese’s novels as they are thoughtful, well written, and examine the essential natures of their protagonists. Liese doesn’t simply tell a story, she gives us rich characterizations and beautiful world-building. With the Bergmans, we also have a lot of fun.
As we begin, “Everything For You”, Oliver Bergman is mourning a break-up as he and his brother Viggo drive to the Bergman family’s A-Frame for the celebration of the marriage of Axel and Rooney (“With You Forever”). It’s difficult for Oliver to watch all of his loved-up siblings as he nurses his broken heart. Oliver is also learning to cope with his newly-diagnosed anxiety and trying to decide his future path. He decides that in the future, he will keep the people he loves separate from the game he loves: soccer.
Four years later, Oliver is playing for the Galaxy and his once idol, Gavin Hayes, is his very grumpy veteran teammate. That is, until the coach tells them that they are now co-captains of the team. Leaving us with the question: will they be able to work together?
Gavin definitely gives off Roy Kent vibes with his grumpy demeanor, proclivity for swearing, his age, and his pain issues. (I might have a Roy Kent t-shirt, coffee mug and he might be my cell wallpaper so, this made me ecstatic.) Readers who have never seen Ted Lasso will still enjoy Gavin’s grumpy personality. It’s a great contrast to Oliver’s sunny disposition.
“...everything you say to him is like it’s specially designed to get under his skin.” - Coach
Oliver gets under Gavin’s skin and vice versa but the coach assures Oliver that there is “more” to Gavin.
“I’m six-four, big-boned, my voice sounds like gravel-laced ice, and my sentences are eighty-five percent profanity.” - Gavin
The banter between Oliver and Gavin is freaking delightful as is the crushing, the lusting, the pining! All these factors drew me into the story and kept me locked there. I simply could not put this book down. They find themselves tuned in to one another, turned on by one another and neither of them wants to be for different reasons.
“I want to grab him by the shirt and shake him until I have a hold on him like he does on me.” - Oliver
The Bergmans are all back together and we get to see another Bergman Brothers Summit in which they use their romance-reading powers to help Oliver figure out how to handle Gavin’s attitude towards him. I love this family so much. It’s great to be able to “check in” with them and see where they are after their own books have concluded.
As the story progresses, Gavin and Oliver learn more about themselves and each other and it’s so satisfying to be on that journey with them. Their issues with anxiety (Oliver) and chronic pain (Gavin) are touchingly handled by Liese.
“Everything For You”, is a fantastic addition to the Bergmans series. The mutual pining is intense and the tension is so palpable that I don't think that I would necessarily call this a slow burn. It is hot, hot, hot. I loved Gavin and Oliver’s relationship in all its iterations: tense teammates, wary neighbors, and new lovers. I highly recommend this romance if you love a passionate and steamy story that is rich in characters, that is also fun and heartfelt.
Siggy and Viggo are the two Bergmans who are left to get their own romances and I can’t wait and at the same time, don’t want this series to end.
I received an advance copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.
