I am a big Chloe Liese stan, but this book didn't really do it for me. I'm not sure what exactly didn't work, I just know that I was able to walk away from it and wasn't compelled to finish it in the same way I felt about the rest of the series.

That said, I think that is all largely a me as a reader problem, not a problem with the book overall.

What I loved: grumpy/sunshine, Gavin's emotional journey (honestly all the Bergman men being willing to be in touch with their feelings!!), and Oliver's disposition. As with most romances, what I really appreciated was the overall commentary Chloe had on romance and what it means to live life, and I think the commentary here - about there still being something beautiful in the unexpected - really resonated with me this time around.

I love the Bergman clan so much and loved all the side characters popping up. And I especially can't wait to read Ziggy and Viggo's books!

I've been hearing about Chloe Liese forever and I am so glad I started with Oliver's book out of all the Bergman's. Am I going to go back and read all of the books now? Of course. I really like Gavin and Oliver's story especially because they both fought it so hard. Also Gavin being the biggest softie was not something I was expecting at all. I can't wait to read more from Chloe Liese in the future!

Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for providing me with an arc for an honest review!

Forced proximity is hands down my favorite trope, but throw in some grumpy/sunshine enemies to lovers and I'm a goner!

Y'all this may be my favorite Bergman Brothers book yet, and is definitely making my favorites list this year. I loved absolutely everything about it. Sweet Oliver stole my heart, especially as we got underneath all his sunshine and peppy personality to see the insecurities and anxiety he tried to keep hidden. And then I fell even harder for grumpy Gavin who kept everyone at arm's length as he dealt with chronic pain and the potential end of his career looming ahead. These two together were absolute fireworks!

If you've loved all the Bergman Brothers books, this one should obviously already be on your radar. But if you enjoy sports romances, enemies to lovers, grumpy & sunshine, and forced proximity, you should also add this beautiful book to your TBR! All of the Bergman books can be read as standalones.

Thank you to NetGalley for providing an eARC of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I picked this book up on impulse because the cover looked like a queer sports romance (which it is), and that happens to be one of my all time favorite genres.

This was such a gem to find though because now I'm well on my way to being a Chloe Liese superfan. I've ordered the other four books in the series that take place before this one (they all stand on their own so no need to read in order if you don't want to) and I will be preordering the next ones. She writes beautiful love stories that I NEED more of. She has also confirmed that future books of hers will have main queer pairings so I'm excited to see that.

I'm not normally a fan of age-gap romances in general, but I think this was done very well. The anxiety rep was just perfect, and I related to Oliver in a lot of ways. We also see chronic pain rep through Gavin over the course of the novel.

I preordered this after reading my ARC and then immediately reread it upon getting my physical copy because this is everything I wanted!

Thoroughly enjoyed this book, which isn’t much of a surprise, since Chloe Liese never lets me down.
These characters were so fun to meet and the grumpy/sunshine trope made me love it more.

I am a huge fan of Ted Lasso, I watched the two available seasons in two days, then rewatched them again with my friend over Zoom! So, when my friend who's on twitter sent me a picture of this cover, I knew I needed this book in my hands immediately. I was so happy when I was approved for the arc, so thank you to the publisher and Chloe Liese for allowing me the honor.

My review is a little late but trust, I was simply overworked (teaching, amirite?) but I finished this before its release.

I had some mixed feelings about this book but let's start with an overview of the plot:

This contemporary romance alternates point of views between our resident sunshine prankster Oliver and our gentle grump Gavin. Oliver and Gavin are football players on the same team. Oliver comes from a big (big!) family, an aspect I wanted so desperately to enjoy seeing as I have even more siblings than dear Ol. Yet, there was this issue of familiarity that hindered my reading: having not read any of the books in this series, I was a bit lost at who was who, and honestly, I didn't have the emotional connection other readers who've read them have. I didn't care much for the characters though Vigo, Oliver's brother, stayed with me and was a huge comic relief. He's so much fun and I know I'll read his book as well.

Now, onto our second lead Gavin, who suffers from chronic pain due to his many injuries. Gavin's pain is a constant in his life, reminding him that his body is a ticking bomb that's about to implode and end his career; which is the only thing he loves and cares for seeing as he has no family and no friends. With the exception of the old men with whom he plays poker on a weekly basis. I felt for Gavin, I truly did. I saw the similarity of him and Roy (Ted Lasso) who's my absolute favorite character, by the way, and I was charmed by him. I loved that he was so stern and angry because we sure could use more angry disabled rep- they're in pain, they can be as angry as they liked.

My main issue with the book is the sort of imbalance in focus. The majority of the book highlighted Oliver and his issue with Gavin not wanting to be his friend. I was sympathetic to Gavin so I understood why he kept everyone at an arm's length, so Oliver felt a bit pushy to me. His and brothers' solutions to that was to prank Gavin, in a way to thaw the ice between them, but that felt a bit...childish to me. I thought a good sit down and a proper talk would be more mature but hey, that's just the autistic teacher in me, who has no patience for practical jokes.

Over all, I thought the book could have used more talk and less...communication issues glossed over with sexual tension. Every time I thought they'd properly talk, they end up succumbing to the sexual attraction and in a way that made things worse. (Duh, I could've told you that, my friends.) But let's blame that on age, and I'm sure this book would have been more endearing to me had I been familiar with the other books in the series; seeing as Oliver's family had a big spotlight (we attend not one but three weddings of theirs?! Wow!)

As an anxious reader, I thought the anxiety rep was nice and a good nod. The chronic pain rep was painfully real but thankfully, the book came with content warnings, which I always appreciate.

I enjoyed this book! I’ve loved all of the Bergman Brothers series, and while this one wasn’t my favourite, it was still a lot of fun. The characters felt a little flat for me, and while I loved the Ted Lasso vibes, Gavin was a little too close to Roy Kent for me and it jolted me out of the story. I wanted a bit more character development and a little more depth to the story, but if you’re looking for a quick fun romance this would be a good choice

I have been enjoying the Bergmen Brothers series so much, but this one just didn't have the chemistry or the pacing.

I loved Oliver and reading about the family again! And both Oliver and Gavin had great, heartfelt backstories, but the connection just didn't happen. Some of their scenes together were great, especially the care taking ones, the relationship was rushed, though. They absolutely don't get along and then seem to suddenly be declaring their love for each other. I feel like I missed the whole relationship!

Absolutely looking forward to the last two Bergman siblings.

Thank you to NetGalley & the publisher for providing an eARC for review.

I started the Bergman Brothers series on a whim and boy am I glad I did. I think Everything for You has been my favorite so far. The second Gavin was described, I couldn't help but think of another angry British soccer player, Roy Kent. The more I thought about it, I realized Oliver was definitely Ted Lasso. This just endeared me to the story even more. Chloe Liese has a way with words, and writes characters that are real. I love throughout the series, you get hints of all the siblings introduced to you, and revisited after their stories are finished. It makes me wish I came from a big Swedish family. I truly loved Oliver and Gavin's story, and I'm not sure what I'm going to do when the series is over.

Gear up for an all-the-feels, steamy slow-burn in this enemies-to-lovers sports romance about fighting for love when life’s taught you it’s a losing game.

I have loved following the Bergman's since Only When It's Us and this book is no exception. I was really looking forward to Oliver's book and Chloe did not disappoint! This book was so good! It had several top-tier tropes including sports gays, teenage crush second chance, enemies to lovers, age gap, and my personal favorites, sunshine/grump, and one bed *chefs kiss*. Chloe is the queen at building chemistry and tender moments between her character to create this believable connection/romance. I was fully invested in Oliver and Gavin's relationship, but also more so in their friendship with one another. It was a beautiful journey to see them grow understanding for one another and build their mutual respect and admiration. It made their mutual pinning that much more sweet and rewarding.

I believe Chloe represented Oliver's anxiety attacks well and it was really beautiful and important to see how Gavin, his teammates, and his coach supported Oliver in those moments. Other topics of physical pain resulting from ongoing years of playing soccer, as well as the grieving process for the range of emotions felt when it is time to walk away from the game are explored. Gavin struggles with feelings of self-worth, believing his worth is tied to his ability to play soccer. Oliver strips that entire belief system down and offers Gavin so much unconditional support and love, which is truly beautiful. I just love these two and every character written in this series with my whole heart.

The full Bergman family made a few appearances, of course, which was so fun and loving per usual! It makes my heart burst with joy to see the family slowly grow *wipes tear*. I hope we get to read Ziggy's story next!

I don’t know what to say, other than it was beautiful! I cried 4 times!!! The second chapter had me weeping like a baby. As it was expected from Chloe this baby was a warm hug full of complicated emotions and, always, I loved every second of it. Chloe has such a wonderful talent to pack in heavy and real subjects without them feeling overwhelming and without them having unrealistic solutions. Gavin and Oliver had to learn to trust and to depend on each other. And even though I didn’t like it(the separation), I loved that Gavin had to get himself in a better space alone before bringing that to Oliver even though he(Oliver) was ready to take whatever Gavin brought to him but sometimes you have to better yourself alone so you can be better for someone else.

To anyone who has ever told me to pick up Chloe Liese's Bergman Brothers series - thank you. I completely understand the hype, I finished this book with the biggest smile on my face, just totally head over heels for Oliver & Gavin! I need more!

I'm a new reader to the Bergman world but had no trouble at all jumping right in - this can 100% be read as a standalone, Liese did a fantastic job of introducing the family & their respective partners. Enemies-to-lovers will always be my favorite trope & this ranks as one of the best I've read - the banter between Ollie & Gavin was everything! The dual POVs were really effective, I really understood & empathized with both Ollie & Gavin & the issues they were dealing with - Ollie with anxiety, Gavin with chronic pain & fear over the potential end of his career. As someone who deals with pretty severe anxiety myself, I appreciated that the tougher moments weren't glossed over yet were also handled with care. This brought me to tears more than once, for all of the bickering & fighting these two did there were some truly beautiful (& steamy!) moments here - it's been a while since I've tabbed a romance this much! & I have to say, I loved all of the side characters - from Coach Lexie, to the adorable group of seniors Gavin played cards with, to the Galaxy team members, to the entire Bergman clan, everyone really added something to this story that made it that much more special.

A friend recently said that this series is like a warm hug & I couldn't agree more. I can't wait to go back & read these from the beginning, & I'll be eagerly anticipating whoever's story is next! (Please, please, PLEASE be Viggo - pranksters with a heart of gold are my weakness!) & thank you so much Chloe Liese & NetGalley for providing an ARC in exchange for a honest review!

Chloe Liese is a gem. I can’t decide if I loved Gavin or Oliver more but I reeeally love them together. An age gap, grumpy/sunshine, m/m romance with plenty of steam. Chronic pain and anxiety rep that I could relate to oh so much.

I simply adore the #BergmanBrothers Series and Book Five did not disappoint!
.
Oliver has had a crush on Gavin since he was a teenager. Gavin is a professional soccer player that gives off major Roy Kent Vibes, just saying. When Oliver and Gavin become teammates Oliver is disappointed to learn that Gavin is simply a grump, albeit a gorgeous grump.
.
When they are thrown together as co-captains they need to learn to work together and sparks quickly fly off the soccer pitch. I absolutely loved them and Gavin helping Oliver through a panic attack on a cross country flight gave me all the feelings!
.
I couldn’t love this book more or this entire series. If you haven’t read it yet be prepared to fall in love with this family. I loved that this book had a time jump that allowed me to catch up with my faves in the Bergman clan. I also love that this book has a Spotify playlist, especially Johnny Cash’s version of Personal Jesus!
.
Huge Thank you to @Netgalley for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review!

What I Liked: This series continues to be such a joy to read, and I find myself eagerly anticipating each new release. Each Bergman sibling is unique, and I’ve found myself enjoying their individual love stories. Liese has done a fantastic job of giving the reader enough information about the family so that when it’s time for the next sibling’s book you feel like you know them already. I already knew I liked Oliver from the small scenes he had been in before this, but this book made me love him. His personality was so unique and fun and a great antithesis to Gavin’s grumpiness. Leise does a good job showing us why Gavin is such a grump and how Oliver would be able to look past that to fall in love with him. As a fan of Ted Lasso, the parallels here are obvious but that just made me like this book more.

What I Didn’t Like: As a fan of the enemies to lovers to trope, the thing that makes the reader invested in the story is the progression of the relationship. In this book, we don’t get that. The initial meeting of Oliver and Gavin is only talked about, not seen, so we miss the initial moment of attraction hidden by hatred. In many ways, enemies to lovers is also a slow burn story and I felt that this story went too fast.

Who Should Read It: Existing fans of the Bergman Brothers series won’t be disappointed with this one and will want to continue the series after this but anyone looking for a sports romance will also enjoy this book. And while this is part of a series, it can easily be read as a standalone.

Review Wrap Up: Great banter, great chemistry, and great sex. What more can anyone ask for in a romance? As much as I loved the characters in this book and the overall story, I wish there was more to the enemies to lovers build up and we saw Oliver and Gavin’s initial meeting. Despite this issue, I would recommend this book for romance fans looking for a good sports themed story.

Favorite Quote: “We’re already proud of you. If you did nothing but exist the rest of your life, we’d be proud of you. Because you’re ours and we love you.”

"It is ok to be scared... I you feel ready, if he comes to you, tell him what you are afraid of. That is intimacy. Beeing brave in trusting him with your truth."

It was a really nice and tender slow burning story. I was so curious about couse I never read about such intimacy between two man. A sort of enemy to lovers romance but they were never really enemies. They were just afraid of love and receive love. It was addicted how they started and break the ice and went on. With learning step by step.

I was also glad to read about what happened to other Bergmans. I would love a little more about. Well it was Oliver's book. And now a long waiting for the next book in the series. Just two more. I miss them already.

Thank you Netgalley and Chloe Liese for this arc.

Trigger and Content Warnings: Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Sports Injuries, Sexual Content, Homophobia.

I received an e-arc of Everything For You by Chloe Liese via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This has in no way influenced my thoughts and feelings about the book.

This was one of my most anticipated reads of the year. And when I tell you I couldn’t keep a smile off my face while reading this, I’m not lying.

Everything For You by Chloe Liese follows Oliver Bergman as he tries to navigate his life-changing especially now that he has become co-captain with the one and only Gavin Hayes. Ever since Gavin has joined the team, his hate for Oliver is very much known. Now that they are thrown together in more than one circumstance, well it’s going to be fun. But there are a lot of emotional struggles that both Oliver and Gavin have been through and that is just scraping the surface.
Oliver is a fantastic protagonist. We’ve seen him grow a little throughout the series so far, but this book is his time to shine. I took a liking to Oliver right away, and this book really cemented that. He is charming, funny and just put a massive smile on my face throughout the whole book. But he also has his struggles. Oliver has his doubts, his anxieties and they do play a lot of the way that he lives his life.

Gavin was such an interesting protagonist and love interest. I didn’t know what to make of him at the start, but as soon as we got into his perspective. It was just fantastic. He is grumpy and wants to be by himself most of the time. But like Oliver he has his insurcruites and with him feeling like his body is giving up on him. He feels like he is failing.
Everything for You is a fantastic grumpy-sunshine romance that also has a little dislike to hate. And it was so well done. I wouldn’t call it real hate to love romance. But it doesn’t get past anyone that Gavin has a major dislike for Oliver. But this led to some amazing scenes between these two. From prank wars to sneaky friends these two don’t know what hits them.

The romance was just fantastic. I adore the way that Chloe Liese writes her couples and there is nothing different here. Oliver and Gavin have a lot of tension between them. Gavin was the person that Oliver looked up to when he was younger. Not just as a soccer player, but as someone who was out to the public. But then Oliver meets him and things aren’t that great. I think one of my favourite things about these two is while they are very different from one another together, they fit perfectly.

Most of the Bergman family make an appearance throughout Everything for You and gosh I loved seeing that so much. To see where they are now. What is happening in their lives? It just made me so happy. They also got up to a lot of mischief in this book and I’m so glad that it was in there. It also made me really excited for the last two books in this series.

The only thing I have to note here. I wasn’t able to tell how long it had been between books. Working out how much time had passed is something I struggle with a lot. And there were times when I was confused here.
One of the main reasons why I love Chloe Liese’s books so much is the quality of disability rep that she has in her books. It’s not just thrown in there and adding nothing to the book. It’s part of their characters, their lives, and their story. It doesn’t take over who they are, but it makes them, them. It just makes for such a good read.

Overall, Everything For You by Chloe Liese is just fantastic. I smiled the whole way through it and I didn’t want it to end. Oliver and Gavin were fantastic together and their character arcs were just spot on. This is a brilliant sports romance that highlights mental health and also explores changes in life. If you have read the rest of the Bergman books you are going to love this one. If you haven’t, I beg you to start the series.

Chloe Liese is a new auto buy author for me for sure! I loved Oliver and Gavin. They were so fun to read and I loved the grumpy/sunshine part of them. Like her other books, I appreciate her talking about disability awareness and issues the characters have a deal with. I also love the Bergman family so much! They are so much fun. Already ready for whatevee book Chloe puts out next!
