I NEVER WANT THIS SERIES TO END.

Anyways. This novel is full of tropes in the best way and I just loved Gavin and Oliver so much and obviously the background Bergman characters. We get grumpy/sunshine, forced proximity, workplace romance, dislike to love, ONLY ONE BED, and probably even more.

I just love the care and kindness Chloe shows her characters and her books always feel like a safe space.

I will say the Ted Lasso-ness of this felt a bit heavy handed at times, like a few specific details from the show seem to be in the book as well, which was fine, but I didn't love. I adore Ted Lasso, but in the beginning the characters felt very much like their Ted Lasso counterparts.

But, as I've said with every sequel in this series, Chloe's writing just keeps getting better and better. I cannot wait for the next two siblings' books but also I don't want this series to end.

Trigger warning: Fairly graphic MM sexual situations.

This was a fun read, an enemies to lovers, grumpy/sunshine AND one bed sports romance starring Bergman brother Oliver and his Galaxy teammate Gavin. Oliver has had a crush on Gavin since he was a teenager and Gavin was a huge star in England. When he leaves England to play for the LA Galaxy, he coincidentally moves in next door to Oliver.

They say don’t meet your heroes lest you be disappointed, and Oliver is surprised that Gavin is a grumpy guy who gives him a hard time, not realizing that Gavin is in chronic pain. Oliver is butterscotch and sunshine except when his crippling anxiety kicks in. I loved watching these two work out their issues and finally open up to each other.

It’s always a treat to visit the Bergman family, full of pranks and love. I’m a soccer fan so I liked all the game descriptions too. I highly recommend this book, 5 stars.

Blurb:

Gavin
We’ve been teammates for two years, but it feels like a lifetime that Oliver Bergman’s been on my last nerve. A demanding captain and veteran player, I’m feared and friendless, while he’s the beloved rising star, all sunshine smiles and upbeat team spirit. To make matters worse, he’s obscenely attractive. In short: he’s genetically designed to get under my skin.

Avoiding Oliver has been my survival tactic on and off the field. But when Coach drops the bomb that we’re now co-captains, avoiding him becomes impossible, and keeping the truth from him–let alone my distance–is harder than ever.

Oliver
Life was great until soccer legend Gavin Hayes joined the team and proved he’s nothing like the guy I grew up idolizing. Instead, he’s a giant–albeit gorgeous–grump who lives to rain on my parade. I’ve sworn off pranks since entering the public eye, so rather than settle our differences the Bergman way, I’ve had to settle for killing Gavin with kindness. There’s just one problem: killing him with kindness is killing me.

To make matters worse, Coach gives us an ultimatum: put an end to our enmity or say goodbye to being captains. I’m prepared to be miserable while we meet her demands and make nice, but the last thing I expect is to discover an explosive attraction we can’t help but act on, and worse yet, to realize the man hiding beneath Gavin’s gruff exterior is all I’ve ever wanted.

Everything for You is a grumpy-sunshine, enemies-to-lovers, age gap sports romance about an upbeat rising soccer star with anxiety and his curmudgeonly veteran teammate who lives with chronic pain. Complete with nosy senior citizens, nosier siblings, and a meddling coach, this standalone slow burn is the fifth in a series of novels about a Swedish-American family of five brothers, two sisters, and their wild adventures as they each find happily ever after.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Chloe Liese books are always a delight so I knew I was in for a good time when I picked this one up and I was right! I swear, her writing just continues to get better and more magical with every book! This is by far my favourite of the series.

We didn’t get to see too much of Oliver until now so really getting to know him was a blast. He suffers from anxiety but tends to hide it pretty well so those more vulnerable moments tore at my heart. The scene with his teammates and Gavin!!! So sweet.

I loved Gavin. I suffer from chronic pain too so I could really sympathize and connect with him especially when he was a big grump. His relationship with Oliver was my favourite! Their banter, their pranks and grumpy/sunshine vibes just always made me so happy. Their softer moments too, ugh honestly my heart couldn’t take it! These two were just too sweet.

Chloe Liese again did a phenomenal job having us fall for these characters on their own as individuals and then ultimately together in a relationship. There’s so much family, love, friendship and trust and it’s all done so well. I adored this book. If you haven’t started the Bergman Brothers series yet, what are you waiting for??

5/5⭐️

This book made me feel so damn happy!!

When I found out Oliver's book would be m/m I just couldn't have been any happier.

What do you get when you throw together a sunshine, rainbows & lollipop kinda guy with the grumpiest, grouchy grouch? You get all the feels. That's right, all the feels!!!!

Everything for You made my heart squeeze in the most exhilarating of ways. The butterflies of excitement just took it to a whole new level.

I have loved this series from book 1 and just cannot get enough. Eagerly awaiting the next book.

Mein Leseerlebnis

Chloe Liese did it again. I’ve been looking forward to Oliver’s story for so long, and I am not exaggerating when I say I could not put this down.

After a bad break-up in college, Oliver swore that he would never let romance get in the way of his soccer career again. He also swore off pranks since entering the public eye. Both of these get more difficult when Gavin Hayes, a gorgeous grump that Oliver has been idolizing since he was a teenager, joins his team.

They don’t get along. Not at all. So, Oliver’s tactic has been to kill Gavin with kindness, and Gavin’s has been to ignore Oliver. But when their Coach makes them co-captains and forces them to get along, just smiling and keeping their distance proves impossible, and as they’re forced to spend more time together, so is ignoring the intense attraction between them.

From the first chapter, I was immediately wrapped up in the warm, comforting hug that is the Bergman series, and I pushed off all other responsibilities, so I wouldn’t have to leave it. I loved this novel for so many of the things that Chloe Liese does well. There is so much humor and wit between Oliver and Viggo’s prank war, Oliver’s pranks on Gavin, and Gavin’s poker nights with his senior friends. The Bergman family dynamics and the slow burn, of course, gave me all the feels. I loved being able to see the other siblings’ relationships evolve, and Oliver’s relationship with his niece was so sweet.

Then, of course, there’s Oliver and Gavin’s relationship. The tension and chemistry between Oliver and Gavin are so amazing, and the grumpy/sunshine vibes are impeccable. Chloe Liese writes enemies to lovers so well, and watching them take care of each other when they’re at their worst, even despite their antagonist relationship, was truly a joy to read. My heart melted every time Gavin helped Oliver through his anxiety and panic attacks, or Oliver took care of Gavin when he was having a particularly bad day with his chronic pain.

Every time a new Bergman book comes out, I end up saying that it’s my favorite because these truly do get better as the series goes on. If you’re looking for a book with fantastic chemistry, witty banter, non-toxic masculinity, and realistic representation, I definitely recommend Everything for You.

Thank you, NetGalley and Chloe Liese, for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Chloe Liese does it again with Everything for You! As someone who deals with chronic pain, the way it was handled in the book made me feel so seen.

The romance between the two leads felt so real and genuine and hard fought. You won't want to put this book down.

The latest in this series.
Oliver and Gavin have been on the same football team for a couple of years, but have never got on. Both are hiding their true feelings from the other, and when the coach forces them to spend time together will they give in and admit how they really feel?
Great read, looking forward to the next book in the series.

I just adored everything about this book!

I just love Oliver and all the Bergmans!

The chemistry between Oliver and his teammate, who he's crushed on since he was a teen, Gavin is intense. It's the enemies to lovers feel, where you can feel the undercurrent of attraction but they are trying to ignore it.

The slow burn as they have to work together as co-captains.

The bonding over Hamilton and Lin Manuel lyrics, cause same.

The intense chronic pain and being scared to let go and move on to the next chapter of life. To let yourself fall in love or to be loved when you have never had it.

As usual so many feels!!

I love the huge family dynamic and how they as usual have helped in bringing this relationship together. And the little ones and the weddings, I'm giddy! Viggo, I can't wait for your turn!!

Oh and I'm Team mega color, you should see how my kids dress!

OMG so many tropes!!
⚽Age gap
⚽Workplace romance
⚽Grumpy Sunshine
⚽Enemies to lovers
⚽Close proximity
⚽One Bed
⚽M/M
⚽Intense chemistry
⚽Anxiety and chronic pain rep

Thank you victoryeditingngc and netgalley for the e-ARC for my honest and voluntary review.

My heart fell for Chloe Liese’s writing from the very first book in the Bergman series, and it has only soared from there.

In Ollies book, Chloe so beautifully puts into words how two incredibly different people can be so incredibly right for each other. Ollie is a sweet, bubbly sunshine. Gavin is a dark clouded grump, through and through. Despite what we see on the outside, both boys suffer from their own demons on the inside. It shows that people truly are never who they seem to be. Ted Lasso has become a show near and dear to my heart, and this story is for any Ted Lasso fan. It reminds you how beautiful people can be, it reminds you of solidarity and inclusion, and overall, it reminds you of love. Truly a story that feels like a great big bear hug.

Let me just start by saying I love Chloe Liese's books. Each book I've read in this serious becomes my new favorite and this one was no different. The sexual tension was great and my only quibble is that the reason for their being enemies frustrated me as a lack of communication. The meddling coach reminded me of Aiden meddling in an earlier book which annoyed me both times but in a lovable way.

Loved. Loved. Loved. I’m left with a perma smile from this hug of a book.

Everything For You was just what my heart needed.
Grumpy and sunshine ✔️
Only one bed ✔️
Enemies to lovers ✔️
M/M ✔️
Sports romance ✔️
Family shenanigans ✔️
Chronic pain and anxiety rep ✔️
And so much more!

Gavin is everything I could have wanted for Ollie. They were such a wonderful complement to each other, bringing out the best in the other while providing a safe place to land when the pain or anxiety took front seat. I can’t wait to see how Ollie continues to disrupt Gavin’s monochromatic world - this is me putting it out into the universe that these 2 need to appear in the last books.

This books is like Ted Lasso and Roy Kent both played soccer and fell in love with each other... and I am 100% here for it.

While not my favorite of this series, I can't get enough of the Bergmans answer this is a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read. Chloe Leise can do no wrong and I will read anything she writes. The care she takes for these books shines through these pages and make for such enjoyable read.

The Bergman family is one of my favorite literary families in recent history. I've immensely enjoyed every book, and appreciated how Chloe Liese includes such a diverse range of representation in her novels. This book itself touches on chronic pain and panic attacks, as well as queer rep. And I did enjoy this book, but unfortunately, this was not my favorite Bergman brother book.

The relationship we focus on between two teammates on the same professional soccer team felt under-developed. There is a time jump at the beginning of the book, skipping over the introduction of these two characters, and glossing over the reason behind their initial animosity. It left me feeling like the development of their attraction and subsequent relationship was rushed and based upon nothing of substance.

My favorite part of this book was seeing glimpses of past Bergman relationships, which I feel heavily invested in.

Tropes: sunsine/grump, enemies to lovers, only one bed.
For fans of: workplace romance, large family casts, professional athletes

Enemy to lovers with a slow, slow, slow burn ... done so well. "Everything for You" was such a fantastic novel with a MM love story that gave us laughter, tears, frustration, hope, and a pretty fantastic ending.

Oliver and Gavin are as different as night and day. They clash on and off the soccer field. Liese weaved their vastly different personalities throughout the novel, allowing readers to watch both of them grow as individuals and partners. As book 5 in the "Bergman Series", you get cameos from each of the Bergmans, reminding me of how much I love these characters and series.

I adored Chloe's writing, her storytelling, and am so glad I get to explore heavier topics in her novels. She handles them so well, with humor and grace.

I ALWAYS look forward to Chloe’s sports romances and the Bergman family 🥰⁣⁣

This wasn’t too heavy on the sports for anyone who is slightly turned off by that!⁣

Everything for You features two athletes at slightly different parts of their professional soccer career.⁣ I really enjoyed the perspective of an older athlete dealing with the years of their professional playing career. Pain is soooo real and not spoken about as much!

I grew up a LA Galaxy fan dating back to the Beckham and Donovan days 💫

tropes:⁣
❤️ grumpy & sunshine⁣
❤️ enemies to lovers⁣
❤️ age gap romance⁣
❤️ MM romance⁣
❤️ soccer romance⁣
❤️ teammate romance⁣
❤️ only one bed⁣

The Bergman fam had its appearances and it felt like a huge reunion ☺️🤍⁣

I’m excited for the two remaining siblings & books!

Chlow Liese has just become an auto-buy author for me! I have loved every book I've read by her (Bergman brother's series and her earlier novels), and Everything For You was no exception!

Read this if you like:
- grumpy/sunshine & I hate that I love you trope
- sports romance (soccer!)
- M/M romance
- close proximity & one bed trope
- age-gap
- dual POV
- mental health & chronic pain awareness

I'm embarrassed to say that I hadn't thought too much about Oliver in the other books of this series and I am so glad that Chloe gave him his own book because I absolutely fell in love with his character here! Gavin and Oliver together is just *chef's kiss*!

I once again wish I was a real life member of the Bergman clan, but since that isn't possible, I'm just excited that there are still more books coming in this series!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for a review copy of this book. All opinions are my own!
