The art a d storyline were amazing. I'm so glad to learn about the multiverse and it's diverse heroes. Representation matters, seeing heroes like yourself are important. I hope to read more of Invincika's story.
I wanted to like this book, but I could not get past the glaring issues with editing. The book reads like a second edit of the novel. I may be wrong, but it reads like the author is not fluent in English, as the flow and meter of the sentences along with word choices are jarring.
I'm a sucker for superheroes and reading something like this feels refreshing and lighthearted, even more when it's not a typical white hero. I loved Ulka's journey in this book, and her way to control her powers. However, some action scenes were rushed and I was left desiring more. I liked the pacing because it was fast (or perhaps because I love superheroes as well, haha). And definitely I'm waiting for the second book!
I received an ARC copy for an open and honest review.
I really liked this book and I read it in 1 evening. I enjoyed the differing powers of the sigmas and I thought Ulka was well fleshed out.
I enjoyed the rivalry between characters and I look forward to continuing Ulkas journey in the 2nd book.
Whilst I liked the characters, I felt there were too many big fights which ment they felt rushed - I would have loved to have more time spent on the asteroid as it was an interesting concept.
I don't feel that there was enough background to justify Mohitas hatred - it would have been beneficial to have a more detailed 'Why'.
Overall the story held my attention and I really enjoyed it.
