The 24 Hour Dating Agency was a fun book. As someone who has also been on and off all the dating apps for the past few years, I could totally relate to these characters. There are 3 main characters - Saffie - a single journalist, Tamara - a single mom of 3 and Milo - Saffie's best friend who has just been dumped. They end up seeing an ad for a "24 hour dating agency" where a match maker will fix them up with "the one" or their money back. A few of them are skeptical but the three of them try to find it out. Saffie is the most skeptical of the whole experience and thinks she will just use it to write an article about the dating agency, but when she seems to fall for her match, she changes her mind. Tamara gets matched with a ventriloquist who at first she is unsure of, but decides to spend more time with him anyway and Milo gets matched with an ex from his younger days.
There are a lot of twists and turns in this story and it was a fun quick read and now I am off to find a 24 Hour Dating agency in my area because the way they had to decode and figure out the places they are going on their dates seemed like a lot of fun!
I received a free e-copy of this book in order to write this review and I was not otherwise compensated.

I m really sorry. I aked for this book but it never went to netgalley shelf so i didn t read it. I hoped i had the chance. I can t give you much feedback then ..

I enjoyed this a lot more than I thought I would! It started off a bit slowly but as I got into it, I loved all the main characters and the author did such a good job of focusing on each character with enough detail and I didn’t see some of the twists that came along which made reading this all the more pleasant. The writing was fab, can’t wait to read more from this author.

It was a fun and cute read, a bit cheesy for my tastes. We has 3 different povs what was good, seeing different prestectives and feelings. it was an overall good book.

This book was so unbelievably adorable! It easily surpasses the usual rom-com because we follow three main characters on their journeys to find love. The twists and conflicts kept the story moving at a good pace and I really felt thrown for a loop at times not expecting things to play out the way they do. Also, what’s better than not only getting one HEA, but three?! All in all, I was th0rougly impressed with this book and can't wait to purchase a copy to have on my shelves and photograph for my bookstagram to shout my love for Baker!

Saffie has tried every dating app there is and she’s about ready to give up. Her best friend Milo has just been dumped again and has no idea how to find Mr Right. Their boss Tamara is a single mum who has been on her own for years. The absent father of her children is about to get married and have another child and suddenly, he wants to get to know the children he already has. Enter a dating service that sends matches on an intense 24 hour long date and gives your money back if you don’t fall in love. There’s no way this could work, right? This cute unique rom-com has some truly loveable, flawed characters. Tamara and Harry are definitely my favourites! There is a lovely, magical tinge to the ending of this novel which champions found family, community and collaboration. I devoured it!

Sometimes when it comes to love, we don't know what's good for us - but the 24 hr Dating Agency does! The three main characters in this story have yet to be convinced. Teamed up with the least likely dates in the world, none of them thinks they have found true love. But romance has other ideas, despite the many obstacles in its way.
Lively, funny, and often unexpected, this story is lighthearted and engaging, and left me with a lovely warm glow at the end.

WOAH!!
This concept is so amazing. I wish it existed in real life. I'd love reread this book time and again.
I think it is the characters that rely grab the reader, and that's exactly what thia book did to me. The three main characters- Milo, Saffie, and Tamara are brilliant. Not to mention the side characters (Tam's kids, her ex husband, everyone's love interests.)
There a perfect blend of casual humor, emotions, love, and so much more. If you're looking for beautiful, comforting, cozy read, pick this up.

This book surprised me. I was expecting a rom com but it was so much more than that. It was funny and light-hearted with characters I found myself loving. The concept of this book was fresh and different and unlike any other rom-com i have read before!

Oh I loved this one - it was so cute and heartwarming and exactly what I imagined when I decided to read it.
I like the fact it’s unusually from three points of view but doesn’t get confusing at all, I like the realism of the characters and being able to imagine the situations. I found it easy to read and addictive and really entertaining. If you need a light hearted witty read then definitely pick this up next!

Okay this is a really fun book! Love the concept. The book follows three characters, which at times can feel like a lot. But there is a lot going on and all the story lines are great!

I have to say that I really did enjoy this book. The concept had me drawn in but the book is so much more than a dating book or your usual romance. The story features deep complex relationships between friends, family, ex-husbands, new families and how life isn’t always how you planned it. The friendship between Saffie, Milo and Tammy is the solid ground that is book is built on. The characters were all so loveable and you always felt for them at each point in the story. Thanks to Mary and Head of Zeus for the advanced copy.

Really fun easy read. Really interesting premise and says what it does on the tin.
I think this would make a great rom-com but it doesn't really offer anything different from what I've read of this type of book before

This was a unique read. It was fun. It was light and it kept my attention throughout the book.
I loved how three friends who join a dating agency with the promise to find your soulmate once your time has run out. It was a great read. I haven't been in the dating world really which I'm glad because in real life, I've heard it sucks but this allowed the reader to leave the real world and enjoy Milo, Saffie and Tamara's world for a little while and their experience.
Loved it, thanks to Mary Jayne Baker and Netgalley for allowing me access to this book.

Blurb
Tinder, Hinge, Bumble – thirtysomething journalist Saffie has tried them all. Now she's wondering whether it's time to throw in the towel and give up on love for good – and she's not alone...
Saffie's boss Tamara has been single since her divorce four years ago, but at forty-five, running her own magazine and with three kids at home, she doesn't feel she has the time, energy or confidence to go through the dating mill again. Meanwhile, Saffie's best friend Milo has just been dumped – again. A hopeless romantic with terrible taste in men, this is his fourth break-up in six months. There must be a secret to finding Mr Right, surely – but what?
Step forward The 24-hour Dating Agency, a matchmaking service with a difference. Instead of wasting months on casual dates, they promise to send you on an intense twenty-four-hour date with your perfect match – like speed-dating but in reverse. And even better, the agency offers a soulmate guarantee: meet The One or your money back.
My Opinion
Well this was a different read - there were some unique ideas in the book but for me it didn't manage to hold my attention as there was too much information in places. It is a light read and was funny in places but just not the book for me unfortunately.
Rating 3/5

A date that lasts 24 hours! That is what you sign up for and man it was interesting. The time felt longer and i didn't want it to end. Mary Jayne did a great job with this book. She made me question why there isn't a dating app like this already!

Please as someone who is FED UP with dating apps, I knew I had to have a go at this book!
Three friends who work for a newspaper decide to sign up for a 24 hour dating agency that promise that after the time limit - you'll find your soulmate. It's such a silly idea I couldn't wait to read it! If only dating was that easy!
The three friends (mid-late 30s -40s) couldn't be more different if they tried
Milo - homosexual man who's decided he's already dated all of the eligible bachelors
Saffie - has never been in love
Tamara - divorced with three children.
The story was unique and enjoyable but was a lot to follow along with each character's dates as well as their job.

This was a cute story about 3 friends who start a dating agency. Given the rise in people using matchmakers (including some personal friends), I thought it was a fun premise. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book

I would firstly like to thank Netgalley and the publishers for allowing me the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.
A cute story! Enjoyable, sweet, light but very predictable. A great read if you don't think too much into it.

I really enjoyed this book. It is one of a few that I've read on dating apps/ new ways of dating and it certainly stood out as being very quirky and original.
I enjoyed the writing style and was hooked from the start, the storyline moves at a perfect pace and the characters held my attention throughout.
I read this book in a day and would definitely recommend it as a light-hearted, fun read.
