A quick and easy read that I found myself picking up after a long day to unwind. The characters are beautifully written and I came to love them within the first few pages and was rooting for them all the way to the end. At times I wanted to stop reading because I just wanted the experience to go on for longer.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

24 Hour Dating Service by Mary Jayne Baker. Thank you to Netgalley and HeadofZeus for this e-arc!

I thought this was a really cute read! It's very relatable for those who are out dating on the field. I enjoyed that it followed 3 growths who signed up for the dating agency and their povs.

Synopsis
Tinder, Hinge, Bumble - thirtysomething event organiser Charlie has tried them all but now she's wondering whether it's time to throw the towel in and give up on love for good.

Newly divorced Tamara, Charlie's boss, is keen to meet someone new, but at forty-three, running her own company and with two pre-teen kids, she doesn't feel she has either the time or the energy to go through the dating mill again. Meanwhile, Charlie's brother Milo has just had his heart broken - again. A hopeless romantic with terrible taste in men, this is his third breakup in as many months. Surely there must be a secret to finding Mr Right - but what?

Step forward The 24-hour Dating Agency, a match-making service with a difference. Instead of wasting months on casual dates they promise to find you the one through an intense twenty-four hours date - speed-dating but in reverse and even better, the agency boasts a 100% success rate.

Figuring they have nothing to lose, the three friends decide to sign up. But when one of their dates turns out to be an undercover journalist researching the dating agency's unique approach for a feature, it looks as though one of them, at least, is headed for heartbreak. Or are they?

Great romantic comedy - A comedy version of the thriller by John Marrs - There is one person for everyone
well-written characters, with distinctive personalities - opposites attract
An advocate for blind dating as you cant form pre-conceived opinions
I think it would be lovely if the author writes novellas based on the separate couples within the novel to explore their future in detail.

The complicated family dynamics/parenting issues are so relatable and heartwarming, that you even end up rooting for the flawed characters, this is a result of the authors writing and her in-depth character exploration.

I will definitely read more Mary Jane Baker books in the future #netgalley #24hrdatingagency

Dating in your thirties or older can be a real struggle, in this book we follow the storry of Saffie, her best mate Milo and his sister Tamara's struggle to find love. They sign up for this new dating agency called "The 24 hour dating agency" - This one promisies a happily ever after.

This book was such a treat to read! I really do find that I enjoy the multiple point of view books,, it's a great way to learn each character more in depth. Over all the multiple story lines really did a great job telling this super cute love story! I'm a big fan of a slow burn and this was such a unique take on that with the experimental dating method. The relationships were complex and explored real life situations that authors don't usually explore. I would be remiss to not mention that this is an LGBTQ friendly book, and this is a fantastic realistic addition to the book I definitely recommend as a fun and heart warming read!

THE 24 HOUR DATING AGENCY follows three friends, and coworkers, as they navigate life’s ups and downs. All 3 of the main characters are having trouble in their love lives for different reasons, so they all decide to sign up for the 24 Hour Dating Agency, which guarantees an intense 24 hour date with their perfect match.

This book was very bingeable, and I enjoyed that while it looked at each of the three main characters romantic lives, it also focuses on their friendships, work and personal lives as well.

I was invested in the outcome of each of their stories by the end. Despite having 3 main characters, it felt well paced and that I got to know all of the characters.

Thank you Head of Zeus and NetGalley for the eARC in exchange for an honest review.

📖📖📖

One 24 hour date with someone who promised to be your perfect match. That’s the promise of the 24hr dating agency. Saffie, Milo and Tamara agree to give it a shot due to their disastrous luck with the modern dating scene. Can they find the love promised to them or will it be 24 hours of pure torture?

Le sigh. Another mediocre book. While this one did get better I don’t think it ever fully recovery from the painfully slow start. The concept was interesting but I didn’t care about the characters and that sunk the book for me. This is a skipper.

This was not the book for me. The synopsis seemed so promising, but I felt like it was disjointed and very dialogue-heavy. I couldn’t focus at all on the text and unfortunately DNFed it. Giving two stars because I did make it 22% of the way in and would entertain picking it up at a later date - it just didn’t capture my attention at all.

Very cute story with enemies to lovers. First half kinda dragged on a bit but the last half was fun. I really enjoyed the characters and the storyline.

Speed dating in reverse. A cute idea with a spin on modern dating. It took a little bit to get into the story and connect with the characters, but I am glad I stuck it out. It was a unique story and I really enjoyed it.

This book took a couple of chapters to get into but once I did I couldn't put it down. I read the whole book in 2 days once I got into it. I got so invested in each character but mainly Tamara and andys story. It is definitely worth a read and it's so well written. The individual story's that all tie into one just grip you and to top it off I love when books do a few months later bit as I hate not knowing what happens to the characters. This book did just that. I got to find out what happened to saffie milo and Tamara which made the end of the book so much better.

I didn’t mind this book. The second half of it was actually quite enjoyable. But the slow start really kept me from enjoying this book as much as I could have.

Saffie, Tamara, and Milo are all frustrated with dating. Saffie is sick of endless first dates with mediocre men, Milo is done feeling like nobody is “right” for him, and Tamara doesn’t have the energy for dating with three kids and an ex-husband who doesn’t pull his weight. The three work together on a small but fun magazine that has been in Tamara’s family for generations, and while they are all passionate about their jobs, they are thrown for a loop when Tamara’s cousin comes in and changes their entire workplace dynamic. The three then decide to just go all in and see what would happen if they signed up for what is advertised as a 24 hour dating agency - one 24 hour date with someone promised to be your perfect match.

I loved all three of the main characters. Tamara was an absolute badass mom who knew what was important to her and why she acted the way she did, Milo was hilarious and determined in finding his happiness, and Saffie had well structured character development that made me truly care about her. All three of them were unique, well written, and relatable. I cared about them and rooted for them once I had gotten to know them.

Where I had a hard time with this book was getting into it in the beginning. The first chapter seems interesting but did not carry through to the rest of the book and felt like an attention grab that didn’t hold me. It took me a good few chapters to know what was going on with each character and even longer to care. I did get there, but it took longer than I thought it should have.

Overall, I’m not mad at this book. The characters were well formed and I cared about them once I got to know them, and I was rooting for their love stories. It wasn’t my favorite read of 2022, but I’m glad I read it.

Thank you to NetGalley and to Head of Zeus for sending me this book for review!

Thankyou so much netgalley for the opportunity to read this. It was an okay read once you get into it, however I did find it pretty hard to get to that point so took me a while to finish the book and my time was not invested into this book.

I had high hopes for this book but it just was not for me. It was very hard to get into and to maintain all of my focus. The synopsis was really good but the execution was not.

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book.

A fun cast of characters with a twist on modern dating. I loved the concept of the 24 Hour Dating Agency and the touch of mystery and matching that came along with it. I also really liked that the book focuses on the private struggles of all three of our main characters outside of work; however, for a brief time it does kind of feel like there’s a little much going on before we even get to the dates. Despite that brief concern, I did truly look forward to seeing how each of our characters would overcome their personal struggles and possibly find love. I would actually be really interested in seeing this 24 Hour Dating Agency through the eyes of another cast of characters as well.

Unfortunately, at the time of reading this I just honestly couldn’t connect with it. I will try again in the future and will review on other platforms - however for now, this is a DNF from me.

Thanks to NetGalley and Head of Zeus, Atria for letting me read this book in exchange for an honest review.

This was a light and kinda funny romantic book so with other words is this book a rom-com.

It contains family problem, new family dynamics, missunderstandings, humor, dates, love and love problems which is what I enjoy reading about in a rom-com.

The story was really good and I liked that it was told from 3 persons views. Even though I can't relate to the characters love life or lack of it it was kinda funny to read about the dates. I also liked how the three characters stories tied into the mainstory very well.

My favourite character in this one was Tamara, who kinda is the main character boss, and her journey.

If you want something light and funny with romance in it who really isn't like something else I have read then this book might just be for you.

I thought this was the perfect little beach read. As someone who has been through the trenches with internet dating, it was extremely relatable and everything was hit with a nail on the head. The characters were super cute and the chemistry was there and written very well. I enjoyed!
