What a perfect story and wonderful setting on a lovely island. Great characters well described and entertaining, I give this 5 stars and please read this and enjoy it as I have done.
Thanks to Netgalley and publisher for this ARC
A lovely backdrop to romance blossoming for this couple who met through chance. Pleasantly written and easy to keep you interested to keep turning the pages. Comforting dialogue which makes you feel you are one of their friends living on the island. A lovely book to take on holiday. Only issue it finished too soon!
Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.
I loved reading this book, such a lovely, sweet, story.
Set in a B&B, I loved the island the story is set on.
The way Alex and Piper interacted with each other and their family was also lovely, as were the characters, especially the grandparents.
I recommend this book.
Finding Love on Sunshine Island by Georgina Troy is a sweet romance in a contemporary setting on one of the English channel islands.
I liked the characters, the setting was beautiful and came to life with Ms. Troy's descriptive writing, and the secondary characters also had their own stories which were woven within the budding romance between Piper and Alex. A charming and easy afternoon read.
a quick read and a cute story, would be a great beach read, looking foward to more by this author. I read this in one afternoon.
I thought this was a very cute story, although a bit boring and long winded. I liked the story itself and want to continue reading the series, however, I felt there was a lot of information dumping and not a lot of plot. I give this 3.5/5 stars.
Thank you Netgalley for this ARC for an exchange for an honest review.
Loved it, highly recommend it.
Perfect easy quick read summer beach book. Nice setting, easy to get on with characters. Take it on your hols. Thank you netgalley for the advanced copy
I really liked this romantic, sweet story! The characters were enjoyable and easy to like. I really enjoy light reads like this one. I wanted to stay the Island and never leave! I highly recommend this book!
What a lovely story. A slow burn romance set at a B&B on an island in the English Channel. I loved the interactions between Alex and Piper along with the secondary characters. And, as always, I’m a sucker for a HEA.
I really enjoyed this book, great likeable characters easy to read , i hope this becomes a series i will be reading more by this author.
A real easy read and quick to finish! The story flowed was a delight to read. Thank you for the advance copy.
This is another really splendid Georgina Troy book. Georgina really knows how to write a really wonderful, feel good romantic storyline and I just loved it.
This book was super charming, light and warm from the very beginning. I was immediately transported to the setting and found myself itching to get to the island! The characters were likeable and the storyline was believable. Really enjoyed it!
Welcome to the Sunshine Island - where the beaches are golden, the lifestyle is perfect and anything is possible.
Piper Le Brocq is happily single after the disastrous ending of her engagement eighteen months before. The only man in her life is Jax, her best friend and cousin, who spends his life teaching locals how to forage and taking tourists on boat trips around the island. Her days are filled with helping out at her mother's guest house and selling her glass mosaics at The Cabbage Patch emporium in Trinity.
Piper loves living on the Sunshine Island, where the neighbours look out for each other and visitors are welcome. So, when handsome guest Alex Cooper arrives at the guest house to check up on his grandfather, she welcomes him to the sunny island. And when he needs help after his grandfather is injured, she's quick to get involved.
Yet, the more she gets to know Alex the more mysterious he seems, and Alex isn't the only one keeping secrets from her. Great characters, great storyline. I kept turning the pages instead of turning off the light! This is one intense and addictive novel! Not only is this a very well-written book with wonderfully-interesting characters, but the suspense builds at just the right pace as the story unfolds.
An excellent start to a new series from Georgina Troy.
I love that you are guaranteed a channel island setting from this author and once more she delivers in describing a location that sounds wonderful.
And I really enjoyed getting to know Piper and her family.
Especially when her gran has a surprise meeting with a blast from her past and discovering some lesser known family history.
And there is Alex who I really liked too. He's just a nice guy who happens to be visiting the island.
This is a gentle escape to a sunny location that I thoroughly enjoyed reading.
Thank you to Boldwood Books and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.
This was such a nice ‘short and sweet’ romance read! I loved the setting Troy built and especially liked the inclusion of a close-knit familial relationship between the three main women. I enjoyed the plot and especially more of the conflicts and more exciting parts towards the end of the book, but there wasn’t as much excitement towards the beginning. I did really like piper and alex’s relationship throughout!
Thank you to netgalley and the author for the arc of this book.
This was such a sweet and charming book! I really enjoyed the setting and characters! I liked it so much that I finished it in one sitting! This is definitely a great summer beach read!
Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for this arc!
A quick, easy and cute read that I finished in one sitting. Well written with a compelling storyline, welll developed characters and a stunning setting. I really enjoyed it.
I want to first thank Boldwood Books for the ARC of this book. I am sadly giving it a 2.5/5 stars though.
I want to start with the positives! I loved the setting. This gorgeous island of the coast of England, and this super cute B&B is dreamy! I’m a sucker if a good sunset and this author did a great job at help the reader really picture the scenery.
Unfortunately it felt like there was a lot of American dialogue in what was supposed to be a British Island. It may be picky be it made it hard to connect to at time. Specifically there was a mention to 40 miles per hour which I would have expected to be 40 kilometers per hour.
There was also a spot in the book were they mentioned that if these cousin weren’t related they would be a perfect romantic match and that really turned me off.
Over all I was bored though 90% of the book and every important happens at the end which ultimately led to little build up and I lot things that I could guess.
I do think this would be a good book who wants a relaxing coastal setting.
