I liked this book and I loved the examples that they used to describe feelings. I do think that in the American market, fickle that we are, some of the pictures will not go over well with adults. I will recommend this book to my case worker to place in the Foster Parent Library as I do think this is a great book to help with children's feelings.
This is a very sweet book for children about all the emotions that a person feels and how each of them are different and react differently to things.
It’s very sweet and very easy for children to understand.
I thought this book was adorable, it talks about all of the emotions and personifies them. The illustrations were beautiful. Only 4 stars because my 5 year old said she didn't like it that much.
The art style is delightful! All of the emotions are characterised in such a cute way, I can’t even choose a favourite. I think this would be a lovely read to help a younger child understand their emotions and the different words for their feelings. Whilst there are not many words, the illustrations say plenty!
A beautiful book to help children understand the importance of different feelings. I love how the feelings are given actions.
A charming book with the most endearing illustrations and explanations or descriptions of the myriad of emotions that reside within us. Children and adults alike will love this relatable book.
'What Feelings Do When No One Is Looking' by Tina Oziewicz is an incredible book for children to understand the most basic human emotions. The illustration is impeccable and goes very well with the text. Each line used to describe each emotion is written in a simple yet poetic way that puts across the thoughts very clearly.
What Feelings Do When No One's Looking is a little book filled with big feelings. Through whimsical illustration and thoughtful prose you will become acquainted with a handful of emotions and the different ways they can manifest. This story is masterful in the sense it can be as deep as you need it to be. It is one you can return to again and again, each time gleaning different lessons from its pages.
Beautiful and thought provoking this book will be beloved by adults and children alike!
A thoughtful book with beautiful illustrations in the most pleasing cool colour palette. It will be a great way to start many mindful conversations with the little ones and will certainly make for a lovely gift. Being neurodivergent myself, I feel like there is something inherently calm and soothing about this little book which makes me think it would be appropriate for little neurodivergent readers.
A magical wee book!
What Feelings Do When No One's Looking was a really lovely book about feelings being like creatures, who pursue their own adventures consistent with their descriptions. The illustrations reminded me of Where the Wild Things Are. Beautiful!

Thanks Netgalley to providing me with such charming book.
Wonderful picture book with awesome illustrations. I love a good with monsters and inner emotions. What I love the most about this one is that it doesn't focus only on positive feelings or negative ones. There is a good balance and they are all whimsical. For example: "Insecurities build cages." and "Trust builds bridges." ... Right?
Right to the point.
Read it once and look at the fun illustrations. Then read it again and think about each one. It started many deep conversations in this house. A really good conversation starter to read with both children and teens.
