Let me start by saying I am a complete beginner when it comes to Macramé. I knit, I crochet and I have tried weaving too but Macramé is something that’s been on my list to try for quite a while.
This book is perfection! There is not a single pattern that I don’t like, I want to make everything in this book. Not only are they beautiful and modern but I think they’re very much doable with the clear, easy to follow instructions! It also combines my other love- plants! Amaia tells you which plants are best and includes care tips, this is such a good idea and something I don’t think I’ve ever seen in a crafting book before.
I will absolutely be buying a physical copy of this book for my crafting bookshelf! I can’t wait to try my first pattern.
I would highly recommend, whether you’re a seasoned pro or a total beginner like me.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing an eARC in exchange for an honest review.
I want to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the ebook. I can't wait to try these! This type of craft is so popular now. I like the designs in here and they don't seem outdated.
Unfortunately some of the pictures were missing so I don’t think I can use this book for any projects but I loved the projects and finished project pictures.
A fun instructional book with plenty of pictures and diagrams to help get you started on your journey with Macrame. Now you can use all your knot skills you've learned in scouts. This book includes ideas for planter hangings, wall hangings for home and children, and other home items including bags, table runners, and pillow covers.
Thanks for a copy of this book. I started doing Macrame last year and followed YouTube tutorials to learn how to start, so I was really pleased to see this book full of ideas for practical and beautiful pieces for the home to try out.
I'd prefer a printed copy of the book rather than Kindle, as there wasn't many images to follow along or to see certain steps, or of the finished piece. I think that was a challenge with the e version rather than the overall book.
Really great collection of projects, and would recommend it to someone who had tried the craft before and looking for a project that's new and cool to do.
Twenty projects for the home with step by step instructions in words and pictorials fill this book. I like almost all of them and I think the time taken to practise will be very rewarding. They would make great gifts for new home owners, aside from lovely decorations for your own abode. They add great texture to the decor and don’t look old fashioned at all. With enough practice, you could even make your own designs, which is the ultimate aim of the author. I like that you don’t need that many supplies and tools to complete a project.
Beautiful photographs throughout show how to use the macrame masterpieces. Now to get my hands on some rope!
