This was an ok read, its not the best in this genre that I have read but it also isnt the worst. I found the writing to be good inplaces and flat in others but I think the worst aspect of this book for me was the characters and the characters developement. It felt like the author had found every spoilt brat trope they could find and put them into the characters of Paul and Alice.
The book was funny in parts but not in enought to redeem the detestable behaviour from the characters.
I partly chose this ARC due to it becoming a movie with some of my favourite actors in it - including Kristen Bell. Wedding comedies are one of my favourite genres of film so I was really hoping this book would live up to expectations!
I adore reading books about dysfunctional families who love and support each other in their own way - however this didn't really land correctly in this novel for me. I found most of the characters unlikeable - Paul and Alice came across as childish and superficial and Eloise was also extremely snooty. The characters didn't seem redeemable and the book had an anticlimactic conclusion.
