Another amazing book in the Rebel Girls series.
Rebel Girls books follow the same format, a page-long mini-biography of an amazing woman. This book focuses on young change-makers, most of whom are activists today.
Although these books are designed for children, the beautiful artwork makes them excellent coffee table books for Rebel Girls who grew into rebellious adults!
This book has biographies of so many inspiring women. It is a diverse collection of women from various fields, cultures, and backgrounds. If you know someone who enjoys reading stories that are written to inspire you to chase your dreams, this book is one to try.
The best Rebel Girls book so far, by far, and that’s saying a lot!!!
If you aren’t aware of the Rebel Girls series and the revolutions it has brought about in children’s biographical nonfiction, you have been missing out on a lot. I have read every single book of this series so far and even gifted a few copies to my kid’s friends. So believe me when I say, the Rebel Girls authors have outdone themselves this time even compared to their usual high standards.
The format is the same as the other books of the series. Each page contains a story-like biography of a young achiever on he left hand side, and an illustrated portrait of the woman on the right hand side along with a quote by her/them. As always, the illustrations are also drawn by women artists of various ages from around the world. One of the artists is just 11 years old!
Unlike earlier books in series, all the girls/women featured in this book are contemporary, which makes a big difference in connecting with their achievement. The foreword by Bindi Irwin sets the right tone for the content. This edition features some countries that have never featured before in a Rebel Girls book, such as Denmark, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, and Liechtenstein. The book includes a range of young women achievers from disparate fields such as music, STEM fields, extreme sports, environment, food, gaming and fashion. The issues covered include mental health, body positivity, environmental awareness, dyslexia awareness, refugee crisis, online security and many more. There is LGBTQIA+ rep through the inclusion of trans women. The inclusivity also extends to women with physical and developmental disabilities. What more do you want when you are looking for the right role models as well as the right inspiration for your children?
Are you still confused about whether I am recommending this or not? YES, I AM! Go and buy it for every child you know, regardless of gender. (Heck, you too read it. God knows there’s enough of negativity in our lives nowadays about the world. Books like this can help somewhat relieve our minds about the future.)
5 rainbow-coloured stars.
My thanks to Rebel Girls and NetGalley for the DRC of “Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls: 100 Inspiring Young Changemakers”. This review is voluntary and contains my honest opinion about the book.
An amazing book about young women who changed the world.
Loved the diversity of the book and meeting so many young women who are willing to change the world. 💗
We enjoyed these short informational pages about incredible women in the world. I would have enjoyed if they were a bit longer.
Rebel Girls has done it again! This time, though, readers are treated to stories about rebel girls who didn't wait until they were grown up before making a difference in the world. As much as I've loved the other books (and the podcast!), I think this might be the strongest one yet. It encourages readers to be creative in thinking about where their passions lie and how they might be changemakers themselves. Highly recommended!
I couldn't possibly say enough good things about these books. I was working in a bookstore when the first of these books came out, and I loved recommending them to customers looking for gifts of children of all ages. I gave them many times as newborn gifts that a friend or family member's baby could grow into reading. The art is astonishingly beautiful, and include an absolutely amazing range of women from across the world and history. I loved this volume in particular for celebrating young women alive now that can inspire their contemporaries. These books are a gift.
I can gush about the Rebel Girls series every day and still not sing its praises enough.
This book was a perfect addition to the series, showing even more examples of strong female/AFAB characters for us to look up to. It even included a few that I have heard next to nothing about, so it's a good read for young and old alike.
My partner even read through it and found some new things he was thrilled to learn.
Great book for young readers to inspire them to dream big. Loved reading it together with my nieces and learning together about individuals even I hadn’t heard of
Thank you so much Netgalley and the publisher for a copy of this book in exchange of my honest opinion.
I adore this series so much! I have read most of their books and I have enjoyed them all and learn something new every time.
This book introduces us to 100 very young girls that are changing the world. You are never too young to make a difference, like Greta Thunberg said, and it is so true!
I have found many inspiring stories and amazing, sensible people who, from a very young age, decided that they would do anything in their hands to contribute to the world.
Another superb book!
A lovely book with more contemporary tints and characters. I shouldn't even say that the illustrations are very nice because it's already a fact. It's definitely nice to read about inspiring women in different branches. Some of them I already knew and others I had only heard or maybe seen their name once, so clearly I was surprised.
Another fantastic book by Rebel Girls!
This was the book that just kept giving and giving.
From Amelia Telford to Taylor Swift, this book brought inspiring young changemakers from all over the world and all different walks of life together in a beautifully illustrated children's book!

I felt I knew more of the people mentioned within this one - however there were still plenty of new young women for me to learn about!
I'm a sucker for good bonus content and really appreciated that the female and non binary illustrators and authors got their own bios in the back of this book! It was great to hear a little about them, as their stories are also inspiring, and important.
The 'meet more rebels' section was also great and gave readers an opportunity to learn about the other offerings from Rebel Girls whilst it didn't feel too much like an advertisement.
Thank you Rebel Girls for the opportunity to read another excellent offering!
Just love it! This book just feel like power, women power.
I don’t have words to describe it, you have just to know that is good like the others books of this series.
Rebel girls: 100 inspiring young changemakers is the fifth volume of the best-selling Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls series, and it focuses on extraordinary young women who are making their mark on the world today.
I think this will be especially relevant for the younger generations because this book is about young women today that little kids can emphasize with and relate to, as opposed to other women who appeared in previous volumes and who lived in a very different world a long time ago.
As always, I think the illustrations are gorgeous and eye-catchy, and the format is ideal for young children. The lives of the women are concise and straightforward, highlighting the most important events of their lives.

Thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the ARC of this book. It will truly inspire someone! It was great to read about all these young inventors, artists, scientists, and many other women. The stories include Black, Indigenous, and other women of color as well as women with disabilities.
I have already preordered a copy for our library.
4 stars
I am so excited to be able to review this book Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls: 100 Inspiring Young Changemakers. Why? Because this book features 100 women alive today, creating change and inspiration for the younger generation.
This is the book every tween and teen needs in their library and the perfect gift for Christmas this year.
A lot of the women featured are new names to me and often younger than me by a year or even a few! There wasn't many born in 1992 - trust me, I checked. Forget the Forbes lists, you want to be on the Rebel Girls list instead!
I absolutely love the discover more QR codes and the fact you can find and follow most of these ladies on some form of social media is amazing for the younger generation.
The illustrations are phenomenal and varied in their techniques, I love that the artists are credited on each image. The graphics, colours and fonts make the book appealing and would engage a younger reader and the front cover is just amazing.
I was gifted a digital copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.
The Rebel Girls books just keep getting better and better! Congratulaions to all the artists responsible for the illustrations. I probably say this in every review, but it's true, I want my niblings to read these books someday. There’s so much they can learn from these women. I love how they always mention people from all over the world, exploring different cultures, professions and generations, showing how we all must believe in our dreams and in ourselves.
And I especially love this one, because my fave Taylor Swift is part of it <3
Beautiful and inspiring.
* I received an ARC from Rebel Girls in exchange for an honest review.
Love this series! My daughters and I have been reading this for bedtime and they love picking out which amazing rebel we will hear about each time. Glad the series has continued.
