This was good and creepy little folk horror novella with an ending that surprised me. Excellent fast read.
Thank you TKO Presents, TKO Rogue and Netgalley for ARC.
Dark. Chilling. Insidious. These are the words that I can probably best describe this story. I want to purchase one to get one on my hands so I can read it in the Halloween season this fall. I was hoping that my library would have it but none of them have it for some reason. It's a quick read but worth it. Definitely going to look into more backless titles from the author if they have some.
Truly chilling and dark. I read this book as fast I can. No, I devoured it. It impacts on the spooky zone of your mind and was perfect read for me. The atmosphere was tensed and the story build up was amazing. Thank you publisher for the e-arc.
One Eye Open by Alex Grecian, Andrea Mutti was AMAZING! This story was short but delivered such a punch at the end! I absolutely loved it. The perfect amount of creepy, with unexpected twists.
Juniper and her mother go back to her mother's hometown after the death of her grandmother. Once she is there, she notices things are not what they seem, and the people of the little farm town are far from normal.
The illustrations scattered throughout the story added to the creep factor and were awesome. I would highly recommend this story to anyone looking for a fun, short, CREEPY read.
The setting descriptions were fantastic, and the house seemed to have a mind of its own. It made it even more creepy and unsettling.
To say this was a short book, the character development was handled well. I could relate to the characters and have them come alive in my head, even in the brief space of time I spent in the story.
I love the little illustrations. Little visual snippets of the authors’ vision for the story.
Overall, a well-written, intriguing story. I will check out more from the author in the future.
A quick, easy and creepy read that I finished in one sitting. I loved the setting of this book, I haven't read any books that are set in Denmark I don't think and so that was interesting. I think the illustrations were also a great addition. I really liked it.
