The author cleverly uses personal experience to add realism to a backdrop of the Irish army's peace-keeping efforts both at home and abroad.
The stars of the show are undoubtedly Rocky and Lizzy, two young Irish lads growing up in Dublin. They are talented musicians and once had the support of their late mother. Now they are forced into a dangerous and deadly situation where the enemy might well be in your own ranks.
There's great characterization and also nostalgic glimpses of the Irish music scene several decades ago.

An enjoyable read that was well written, had an engaging storyline and well developed characters that were believable.
