A fantastic book that I would personally recommend to get a physical copy of the book to share with your little one. There are illustrations in the book which I think also prompts children to ask questions as well as when you read the book to them
A book that teaches children how to find new ways of expressing themselves is always a good book.
Great story , good illustrations.
A very helpful picture book for teaching children about emotions and behaviours, why they happen, and how to manage and express feelings or act in healthy ways without harming themselves or others. I agree with the description that the book would be best shared with a younger child and that an older child would be able to read it independently. For younger children, I think it would be best dipped into, rather than read all at once. The illustrations are really nice; colourful and fun.
I really wish there had been more books like this around when I was a kid!
I enjoyed using this book with the children at school, although I wish I had read it to them in smaller chunks rather than all in one go as the structure makes it a little samey to read all at once. It was a useful way to encourage them to reflect on why they might do some of the things that were in the book and I like that by giving examples, it helps those who are less confident discussing their choices the language to do so. It was good to see them thinking about why they make the choices they make and also to realise that not everyone does things for the same reasons. I also liked how well it linked to the principles we teach in our school. I definitely plan to add it to our school library as I think some of the children will enjoy revisiting it.
