This was about a college student and his adventure, insecurities and future. It went well enough with lots of potential. I wish that the characters were more dimensional and that the story was more developed.
I had a hard time stretching my imagination to make some of the jumps to this conclusion. The author has potential and I think he has a great idea. I’d like to see more with the romance. I hope this was helpful.
Thanks NetGalley for this ARC.
I loved the concept behind this book. It reminded me a little of Indiana Jones, so I was excited as I read further. The book also dealt with many difficult topics, such as depression and suicide. They were dealt with sensitively and added an extra layer of depth to the characters and story.
The characters were incredible and so well developed. Phoenix, our main character, was real and flawed and will be one I remember.
Overall, a brilliant story with genuine characters and atmospheric writing. Thank you to Netgalley, the publisher and author, for a chance to read and review this book.
