The Stock Investing Book For Beginners by Catalyst Publications aims to be a comprehensive guide for those taking their first steps in the world of stock market investing. It has a straightforward and concise beginner-friendly approach. It breaks down complex concepts into manageable pieces, making it suitable for those without investment experience. The book focuses on actionable steps and covers topics like choosing a broker, conducting basic stock analysis, and building a diversified portfolio.
Given its focus on comprehensiveness for beginners, the book lacks in-depth analysis for those seeking more advanced strategies. The publisher's other courses or resources have a heavy, distracting, self-promotional element. Also, there's limited information available about the author's qualifications or experience in the financial industry.
The Stock Investing Book For Beginners can be a helpful starting point for those entirely new to stock market investing. Its clear explanations and actionable advice can equip you with the basics to embark on your investment journey. However, if you're looking for a more in-depth analysis or information on the author's background, you might consider alternative resources alongside this book.
The Stock Investing Book for Beginners by Catalyst Publications
I thought it had some basic information that you can get all over the internet and I already knew most of the things the author talks about in this book, It is quick to read but so basic like I said all this stuff can be found easier without reading this book. I was hoping for more then what the book entailed. I think some people who don't understand the basic concepts of the stock market may like this book it will give them basic fundamentals of the stock market. After reading this I would not go run and put my money in stock just from reading this book. Not saying the stock market is bad investing is good but the book doesn't get you to a place where you can comfortable trade on your own.
Thanks to Netgalley and Catalyst Publishing for a free copy of this book for an honest review. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.
Comprehensible quick read for people who are complete novices in the investing world. Primarily focused on the US market and trading options, so not sure how helpful the book would be to European traders for example. But still a basic guide could always be useful.
The Stock Market has been all over the place lately and, unfortunately for investors, some days things do not look so good. Those who would like to understand more about how the stock market works and those who want to keep their investments as safe as possible, may want to give this title a look. This title may also be helpful to those who are deciding whether or not to invest in stocks at all.
This book begins with The Basics. Titles of some of the following chapters are Stock It To Me, Make it Make Cents, It’s All About Strategy, The Taxman, and Learn from the Best.
There is much that can be learned in this title that, in many ways, appears geared to the new (potential) investor. It is simply and clearly written.
A caution: Never forge thought that the investor is ultimately responsible for their funds.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Catalyst for this title. All opinions are my own.
