An absolutely excellent book. With some fantastic crochet patterns, which are extremely easy to follow as all of the terminology is printed in the front of the book as well as a stitch index which tells you how to do each stitch. There’s something in this book for everyone, whether you like making decorations or Ami gurú i characters, this book has it all!

Christmas is approaching very soon and All I want for Christmas is yarn is just the book which a crocheter will love to have during this time of the year.

This book have a collection of the lovely objects that one can make for Christmas ranging from Christmas tree ornaments, winter wear, cute Christmas Amigurumi’s and Christmas table decor. There is a thing for everyone in this book by Lindsey Newns.

The like the cute Amigurumi’s that this book features. The only drawback that I found this book to have was that the pictures should have been displayed in the beginning of each pattern rather than the end. I would have also like if this book had more step by step images to support each patterns.

Overall, the book is a worth have and recommend too.

Thanks to Netgalley, the publishers at Harper Collins and the Author Lindsey Newns for this Arc.

An inspirational crochet book for the Christmas period. I belong to a local village sewing, knitting, crochet group and we're always looking for inspiration for our group to make things to sell, fund raising for the village during Summer and Christmas events. I liked the quick resume of crochet terms although it would have been nice to have an illustration to remind those who are a little rusty in technique! Easy to follow ideas which would be quick to do with yarns that many of us have stashed away. I did think I would try a couple for this Christmas especially the 'String of Vintage Lights' and 'Paper Chain'. but time is against me this year! I think our group may well buy this book ready for next year.

This is a lovely collection of crochet patterns to make for the festive season and beyond. It is a book that has something for people of all crochet skill levels. There are patterns here for things a very new learner can make, providing instant results, There are also patterns that would appeal to those with more experience and everyone in between. There are stash buster projects, patterns for seasonal decorations, gifts for others or for oneself. It is also a book of ideas. One thing I really liked about the book was the fact that while all 30 of the projects could be made specifically for Christmas, many could be for any time of year, whether as written or with a few tweaks. For example, change the colour yarn used for some of the decorations or stuffed toys and they are no longer limited to a certain time of year. The adorable gingerbread man is a gingerbread man because of the colour of yarn and the embellishments. Use a different yarn and leave off some or all embellishments and you'd have a cute toy for all the year.

Beyond the patterns, which are written in UK terms (which are different from those used in the US), the author provides much useful information, like a glossary of crochet terms, a table showing the US equivalents to the UK terms, one showing the same for needle sizes, and explanations of the stitches used in crochet.

I have taught crochet at a yarn shop, to groups, and to individuals through the years and had this book been available then, I would have recommended it to my students. It provides projects that could lead to instant gratification, which is important to beginners. It also gives them something to aim for and to build upon as their skills expand. What a fun book!

All I Want for Christmas is Yarn is an inpirational guide to creating various small crochet projects with Christmas theme. Reader will learn about basic and advance special stitches as well, something so delightful because rare see it at another crochet book. As 10 years yarn crafter my self, you will amazing how small variations on our stitches could make our projects looks so much sophisticated.

The book is organized by type of projects with fun theme such as "Deck the Wall" for all various something we can hang from stocking until Advent Calender. "Dress the Tree" for tree decorations or my personal favorite " On the Good List" contains simple cute amigurumi dolls perfect for gift and stocking stuffing.

Thank you for Netgalley, Lindsey Newns and Harper Collins UK for provided me this copy. My thoughts are my own.
