The Missing Piece absolutely melted my heart. This book is beautifully illustrated and the words contained with in spread a message of love. I can’t wait to share this book with the children I work with.

This was so lovely! As a fellow long-time jigsaw puzzler, I really enjoyed Sunny's character but also loved the message that you can have lots of things you enjoy doing and that make you happy, and the importance of making friends and playing outside. The illustrations were also super cute and colourful!

I loved the idea of the story and the sentiment it was portraying and the illustrations and colours were really great and engaging. But I think the message was kind of missed by my little one. This did lead to a further discussion about what makes her happy and things that bring her joy but I'm not sure this is a book she would choose to read over and over.

A cute and colourful book about a little girl, Sunny, who loves jigsaw puzzles and relishes nothing more than the satisfaction of putting in the final piece. One day, her grandmother gives her a huge jigsaw which Sunny diligently puts together...except the last piece is missing! To find the last piece and achieve that wonderful feeling of satisfaction she craves so much, Sunny goes knocking at the doors of neighbours who previously borrowed the puzzle, hoping one of them will be able to return the lost piece. Along the way, Sunny discovers that perhaps there is something even more delightful than finishing the puzzle...something she wouldn't have experienced had she not gone looking for the missing piece!
