Ms. Keim introduces readers to three women who have been friends since they were 13 years old. Each one is now facing their 40th birthday and have some big decisions to make in their life. Ms. Keim brought Amber, Cate and Brooke to life as she delved into each of their lives and the painful decisions they now have to make before each of them can move on to new adventures. The plot was smoothly paced, the descriptive writing made Seashell Cottage and and the other settings come to life and the characters were drawn so that I had no trouble relating to them throughout the book. A lovely store filled with friendship and heart that kept me turning the pages.
The Beach Babes was such an easy comfortable read. Three friends since adolescence have a girls’ weekend in Florida to catch up. About to reach a milestone birthday, each of their lives will be transformed. New loves, new lives, new jobs, and many changes await them.
I have not read many of Keim’s books but I liked how she linked another series with this book.
I liked the friendship between Brooke, Cate, and Amber.
Steadfast friends are hard to come by.
3 women with their own journeys and struggles, but have know each other since they were kids go away on a beachy vacation. It was a good read about loss, love, support and the bond women have.
This is one of the good summer reads that I had this year.
It is not common for me to stumble upon a book that uplifts women that also caught my taste in book. I'm so happy I found this one.
This is also my first read from Judith Keim
This is basically about 3 best friends who are about to reach their 40th birthday and has decided to meet on a long weekend getaway after not seeing each other for years and to celebrate. Catching up about their lives and getting themselves time some breather.
I admire how the relationship between these three best friends seeing how they navigate their own lives and get through their own personal struggles but then again still being there for each other together with the people they can lean on.
Thank you netgalley for the copy of this book.
Cate, Brooke and Amber have been best friends since they were 13. They called themselves The Beach Babes. Now they’re turning 40 and they decide to go to the beach for a fun girls weekend. This book is about close friendships, joy, loss, new beginnings… I liked all 3 women and each one had their own struggles through life but they were always there for each other. It was a fast read for me, I read it in a day! Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this early release in exchange for my honest review.
If you are looking for a happy beach read, The Beach Babes by Judith Keim is for you! This is a story about 3 childhood bestest of friends that are still fighting their rough childhood during their adult years. They are each carving out a happy future for themselves, together. Each friend is likable and believable. I'm hoping the author has a followup to this book so I can reconnect with Cate and Jackson, Brooke and Paul and Amber and Wynton. I will be recommending this book.
Great premise but very poor character development and a storyline that seemed to have no continuity made this very difficult to finish
Loved this book! Judith Keim does what she does best!! Great story of 3 friends since they were kids, All turning 40 this year and have not gotten together in awhile. They decide to meet in Florida and not giving any spoilers. Read this book, quick easy " Beach" read. Sure you will love it as much as I did.
Thank you to Net Galley, the author,Judith Keim and the publisher for sending me this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.
I really enjoyed this book. The longtime friendships that continue into adulthood warmed my heart. Ms Keim s books never disappoint. I have read her other books and enjoy how she ties a bit of them into her new story. I would love to see a sequel(s) to this storyline! Thank you for allowing me an ARC of this book!
The Beach Babes by Judith Keim was such a fun read. A fast paced, beach read! Loved the story highly recommend!
Amber, Brooke and Cate have been friends since they were kids - and now, as they’re approaching their 40th birthdays, Cate invites the girls for a weekend getaway in Florida. Their weekend together encourages them to make changes to their lives, and through these changes their friendship becomes even closer.
An excellent summer, beach read about friendship, hardship and life in your 30s. I liked that the 3 women had very different lives and that they all saw the good and bad in what they had and what they wanted out of their lives. Their friendship was so wonderful and made me want to keep reading more about these women. Overall, a great book!
This book was an absolute pleasure to read. Anything by Judith Keim is actually. I highly recommend this book.
This ARC was provided to me via Kindle, Wild Quail Publishing and by #NetGalley. Opinions expressed are completely my own.
Quick, fun, read about three women about to turn forty.
Thank you Net Galley and Wild Quail Publishing for an early copy of The Beach Babes. It was an ok book, way tooooooooooo sappy though for me. Nothing went wrong in their lives that the chapter didn't take care of in an overly not real way. Belinda was a character that NO ONE would have stayed to work with for a week much less three years. Brooke trying to be assertive was laughable. I'm sorry I don't like to give not nice reviews but this one did not do it for me.
An engaging story of the lives of three women nearing forty. As life is it is full of joy, disappointments, sorrow, family, and friends. Eventually all three reach their happily ever after. Thanks to the publisher for providing a copy via NetGalley.
This is a quick fun read. The characters are quirky and intriguing. The story moves quickly. Romance at its best. Everyone wins. No big surprises. No mean girls. Oops…maybe one…Family dynamics…careers…love and marriage and kids. Enjoy this book circled up in a comfy chair. This book was sent to me for review by Netgalley.
The Beach Babes is a super cute "Hallmark stype" book that follows the (slightly messy, but honestly pretty normal) problems of 3 childhood best friends.
The book itself was a quick read, super cute concept, but the lack of believability was hard for me in some spots. (Who waits 4 weeks to tell your best friends some of these things?😅) but it was a really cute summer read for sure.
Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher for a temporary, digital ARC in return for my review.
Another trip back to the Seashell Cottage in this sweet beachy read.
Three best friends decide to meet up at the cottage in celebration of their 40th birthdays. Each has a whole load of problems they bring with them. And by the end of the story, all the ends are wrapped up in a happy ending. It's an easy read with great characters, definitely a beach day book.
Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher for a temporary, digital ARC in return for my review.
This book was like a Hallmark movie.
The Beach Babes by Judith Keim was a phenomenal read!
Excellent, well crafted, satisfying, feel good story that drew me in and left me with a smile on my face as I read the last page.
The characters bring to life real emotions and situations.
This story is as if you are watching a real group of friends play out their lives and drama. The vibes of the summer are paramount for this atmospheric and situational wave of emotions.
I loved getting to know all the characters in this story.
This was a page-turning novel right from the very first page. Even the first sentence was captivating, and that really is a sign of a good book!

Judith takes us back to the Seashell Cottage when three women, who have been best friends since they were children, decide to celebrate their upcoming birthdays in Florida. Cate, Brooke, and Amber are at crossroads in life as they are facing their 40th birthday.
They are sure that getting together, and talking, will help them figure out where they will be going from here. They have each been happy in their lives, but something is different now, and they will be there for each other, as they talk everything out.
One thing they all wondered was, does life begin at 40, and seeing where the women are now, then they might find out. Life is a journey, and they will see that when they turn 40. The women seem to be preparing for what is to come, even though they don't know what it will be.
Judith brings to life, the friendship of women, the supporting of their friends, they are the heart and soul of the story.
I received an ARC from Wild Quail Publishing through NetGalley.
