I really enjoyed the is cute and funny story bout poppy the golden retriever going on her trip to Devon for the summer holidays. When the family discovers a lost puppy in the woods their attention turns to the new dog. Pet owners can sympathise with poppy as she explores her feelings towards the new arrival into the family her interactions with the other dogs are also hilarious cant wait to read the rest i the series. Worth the read

It's so perfect for the story and Poppy's story.

This is a cute little story about a dog named Poppy who is so protective of her family like any other lovely dog does. The family is on holiday and Poppy is excited about the new environment. However, she starts getting anxious when the family gives their attention to a new puppy.

Poppy has to deal with it and ultimately accepts the new puppy as family.

This is such a feel-good, heartwarming story. And anybody who loves animals and have pets will enjoy the story more I feel.

The writing is fast-paced and so accessible for everyone.

Get this book as it's already available out there.

Poppy is a golden retriever on vacation with her family. This was a really sweet read, and I enjoyed all the adventures Poppy went on throughout the book, and the time Poppy spent getting to know animals on the farm. Poppy overcomes her fear of the ocean, helps a lost puppy, and befriends Sampson, a working dog that lives where Poppy’s family is vacationing. I loved the focus on family and the connection that people have with their pets. The illustrations were great, too! Thank you to NetGalley for the digital ARC and the opportunity to share my opinions on the book! I would recommend it to any middle grade reader.

Story was fair. I struggled getting into this book which made me sad as a dog lover. It’s a cute story and I would still purchase for my library.

Poppy is a retriever going on a vacation with her family.

She loves all the new smells, the other animals, but hates the water. She meets a collie, Samson, who is so cold and reserved she doesn't know what to think and ends up making a fool of herself in his presence.

While searching the forest around their vacation spot for her little human's missing Buttercup, Poppy finds a puppy who looks just like her! At first she really likes Pup, but is jealous and afraid of getting in trouble with her family fusses at her for being too excited around Pup.

Now she can't wait for Pup to go away.
