"Okay, boots, let's see if you were made for walkin'."
I don't know if this quote was pun intended or not, but it left the biggest impression on me and motivated me to keep reading, just because I love pop culture references.
The whole novel was great. I loved the fact that mystery was kept throughout the whole story, which kept me interested. It reminded me a bit of Dr. Strange, so if any Marvel fans are reading this, you're definitely going to find something for yourself.
What repelled me from giving the whole 5 stars was that at one point the story seemed finished, and I was kind of happy with the outcome, but a plot twist came and it left me a little bewildered. Maybe that plot twist could've came earlier. Anyway if it was possible, I would've given 4,5 stars, because as I mentioned, the quote still kept me interested.
Overall, the book lived up to it's expectations as "THE MUST-READ ROMANCE NOVEL OF SUMMER 2022".

When I read the blurb I thought I knew where the book was going to be about. I was so wrong.
I remember a movie with Gwyneth Paltrow called 'Sliding doors' about split decisions that change your life and how this plays out.
This story about Josie is about a bike-accident she has that somehow puts her in a parallel life. She has a different house, career and an amazing husband. But what about the other Josie? And is this life what she wants?
Both Josies struggle and prosper in their new lives. Both lives have ups and downs. It tugged at my heartstrings. The decisions they are faced with, the sadness but also happiness.
What an amazing read. I loved the ending! I highly recommend.

I couldn’t put this down- I was rooting for everyone. The pacing was great, well-written characters, and a really intriguing story. I would love to read more from this author.

It was an okay read and easy to get through. The concept of a parallel life was a great plot but I felt the writing style was not for me as it did not flow as coherently. Much of the writing was more speech rather than description.

I really, really enjoyed this book. It hooked me from the very beginning and kept me hooked the entire time!

What would you do if you woke up from an accident but in a different version of your life? Josie is off to celebrate her 36th birthday but gets into a biking accident. She wakes up in the hospital to an unfamiliar man. The man happens to be her husband! A husband she never met or remembers even marrying. Josie struggles to understand what is happening. In her “real” life she is finally *hopefully* getting the guy she has crushed on forever, her career is doing okay, and she is single but happy. Now she is in a parallel version of her life. A doting and loving husband Rob, a beautiful home of her dreams, and an amazing career. But she doesn’t recall any of this. Josie struggles to understand what is happening, and tries to uncover how she is living this new life. Josie has a decision to make: go back to her old life or stay in her new life. The book will unfold with Josie’s story and her decision to what she wants. Now what would you do?
What I loved:
-Josie! She is very relatable, endearing, and I really loved her personality. I would feel the same way she did if I woke up to a new life.
-the first chapter had me hooked! I had to know how this story would unfold. I also had to know how this was happening!
-Even though her new life sounds awesome, we still deal with some heartbreaks along the way. This made the story more believable in terms of not everything is greener on the other side. Also creates more at stake on what life she wants.
This book is a great romance, and a perfect summer read. I often loved the romance elements, and the funny moments. But even the heartbreaking moments were realistic and hits you right in the feels. I found the writing style to be great and really sucks you in. I was able to finish this book in less than 24 hours. I honestly couldn't put it down. This is definitely a book everyone needs to add to their summer reads! Thank you to Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!
