Great characters along with a special horse and dog. There is some suspense to go along with the romance and things are very interesting.
Many thanks to to BookBuzz and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.

Colorado Takedown by Cricket Rohan

One of the main characters in the book is really a bit of a city slicker who wins the lottery and decides to buy a ranch with her best friend but on arriving at the very isolated ranch alone knowing nothing about ranching and her friend isn’t there. Her first question is where is he?

The story a bit slow and in parts is very far fetched. I didn’t like the the writers style a bit to laid back as if she didn’t really want to make an effort writing this book. 2.5/5

Not really for me and I was expecting a lot more from this, the plot was ok, but I think the characters and writing may need a bit more work

I had to heavily skim this book to get to the end. I found our heroine very unlikeable, and I spent the first several chapters wondering what was wrong with her, as she seemed really off. The story line was also so very far fetched and I couldn't figure out what our hero liked in our heroine. Overall, I did not like this story. *I received an ARC of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.

This book had a great plot line. The Characters we're likeable. Unfortunately, the individual scene writing was very mediocre. Each scene felt forced and didn't really flow together.

I thought that the storyline was good and that side of the book was enjoyable

I will admit though that the style of writing wasn’t great for me – it was a little too “laid back”, there was no punch when important things occurred.
It was almost like oh dear, well its happened, let’s move on, I have read a lot of books in this genre so know what I am looking for too and what works for me – always willing to try out a new author but I wasn’t a huge fan of this one, it could have been much better had a different approach been used as they story itself was good.

It is 3 stars from me for this one

Thanks to NetGalley for the book for an honest reviews.

I did not finish this book because I couldn't. I tried to get through part one but the language was stilted and rough around the edges. There were grammatical errors. Dialogue was forced. The drama straight out the gate and the way the sheriff explained Rick's death was weird. It was a rough read.

The characters are well developed. You'll enjoy this story as the characters take this adventure and try to solve the death. Following the clues and discover who and why. Enjoyable.

A sweet western romance. Strange happenings keep the couple guessing. Lots left unexplained and some things were a tad beyond belief hence only four stars. This is entertainment and I don't expect complete reality, so I go with the flow and enjoy. I liked the author's style of writing and look forward to reading the next one in this series. Thanks to the publisher for providing a copy via NetGalley.

Colorado Takedown, the first book in the McAllister Brothers series by Cricket Rohman, sets the stage for family drama affecting brothers in very different ways. Trace and Hannah’s story started out slowly through the first third of the book, but quickly built up momentum…from that point on the mystery and suspense begin to gel and form into what made the remainder of the story the most enjoyable.

In the beginning of the story, the character personalities were less dynamic, their interactions and conversations were a bit stilted, but once the story gained that momentum, the dialog flowed more smoothly and the characters became more realistic and relatable. I appreciate how the ending of the story set the stage quite nicely for the next brother’s story, set in Montana…I look forward to reading it.

This ARC book was complimentary, provided by the Publisher and NetGalley. I am voluntarily providing my honest review.
