A nice little story to introduce children to the concept of having a younger brother or sister. I've read many of these types of books as I've prepared my own son for his imminent baby sister and I always feel frustrated by the parents in the story because they leave the older child out. For example in this one they don't play with Ruby, leave her out, and they even give her favourite teddy to the new baby. In reality I'm sure her parents would have tried to get her involved from the start, I know I intend to with my son. So I feel much of the plot is preventable and therefore not so realistic. This didn't help my son with his feelings about the new baby as we've already told him he won't be left out and he will be involved. I think if the book focused on other aspects of having a new baby then that would be more useful.

>A perfect read for little ones expecting a new little brother or sister.
Ruby is excited to have a baby to play with but the reality is a little different. This sweet story shows what having a sibling might be like, the changes you might expect and how your child can enjoy their new brother or sister. A great conversation starter if you are expecting a new little one and want to help prepare your toddler or young child.
