This is a 3.5-star-rounded-up book for me. It's a fun read. There's quite a lot to like: a well-depicted small town vibe; the fact that families are complicated and in the majority of cases, it's short-sighted to judge things in a black-and-white fashion; two strong main characters with an equally strong attraction to each other. I appreciated the way the plot developed around the rezoning issue, and that it didn't involve a contrived third-act breakup. However, I found the wedding part dragged a little (what was the point of that wedding planner?), and in the saturated market of small-town romcoms, this one probably won't stick in the memory for that long.

The story started strong but seemed to lose a bit of steam and did not keep my attention. The main characters were interesting and the supporting characters, especially her relatives were fun. However the main characters did not seem to gell,

Opposites don’t just attract—they ignite—in a flirty against-all-odds romance by Wall Street Journal bestselling author Lauren Landish.

Wyatt Ford hightailed it out of Cold Springs to get away from his influential family and the unwanted privilege that came with it. Returning for his brother’s wedding dredges up every reason he left. One unexpected bright spot: a curvy knockout who slings burgers, hustles pool…and hates the last name Ford.

Hazel Sullivan is fiercely independent and happy to be maid of honor for her best friend’s wedding, but she isn’t looking for romance. Especially not with a man whose family is dividing her town into a battleground with their development plans. Fighting the family is easy. Fighting Wyatt? Not so much. Why does the enemy have to be so drop-dead gorgeous?

The sparks that fly between Hazel and Wyatt might start out as combat, but one kiss and it’s total surrender. How is a happy ever after even possible for two people with so little in common? Except, of course, for an overwhelming attraction and that growing temptation to say “I do” themselves.

I adored this book! Hazel and Wyatt are so much fun, their banter, their chemistry and the entire plot line kept me on my toes!

Wyatt is returning for his brother's wedding after leaving during to family disagreements. He runs into Hazel at her family's restaurant and well their interactions are fun thats for sure.

As luck has it, Hazel is the maid of honor in Wyatt's brother's wedding. Their chemistry is so strong they struggle to avoid it through the events leading to the wedding and of course that makes this book so good.

The major side plotline is about Wyatt's uncle and his plans for the town as the entire town hates Jed and basically Wyatt's entire family. Wyatt spends the majority of the book finding out what is happening and deciding if he wants to stay and deal with it and stay with Hazel!

I really enjoyed The Wrong Bridesmaid - the town's story was brilliantly woven in with Wyatt and Hazel's story and really enjoyable.

enemies to lovers but not just between the two main characters but practically a whole town!
Hazel and Wyatt are decent characters to get behind and the whole story was well written and there were definite sparks leaping from these two characters. I guess I am used to more of a delay in the couple getting together

Thank you for the opportunity to read and review this book.
I enjoyed this book as it was easy to read and had a strong storyline. My only criticism is the ending. The book was building throughout but then at the end it was over, I was expecting more drama!
That being said, I will definitely be on the lookout for more books by this author.

It was a little slow in the beginning, but picked up great. I loved that there was misconceptions and conflict between all the characters. I loved the colorful characters and the adorable little town. There were so many parts to make you laugh out loud. The sexual attraction is amazing too. This is definitely a must read, but be warned it does start out a little slow.

I loved this story. They were great characters who i instantly liked. I love how they weren't perfect people and had flaws and imperfections that made you love them even more. I won't forget these characters. The storyline was easy to follow and exciting to keep me intrigued.

Loved The Wrong Bridesmaid by Lauren Landish! Characters had depth, they were relatable, and the story kept me interested. I love when a book has me interested and invested from the first couple chapters, which is exactly what this one did. Funny, light, and enjoyable!

I enjoyed this book so much. This is about a small town where politics and money usually get whatever they want but when the long-lost son, Wyatt Ford, comes home for his brothers' wedding, he will change the face of things for the future.

Wyatt has been gone for a long time and had no intention of returning to his home town but when his brother said "please" then he couldn't say no. As he drives into town he notices there have been some changes since he left and after arriving at his family's home he really starts to question what is going on.

Hazel loves her home and family and is willing to do whatever to keep her momma and aunt's businesses going. She says what's on her mind and has no problem with that. When her best friend is getting married she agrees to be her maid of honor even though Avery is marrying the enemy, Winston Ford. Hazel never saw Wyatt coming though and he has thrown her off her game in several ways. She fears now he will leave her in a broken town with a broken heart.

This book is funny and has a mystery to figure out as well as the chemistry between Wyatt and Hazel is off the charts. There is a hilarious talking bird, a crazy aunt, a baking mom, and a grandpa that will keep you laughing too. Small town at its best. I loved the book and highly recommend it.

Based off the synopsis, this romance novel was everything I wanted and more but page by page, the dislike for the heroine, Hazel, grew stronger. I'm all about strong, outspoken women but she was too crass for my liking and the fact that she fell in line with her family's thoughts about the Ford family instead of building her own opinion was just not it for me.

Besides the unlikeable heroine, the depth and character development was non-existent. We also can't forget the lack of chemistry between the main characters. Am I the only that that didn't see it? More than anything, it was more so instalust and I just couldn't picture Hazel and Wyatt together. Nonetheless- the heroine, side political storyline, and lack of chemistry made me drop this like a hot potato. Maybe next time, Lauren Landish!

Thank you for allowing me to read the ARC for this book.

I was initially pulled in by the title. I love all things romance, events, and wedding planning so I thought that this would foot the bill. While it had its cute moments, it still left a lot to be desired. This book had a lot of potential: I loved the setting, the characters, and *mostly* the relationship between the FMC and MMC. I say mostly because at times (especially in the beginning), the relationship seemed shallow, unrealistic, and rushed.

The setting of this book (as well as its title) involves events leading up to and including a wedding. However, there is another plot involving political and family issues that also somewhat ties into the wedding. I felt like there was a lot of buildup until the wedding and the other plot was more of an afterthought. It did not read as smoothly and seemed to drag the book on.

I absolutely loved Hazel and Wyatt's story. They are these great characters that are easy to fall in love with and hard to forget once you have finished reading the book. They are perfectly fleshed out with all their little quirks and flaws that make them even more endearing and relatable.
Their chemistry is out of this world, intense and oh so forbidden. But then, it is well known that the forbidden fruit tastes the sweetest. So no one can blame them for succumbing to their attraction, despite all their efforts to the contrary.

Their banter and Hazel's sharp-tongued wit and sass never ceased to make me laugh, and Wyatt is just the right amount of rough around the edges to make him that lickable badass bad boy who isn't so bad after all.
I was enthralled with both characters and their multi-layered personalities, as well as most of the secondary characters, including Lester the parrot with his witty comments.

The Wrong Bridesmaid is a fun and entertaining read with enough suspense and some unexpected twists to keep the reader turning the pages even faster only to devour this emotional, laugh-out-loud, feel-good romance novel.

Wyatt Ford, the prodigal son, returns to his old hometown of Cold Springs to attend his brother's wedding. He really hadn't planned on going, after all he left town many years ago on bad terms with his family. However, his brother wrote one word "Please", and that plea just could not be easily dismissed.
When he arrives in town, things have changed drastically. His uncle, the developer, has big plans to build this big subdivision and drive people out of their homes. The townsfolk are hopping mad and have signs all over the place with quite a few choice words about the Ford Family. At his home, his father, the town mayor is stupid drunk, and his mother is at her wits end what to do. In other words, he's come back to a $**t show!
Hazel Sulliven is just trying to keep things together. She works two jobs, both for her family and she loves to hustle the customers at pool. When a disgruntled loser gives her a hard time, at her aunt's bar, who steps in to save the day, but Wyatt Ford! Great the last thing she needs is to be beholden to a Ford. Especially one she doesn't know!
It's definitely a slow burn story with our two main characters, who are both stubborn and strong willed. Hazel is a bridesmaid, in the wedding, so they are constantly being thrown together. Hazel would prefer if Wyatt put his attention elsewhere, like the other bridesmaid and just leave her alone, but Wyatt has a mind of his own and sparks slowly start flying.
With a substory about trying to save the town, a parrot that is hysterical, and smart and sexy language, Ms. Landish has created a great, highly entertaining read that will have you laughing out loud one page and fanning yourself the next.

The sparks that flew between Hazel and Wyatt nearly melted my iPad. Lauren Landish knows how to write romantic comedies. Will recommend this story to others.
