How to Kiss Your Best Friend by Jenny Proctor is a fun, entertaining, and lovely beach read! I so enjoyed sitting down and meeting these characters. A sweet, closed-door romance when you're in the mood for a smile.

Ahh I like Jenny Proctor books!!
They are light and breezy. These are the types of sweet rom-coms that I want to read on a holiday wrapped up in a blanket.
This book, as the title suggests, is a friends to lovers trope. And uh where do we get the guys like Brody? Just wondering. Anyways, Brody is always in love with Kate, who loves to travel the world(away from her problems too). They meet after years for a summer when Kate visits the town to clear her grandma's house. They are constantly attracted to each other but no one dares to make a move. So how does this turn into a relationship?
I loved this simple story set in a little town(not good with names, sorry). I loved the whole family of Brody.
I just feel if the title makes sense? Because I didn't quite catch anything on how to kiss your best friend. For sure, they are bestfriends and they kissed. But I wonder about the 'How' part. Or Maybe I misinterpreted it thinking there will be some formula or rules. Other than that I loved it.
Thank you netgalley and publishers for the ARC.

This friends-to-lovers sweet romantic comedy is the perfect beach read! This is my first book from Jenny Proctor and it won’t be the last! Full of all the attraction and none of the excess. I loved Brody’s persistence and his banter back and forth with Kate. I adored the Hawthorne family and their family business! This story is delightful and kept me wanting to read long after my bedtime! Readers will swoon over Brody! Looking forward to more in this series of Hawthorne brothers!
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions in this review are my own.

How to Kiss Your Best Friend by Jenny Proctor
This book was adorable and had me grinning at my phone like a psycho during my daughter’s ice skating lesson.
Brody has been in love with his best friend Kate for as long as he can remember. His life is in small town Silver Creek, where they grew up but Kate couldn’t get out of there fast enough. Sure, she has visited a few times and mostly stayed in touch but it’s been a while. When Kate reaches out saying she’ll be spending the summer, Brody’s not sure what to do. Can he maintain the friendship without falling even harder?
Kate has been feeling conflicted. Her lifestyle of constant travel is no longer fulfilling but is she really ready to put roots down? And if so, where? Her career depends on her travel.
There were several laugh out loud moments for me in this book. I loved the relationships in Brody’s family. I appreciated the growth Kate experienced throughout the story. I also love a math whiz with muscles, considering that’s exactly what I married.😏 I’m team Brody all the way.

I really loved How to Kiss Your Best Friend. I liked the dynamics between Kate and Brody and adored the way they got together. Definitely reading more from Jenny Proctor.

This was absolutely what I was looking for. I was getting fed up with reading crime fiction and need some good ole fashioned romance to pick me up.
Good dual aspects of Brody and Kate. Everybody can see these 2 best friends are mad for each other but for some reason they both can't see it themselves. Brody has loved Kate for 19 years but after Kate's cousin mentions something about Brody, Kate sudden realises that she is falling in love with Brody too.
Unfortunately Kate has Wanderlust and can never stay still long enough but she's staying for the Summer to do up her grannys house before selling it... or will she? Does she have a reason to stay in Silver Creek?
Loved reading about the "will they wont they?". What event will make them realise about how they feel about one another?
I really enjoyed this book and what was the cherry on the cake for me was that its part of a series of you will.. so guess what I'm off to do?

How to kiss your best friend was a really entertaining and super adorable book. I'm a huge sucker for bestfriend to lovers trope and i really liked the whole plot. The MMC was such a good book boyfriend , i was swoooooooooning. i do believe i found the fmc a little annoying at times but you know what? understandable considering all the went through and the fact that she was confused about so much of her life is something i related too much too. this was such a good start to a series. i can't wait for the other books ahead. such a cute friends to lovers !!!! would love to reread it on a day i feel down :)

Looking for a small-town rom-com with a bit of angst? Look no further. This heartfelt story follows two childhood friends who against all odds, find love with each other. It was such a cute and captivating read, Definitely recommend it if you're in the mood for some pining and overall fluff.

Five stars! Loved this book so much! Loved revisiting the Hawthorne family and can’t wait for the rest of the brothers to get their story. Brody seems like the ultimate package! Thankfully after 19 years of friendship Kate is finally seeing what is right in front of her after 4 years apart and a “glow up”. The only problem is Kate is a world traveler and Brody is happiest at home in his small town. Can Kate get past all her baggage so they can make things work? Or will she resent him for preventing her from living her dream?

This was such a great story! I need to know all about the Hawthorne brothers! And I also need to go kayaking ASAP! The tension between Kate and Brody was wonderful. Brody's loyalty is unwavering. It took Kate some time to truly see him, but I'm so happy how everything worked out! Reminds you that not everything is what it seems.
I couldn't put it down, and read it at 2am.....

What a fantastic start to a series with the Hawthorne brothers. They are truly a lovable bunch, each with their own quirks. Brody Hawthorne (aka The Human Calculator) has been pining for his best friend Kate since childhood. And after four years without contact, Kate is back in Silver Creek.
I really loved the effortless way their friendship found its groove again after time apart. Working as a travel writer, Kate isn't stationed in one place for very long. Despite the fiery attraction brewing between her and Brody (ahem, the towel scene! ), how can her lifestyle coincide with his small-town life? I really felt for both sides of this relationship—Kate struggling with being reliable, and Brody continually being sent into a spiral of hope. It was refreshing to see such great communication within a friends-to-lovers romance.
And as someone who loves a touch of adventure in a story, it was a lot of fun to have Brody experience whitewater kayaking! I loved the details included. so entertaining! I cannot wait for book two.

How to kiss your best friend is an upbeat and lighthearted romance with a fresh take on the small-town romance trope.
Brody Hawthorne is a dedicated teacher, silently in love with his best friend, Kate Fletcher. Kate, who travels the world, hasn't been home since high school graduation. Until now. She is ready to clean up her grandmother's house and get it ready to sell. But Silver Creek isn't the same as it was before. Brody isn't the same as before, and she can't seem to ignore how he affects her. Can she leave her nomad ways behind her and settle in the town she left behind all those years ago?
This is a clean romance, but it compromises in no way. The chemistry between Brody and Kate was undeniable, and their banter brought a smile to my face every time. The internal conflict, especially within Kate, is one that grabbed onto me and didn't let go until I finished this book.
Read this if you love:
- friends to lovers
- small-town romance
- quick and easy banter between friends/lovers
Thank you, NetGalley and Four Petal Press for the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

How to Kiss your best fiend is a wholesome, sweet read ! It was such a joy to read such a lovely romance. The story explores Kate and Brody points of view throughout, looking at how their feelings are changing, how they feel about their emotions for the other and also dealing with external factors outside of the relationship and friendship. Thank you netgallery and four petal press for letting me read and review this !
It was a great friends to lovers trope and it was wonderful to see that it was actually Brody who was in love first and for a long time. It's also interesting to see Kates point of view on Brody change after not seeing him for four and a half years and how much of a glow up he has had !
It's made me excited for the rest of the Hawthorne brothers series which Jenny
Is bring out !
It was also a joy getting to know some of the characters which help set up for the next book, I loved how Brody's sister was the one looking out for him and didn't want to see him hurt.

We all need a Brody in our lives
This is a really good friends to lovers book. There was lots of history between Katie and Brody. Brody has loved Katie since they were children and then she ghosted him for years. Now she’s back and he’s confused about his feelings.
There’s was a particular funny scene involving a towel, which complicates things even more.
I can’t wait to read the next in “how to kiss” series to find out about the next Hawthorne brother, Perry, I really enjoyed all the characters and stonebook farm. It’s truly a place I would love to visit!
Thanks to netgalley and four petal press for the ARC. All view’s are my own.

This was a clean friends to lovers romance, with a guaranteed HEA. The romance did seem to come completely out of left field, in that the male lead has been in love with the female lead since they were kids, but she only noticed him in that way when she came back to her home town to visit and saw his muscles. From there though it got interesting as you could see her hang ups threatening what could be, and how they would work it out. The ending was well written and enjoyable, and the whole book felt the perfect length

Thank you to Jenny Proctor Books for a free copy of this book!
If you like the friends to lovers trope, I'm going to urge you to read this book. This is done so pitch perfectly that you will be swooning over the sweetness and connection. Brody has been pining over Kate since before he can remember and she maybe isn't his best friend anymore?! But she's back temporarily and it's bringing those permanent feelings back up to the surface. And Kate sees Brody as just a friend, but he got quite the glow-up and maybe she is tired of her jet setting way of life, just maybe. I loved the banter and the history between these two. I loved how they supported each other's careers and how they are attracted to what makes each other tick. Their chemistry was palpable and I found myself wanting to go on a kayak trip with these two!
This is a closed door romance with some sizzling kisses.

⭐⭐⭐✨/5
Since he was eleven years old, Brody has had feelings for his childhood best friend, Kate. Unfortunately, she has never returned his feelings. After she moved away as a freelance travel writer, they lost touch. Brody never stopped thinking about or loving her, but just as he was about to give up, he received a text message informing him that she was on her way home. So, what could possibly go wrong?
This was a charming Best Friend to Lover book that will tug at your heart strings. Brody is the ideal book boyfriend anyone could hope for. I truly felt terrible for him. Kate had so much baggage that it was inevitable that she was oblivious to her true feelings. Anyhow, I like how the author portrays their struggle in such a way that you can't help but wish them happiness. In addition, the setting was ideal; I felt as if I had been there the entire time. However, I would have preferred scenes or scenarios from the Appalachian Trail hike to have been included.
Furthermore, I'm embarrassed to admit this somehow, but the reason I gave it a 3.5 star is because I prefer the enemies-to-lovers trope, and only from a single perspective. I think I enjoy the tension, and torturing myself by not knowing what the other character is thinking. Not only that, but I'm a sucker for drama and angst. Isn't it ridiculous? Anyhow, this is merely my view, and it is not intended to discourage you from reading this book. It's most likely my personal preference, but you should read it and decide for yourself. Jenny Proctor's writing has piqued my interest, and I'm eager to read more of her work. Perhaps the plot of the other sibling will appeal to me more.
Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for providing a copy in exchange for an honest review.

Sweet and cute Romance
The story is about Brody a hot chemistry teacher who is in love with his childhood best friend Kate. But Kate does not share the same feeling for Brody.
Kate had left the small town silver creek to accomplish her career as a travel journalist. She comes back after a decade to sell her grandmother Nora's house.
Will Brody be able to stay away from Kate to avoid his heart from breaking? Will Kate reciprocate Brody's love ? Will Kate be able to stay in silver creek for longer ? Read on to find out.
A cute and sweet romance. Realistic characters, A hero who loves unconditionally, A heroine who is confused due to her parents divorce. The language is simple and easy to read. Though there are no steamy scenes the story keep you engaged.

Book 45: @jennyproctorbooks has done it again!!! I am a huge fan of her Some Kind of Love series, so I was so excited for the arc of the first in her series about the Hawthorne Brothers, How to Kiss Your Best Friend, thanks to @netgalley . Reading the story between Kate and Brody, who loved each other platonically and romantically (from afar) for 19 years was soooooo good for my soul. I am a big believer in love, in friendship first, and in being patient to find the “Happily Ever After”. Combine that with the revisiting of Stonebrook Farm and Perry and Tyler and Olivia. 💖💖💖💖💖 I can’t wait to read Perry’s story next! How To Kiss Your Best Friend released May 23, 2022.
